We have recently returned after twelve days at the hotel and yet again we were not disappointed. We arrived at 10a.m. In the morning and were immediately greeted by the manager and although our room was not quite ready we were given another room to...More
Our impression of this hotel is average. The rooms are small and the shower even smaller. The location is miles away from anywhere and I would describe this as a transit hotel. Compared to some 4* hotels we have been to and stayed I would...More

Over the years, I have stayed at dozens of hotels internationally. However, I was astonished at the level of personal service that took place during this trip. I arrived after traveling 30+hours and was quite exhausted. It was before their normal check in time but...More
The hotel was not the most central but was within easy access to everything we needed especially the stadium, just dont take a detour up the hill. We though it was a short cut. :-) Hotel staff were very helpful and our room was excellent....More
This was the 2nd time we visited HK, to see our son. The hotel was booked for 2 reasons, reasonably priced and not too far from where he lives in Causeway Bay. We were aware that there is a walk to the MTR. There are...More

Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of
buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.

We were four girls in a family room. The space was a bit tight but the beds were comfortable. Two girls shared a double bed each. When we visited there were many families with children, so I think it would an appropriate location for your family too. The train station is in walking distance, there is also a shopping mall in walking distance, about 10-15mins, that you could go for meals too. For our trip, we found the location convenient for all we wanted to do and see. The hotel can call you a cab if you prefer that way of traveling too.

As for breakfast - make sure where breakfast is being served. If it is at the Dorsett, it should be fine. If it is at a restaurant near the hotel, then that breakfast is not that good. That restaurant breakfast is a noodle soup, toast, "omelet" and coffee or tea.
