Getting there
Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I stayed here overnight to break up the flight back from Christchurch (New Zealand) to London. I have been to Hong Kong many times for business and I like Causeway Bay and Wanchai on Hong Kong island. If crowed buzzy cities are not your thing, this hotel might not be the best choice, but I love this part of Hong Kong.
The location is very central next to Times Square and there is an MTR station in the adjacent mall. This makes it very easy to get to/from the airport. Take the Airport Express from HKG to Central (HK$115) and then the MTR three stops from Central to Causeway Bay. (Tip: there are multiple exits from MTR stations, so figure out ahead of time which one brings you up into Times Square).
The rooms are standard Holiday Inn Express, which means they are clean, with all the usual amenities and quite spacious by budget Hong Kong hotel standards. The hotel was very reasonable at £96/night for a non-refundable advance booking with breakfast, getting a small discount as an IHG member. IHG membership is also worth getting, as it gives you free late checkout at 14:00.
Finally, the bad bit: breakfast. The restaurant where breakfast is served is down a long dingy corridor, which helps shape your expectations that it is not going to have a Michelin Star. Sure enough, the restaurant is like being in a backpacker hostel. Everyone is squeezed together with strangers on large round tables and there is a choice of four plated and lukewarm breakfasts. I had something called Eggs Royale, which was basically a lump of concealed scrambled egg on a piece of toasted bread I could hardly cut through. I gave it up quickly and went for a walk to get some Dim Sum outside.
Overall though, I would recommend the hotel as being good value, well-located with good rooms. Flag the breakfast and use the money you have saved on the hotel booking to get a proper Hong Kong Dim Sum breakfast in one of the many cafes and restaurants in the streets around.

My family and I visited Hong Kong and stayed for a night. We had booked two separate rooms. The room was quite good enough but it was very small.
The location was excellent as it was very close to the MTR Causeway Bay Exit A and across from Times Square shopping center. Alan was very good and should be recognized for his friendly and welcoming service. We appreciated the welcome amenities and were recognized as IHG elite members. I am a Diamond elite member and my mom is a Platinum elite member. We also appreciated the complimentary room upgrade as well as the super fast complimentary WiFi. Though the breakfast could be improved. Thank you.

The hotel offers the greatest value with its convenient location across from Time Square where the Causeway Bay MTR station is. Hysan Place, Lee Garden, Sogo department store , Victoria Park are all within walking distance along many choices of restaurants. Although the room size was small, the hotel was dated and the breakfast had very limited choices, the convenient location, the clean room, the excellent customer service and the adequate cost per night made this hotel a rare find. There were newer hotels with larger rooms, better breakfast in HK but their cost per night might be double and much more. The room was well insulated so no noise from next rooms was heard even when the TV was on. That is very rare nowadays when hotel room walls are ,most of the times, thin as paper. I did get a high floor room as requested. I stayed 6 nights around lunar new year and had a wonderful experience.

It pains me to write this review as I'm usually not fussy.
First, the positive thing about this property: the location. You're smack right in the middle of times square with excellent connectivity to airport and attractions thanks to the causeway bay mrt just a few minutes away by foot.
You've got malls, restaurants, shops everywhere and it feels very authentic.
We booked this hotel for a total of 2 nights as part of a multi-country trip in asia (we stayed exclusively in IHG properties). Check in was polite, professional.
For the most part of our stay the lobby was full of luggage. I can imagine they have a lot of tour groups staying–it was literally everywhere.
You get some nice vouchers for discounts on coffee and breakfast at the nearby cafe or you can have breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast is operated by a third party and serves you a set meal (no seconds). It tasted ok but this must have been the worst offers of a holiday inn express–a buffet meal service would've been preferred.
Now to the negative part of this property: It smelled so bad! The floor we were in smelled mouldy which extended to the rooms, we could barely breathe. Carpets and humidity DO NOT mix well.
It was so bad I couldn't even bring myself to walk barefoot in the carpet in the room.
The layout of the toilet was also quite weird where there's only one door that closes the bathroom but if you need to go to the toilet the bathroom stays open.
One positive was that the room was very spacious! For Hong Kong quite impressive.
Hong Kong hotels tend to either be very expensive and great or budget. There's not much in the middle.
Looking back, I guess I would've paid more to get a better hotel instead of having to fret going back to a mouldy room after an exhausting day of sightseeing.
I would choose another hotel when in Hong Kong.

We stayed for 3 n nights, arrival was met with very helpful and courteous staff. Breakfast was placed at the door on time every morning. All phone calls to the reception were promptly answered. Bed is semi firm and very comfortable, bathroom small but very functional, there is even a small sofa in the room, very quiet, no noisy fridge or AC, cannot hear any other noise from outside. The only comment for improvement is the breakfast which is a bit bland.

・Room The room was just right for two people. There was enough space to spread out two beds and two suitcases. The sink had too much water, so it spilled, and the toilet and sink shared the same door, so it was hard to get used to it.
・Service Breakfast was included, but instead of having breakfast, we received a Starbucks card worth $50 per person. There is a Starbucks in Times Square near the hotel, so it's easy to use.
・Location It was good that Causeway Bay Station, Times Square, and City Supermarket were nearby. It was easy to get to Ocean Park and the airport, and we could buy dinner, so it was easy to do activities. The location is also great, as you can walk a little to the center where Sogo and Victoria Park are located.

This hotel is located next to Times Square with convenient access to MTR and shops and restaurants. The size of the room is decent with a window that opens to the Causeway Bay skyline especially since we were on the 26th floor. The hotel staffs were super nice and friendly and helpful. But don't expect too much of the breakfast since it consists of a choice of just 4 meager sets. They are actually not too bad, just not the buffet one comes to expect of Holiday Inn Express. Besides the room rate, they also tacked on "Additional Charges", making the room quite expensive for hotels of this calibre.

I was staying there for three months while I was waiting for my new home to be settled. It is located right next to Times Square and close to anything you need daily. Sound proof from outside was amazing that you wouldn't hear anything from the street no matter how busy it was. The deal I had was excellent. Housekeeping came everyday to refresh the room and change everything once a week.
Great deal if you are planning to stay away from home for awhile.

I really liked the location as its, 1. conveniently located near Causeway Bay station, exit to Times Square. 2. Just right across Times Square Mall. 3. Walking distance to different popular food options. Causeway Bay is already a good spot in Hong Kong. Room was spacious and clean.
Room for improvement, Bidet in Toilet please :D, Lift, set breakfast menu (however, McDonald's voucher was a good alternative), Was not able to interact with Staff, limited opportunity - on check in it was basically the transaction. On check out, queue was too much for 2 staff, only was able to drop the keys in a box.

The location of this hotel is excellent in Causeway Bay being that its right near Times Square. Check in was very swift at this hotel and IHG status recognised so free gifts and late check out was given.
The room was a good size for Hong Kong standards with good size beds and sofa. The bathroom was also quite decent. All toiletries and sufficient clean towels are provided.
Holiday Inn express always provide free breakfast and I personally liked the breakfast arrangement of this Holiday Inn express compared to others I have been to around the world. They seat you at a table in the restaurant and give you an option of different set meals and choice of drink. The choices I thought were fairly good with a mix of local Hong Kong style and international choices.
For a reasonably priced hotel in a good location in Hong Kong I would say this Holiday Inn express ticks the boxes.
