Their afternoon tea lounge not only was decorated beautifully like a Garden. The scones were warm and buttery. The price was reasonable and best of all their coffee and tea is unlimited refill. Lovely place to sit and relax and catch up with friends comfortably.
Booked the hotel for my quarantine stay (14 Days). HKSAR requires that you book for 14 days even though you will have to spend the night at their place on day 1. 1) I called to say that I would be a day late (as per the situation noted). It took a manager almost an hour to “as a matter of courtesy” to extend my stay 14 days. 2) when I checked in, given that I was basically stuck in solitary confinement for 14 days, I asked about how to get a) my clothes washed, b) some fresh food (v. Living off of McDonald’s for two weeks), c) how to arrange for some work related items to be delivered so that at least I could work. First response, none of that can be done. I would have to wash my clothes in the sink. I asked to arrange for my doctors office to come deliver some medicine, and give me a bit of a health check...reply, “cannot be done” After again having spoken to the manager, now all of a sudden it was ok to get my laundry sent out once. But still cannot have my doctor come to bring some medicine and get a health check. And I’m pretty much stuck with Deliveroo for two weeks If I wasn’t sick when I got here, between the filthy bathroom, two weeks of fast food three meals a day, and no meds, I will be by the time I leave. When I insisted to move to a different hotel, HKSAR said that I would be arrested. I then asked to leave the country and was told that I have to stay. Worst hotel that I’ve ever stayed at. Avoid at all costs. If I could rate less than 1 star I would give it negative stars.…
I stayed at the Lan Kwai Fong hotel during my 14 days quarantine period when I return to the HK. They are one of the few hotels that accept people on quarantine which I think it's honorable. During the 14 days the hotel has very tight rules that I can leave the room nor have any visitors. They help deliver food or things send by friends to my room , leaving it outside of my door. No one came into the room. Although there is no room cleaning (which is understandable), they provide me with clean towels and linen upon request. Despite the restrictions, I felt that the hotel has done a great job making me, as a guest, felt very safe because they have very careful procedures to keep the hotel clean and safe. They were also very attentive and efficient to my request. I have a room with large windows on two sides of the wall. So there is light and great view of the harbour. This made the stay indoor for 14 days pleasant and do-able. The only small point for improvement is the breakfast. They send to the room every morning on time (great!) but I had the same breakfast for 14 days! They should provide a couple of options. Thanks again to all the staff who made my stay pleasant.…
A 4-night stay just before the Cornavirus quarantine started so I was fortunate with the timing. These days you need to be able to trust hotels are doing all the right things and this hotel seems to be doing a great job in a difficult time. They check the temperature of all guests coming back to the hotel using an infrared thermometer. It might seem like an imposition however we're all in this together and it's for our own safety. There are staff continually cleaning surfaces in the lobby, elevator and 4th floor terrace. Housekeeping keeps the room really clean and provide unobtrusive service. The staff were all really nice. The hotel is located in an interesting area. Close to Hollywood Rd, SoHo, and the escalator district. Due to Hong Kong's use of facemasks and sanitary measures most of the cafes and restaurants were still open and there are lots close by this hotel. The famous Kau Kee Beef Brisket Flat Noodle place is a minutes walk away. There is also an Agnes b. French-style bistro-cafe close by.The Sheung Wan MTR station is also a short walk. There is a terrace on the 4th floor for guest use with a self-help coffee machine, and tea-making supplies. There's outdoor seating with interesting views over the local neighborhood. Once the travel restrictions start to ease up I recommend a stay at this hotel. They're doing a great job in a difficult time which is a good test of their service levels.…
We stayed here for the first two nights of our trip and then the last night. For the first visit, we received a warm welcome from reception and our luggage was delivered to our room. We had a good view over the harbour and the room, whilst compact, had everything you needed. Sadly it was an adjoining room and our neighbours were exceptionally noisy on and off throughout the night…..enjoying each other shall we say!! The breakfast room is pretty soulless but the lady who ran the breakfast was lovely. Scrambled eggs were good but could have done without the mouldy bread which I didn’t see until I was halfway through my slice of toast. We checked out at 05.00 to catch our flight – the night staff leave a lot to be desired. He asked us if we had taken anything from the minibar but then made us wait whilst he sent someone to check. We were pretty much dreading going back to this hotel for our last night but emailed ahead and requested a non-adjoining room. We arrived very late, so again had the pleasure of the unfriendly night staff. No greeting this time and no help with luggage (understandable I guess if he is on his own). We had a great night’s sleep (skipped breakfast) and they gave us a complimentary late check out until 16.00 which we paid to extend until 19.00. The return visit is the only thing that bumped this up from a 2 rating. One last thing – they play music in the hallways (elevator type stuff) which plays from early morning until late at night. It is audible whilst in the room and very irritating.…
