Tsim Sha Tsui
Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighborhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

We were surprised that the walls and ceiling were black, it did not look like that at all in the published photos. We felt very uncomfortable in the small and dark room. Elevator is very tiny as well, can only fit about 3-4 persons. I’m not sure about their service because we weren’t assisted with our luggage. Location though is near Harbour City Mall and about 3min walk away from MTR.

The first time we went to HK as a family, we stayed at the Salisbury YMCA. Unfortunately, prices have skyrocketed since they finished renovations, and its almost as expensive as next door neighboor Peninsula. I was very lucky to have found Hotel Pravo, which was conveniently located right behind the two hotels, and thus in the best location in Kowloon -- a few minutes walk away from Victoria Harbour. Its located in a side street with high end stores, a McDonald's at the corner (perfect for quick breakfasts), small local stores, and a 7-11 across the block. We had a very nice suite room -- smaller than the usual suite rooms we've stayed at, but expected given the lack of space in Hong Kong -- with a nice view of Kowloon Park Drive (but the downside to the wonderful view is the noise from outside). The MTR station is a few steps away. PLUS this was the first hotel I stayed at where all of the drinks in the minibar / fridge is free! They had juices, water, beer, and soda. Kudos to the staff manning the reception -- they were very nice and helpful with our questions, lent us umbrellas when we needed it, and gave us helpful tips on the better way to the airport for our family from the hotel (instead of the Airport Express, we took the cab which was cheaper and the trip was just a few minutes longer, with better views).

I was blown away by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at Pravo hotel. They were so kind and catered to our every need. The room itself was great, spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds and very clean. I wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely be back on our next trip to Hong Kong.

Quite disappointed, we didn't get the room like the pictures it posed in the agent's website. The lobby staff didn't provide good solution to the problem. Further, they do not give us feedback and information as we asked.
