The indigo Hong-King offers a very refreshing a very welcome hotel experience. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and intelligently attentive. Small bar on the roof floor, good Cantonese restaurant attached to the hotel. I was fearing that the location would be problematic as being further away from the business district but the staff has always been able to secure transportation... More

Very smart hotel. Good price, nice design (functional with lots of powerpoints, room for bags, but nice colours and artwork to make everything pretty), gorgeous bathroom, great location. Just around the corner from street market. Nice bar. Oh, and the view from that gorgeous lap pool which overlooks the green hill. 100% recommend and would stay again.

I go to HK regularly on business, and have tried a dozen hotels in this price range. It is the best by far. Excellent location in Wanchai, 5 min from MTR. New building, room size "normal' - (in HK some 4* hotels you can barely squeeze by the bed); very quiet, no outside noise getting in, efficient front desk and... More

Stayed at Hotel Indigo HK island on 29th and 30th Jan. The hotel itself is well located just a short distance from Wan Chai MTR. The hotel has that nice little Indigo touch to differentiate it from other IHG brands and felt quite upmarket but without the upmarket room rates. All of the staff that I interacted with were excellent.... More

Nice rooms with amazing city view in perfect location. Close to everything. Small hotel with bar at top floor. Breakfast ok but nothing special. But as I really wanted a hotel with infinity pool and that was the only reason I booked this hotel I am still disappointed and would be reluctant to stay there again. I think they should... More

Dear Kristina_i_Nacka Thank you for your review to us, and it is a great pleasure to learn from there that you like the view of our room and our location. However, the closure of our swimming pool, which has been suspended due to a safety measure, had let you down. Please accept our sincere apologies to your disappointment. My team... More

We travelled as a family of 4, the hotel provided us with a connecting room which served us superbly. The kids had their own room, we had ours. The beds were very comfortable, all amenities provided were of great quality. There are great restaurants close by and a great bakery (Eric Kayser) right across the street. Unfortunately the pool was... More

This is the first time I switched from major chains like Marriott and Hyatt for a business trio. I used to live closed by and was intrigued by the design. The price was a major factor since this is high season for CNY. I loved the room design and functionality as well as amenities. The breakfast buffet is delicious and... More

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times, each time for 2 nights, in one of the corner suites. LOCATION Location is good, central, very close to metro. Just drop me a DM if you want to know how to walk to hotel from metro...it's a bit complicated! There is a very well stocked supermarket across the street, plenty of... More

Amidst the high rise of Wan Chai conveniently close the metro station and tramway. Very clean, compact but convenient shower area, electric curtains and blinds giving special views from corner room. We got a free upgrade to a superb corner room, probably due to pool maintenance and a venue going on that night that did not hinder is at all... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
