Getting there
Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
It's not far from the station, and there are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. To check in, go down the stairs next to it to the lobby in the basement.
Amenities included non-woven towels and full-body bath gel in the shower room. Other items can be purchased from the vending machine in the lobby. Slippers, toothbrushes, razors, sanitary products, etc. (chargers, drinks, and snacks were also available).
The room was clean and spacious enough for one person. The only furniture was a bed, a simple sink, and a small side table, and there was an electric kettle and a hair dryer. The bathroom was just barely wide enough that if you sat on the toilet and closed the door, your knees would hit it when you stood up. The WiFi was strong enough. The air conditioner was too strong even on a low setting, so it was cold, but I turned it off, but it was just right. I could hear a little talking in the hallway, but there were few other guests, so it was quiet at night.
It was fine for the price, but I would have liked it to have a refrigerator and hangers.

I flew to HK 2-3x a year for work. Stayed at many different hotels and one thing I noticed is often times hotel room in Hongkong lack sunshine because of the surrounding buildings and also small window size. Therefore, I find those rooms often times smell musty and has this unpleasant humid air inside the room. This time I decided to try Mini hotel as I am flying solo and wanted a city center hotel. I was given the highest floor (19th) and I was actually surprised when I entered the room. It is smaller than I thought it would be but one thing I noticed & loved was the huge window right by the bed which is a rare thing in HK. It makes the room airy and pleasant. There is no musty smell nor humid bedsheet because I make sure to open the curtain so my bed gets plenty of sunshine everyday. The bad thing is the wall is really thin, i can even hear my neighbour opening plastic packaging. However, I always bring earplug everywhere I travel and with it, I slept really well in this hotel. I think the mini double room is perfect for solo traveler, but it’s too cramped for two people. During my stay here I often bumped into the toilet glass wall and I am a woman with normal height & weight. So I think if you are on the taller side be mindful that you’re gonna bump into the wall alot. I also love the location. I felt very safe walking to the hotel at night and it is within 5 minutes walk to the heart of causewaybay where there are endless of shopping and dining options. Overall, a solid solo traveller hotel. Will definitely stay here if I ever fly solo again.

The room was good overall. It had a view, good AC, and dehumidifier. The lobby was nice and had a good space to do some work. It’s location is ver central in causeway bay and only a 5 minute walk to the MTR. The only issue I had was with how small the bathroom was. I kept bumping into the sink whenever I used the toilet. We also had to buy the amenities like toothbrushes since it didn’t come free.

The staff behavior is not good. They gave us disposable towel and if you want more then you have to buy even you cannot charge your mobile because they don't have normal switches in the room, if you want to use the switch you have to buy new switch from the front desk. You also have to buy slippers for room. There is no water in the room. The wash basin is in the room not in washroom. The washroom size is too small even you cannot sit properly on the seat your leg will be outside the bathroom door. Even there is no soap for wash hand.

Yes, as the name suggests it is mini. I have stayed here a few times. Most recently now. Rooms are tiny. Having said this, Hong Kong is not cheap. I come often. This hotel is very conveniently located right near Causeway Bay MTR. You have shopping, restaurants and convenience stores all around you. Good central location to get around Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Very clean, basic but does the job. You have air conditioning, hot water, a window, WIFI, a comfortable bed and friendly staff. Staff are helpful. To note, you enter and exit the hotel on the ground floor. Reception is located on floor B1. Safe as a solo female traveller. There is no restaurant on the premises or dining options. Rooms are cleaned daily but if you are staying for a long period, then you need to tell them if you want bed linen changed during your stay. My main negative are the towels! They give disposable towels (2 sets) which are replenished every three days. I didn't like them as it didn't really dry you properly. Other than that, I would recommend. They don't provide any complimentary toiletries. There was a hairdryer and kettle in the room. To be honest, your likely to be out all the time. There is so much to do in Hong Kong. I literally came back to sleep and shower or freshen up during the day. I was out most of the time.

Thank You Mini Hotel Causeway Bay for the comfortable accommodation. We stayed there for 4night and 5 days last April 30th to May 4th 2024 celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary in Hong Kong. The room is small but clean!!! Toilet and shower room too!
It feels like way too far to walk from the MTR stations to the hotel for the first timer like us, but then luckily we found out an alternative route which is shorter way to go back to the MTR Station.😁 The hotel was so cutie with a classy vibes when your coming to the lobby and welcomes you with a very nice scent of the lobby and it’s a plus. We arrived around 11:30am and able to checked in early after our flight. The room is small, but enough for 2 couple/people who will only be staying in the room for a night like us and have to leave early in the hotel to have our tours scheduled. Disposable towels are provided, also heaters, hair dryer, shampoo&Conditioner too in the shower. Also good thing about this hotel is they clean the room daily😀 and it’s always a good thing coming back to the room clean and tidy from our tiring tour whole day. A lot of convenience stores as well around the hotel, just a walking distance.
The staffs are also so kind and prepare 500HKD for incindental deposit and refundable when checking out! 😀
Thank You so much again! 😀 we will definitely coming back.

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Mini Hotel Causeway Bay. I can't believe they have a 6+ rating. I booked the hotel through Agoda and accidentally double-booked. I emailed them to cancel, but they refused. I then called and spoke to them in person, and they insisted I keep the booking. I agreed to come and confirmed the arrangement.
After a 10-hour flight, I arrived at the hotel only to be told by the receptionist that my booking had been canceled by Agoda. When I showed them the green confirmation from Agoda, they still insisted it was canceled and blamed Agoda. They asked me to call Agoda, who confirmed my booking was still valid. I called Agoda, The receptionist argued with Agoda’s call center, yelling at both me and Agoda representative, and said to Agoda , no room all booked out! Eventually, Agoda refunded my money but could not find a replacement hotel at that night.
To my surprise, the receptionist then called me, i was sat in the lounge, saying they had a room for a week—but at three times the original price. Exhausted after my long journey, I reluctantly agreed for one night just to rest. I clearly stated and even used hand gestures to indicate I only wanted the room for one night. Despite this, they charged me for two nights or some deposit that they never returned. I only realized the overcharge later when I returned home from my holiday.
I emailed the hotel to address the issue and waited for three months without any reply. It’s ironic how responsive they were when I tried to cancel but completely ignored me afterward.
The room itself was terrible: extremely small with just a bed and bathroom. The towels were tissue paper, and there was no space for luggage—just enough room for a backpack. The price was outrageous, at $350 AUD per night (or $175AUD if you’re charged for two nights as I was). This might be acceptable for a backpacker, but it’s absolutely not worth the price.
Awful experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Be Careful

Don’t stay here. While it seems like a decent economical option, it’s just not worth it. They will charge you for every little thing, costing more than a normal hotel. We booked a twin room, but the beds were jammed together as a king bed, as the room was so small. The mattresses are NOT ‘five star’. It was the worst, most hard mattress I’ve ever stayed on in a hotel. The mattress alone made me consider finding somewhere else to stay. The toilet was in the bedroom, with no privacy. Towels are not included - they’re $50 extra per towel, but don’t worry!!! They’ll replace it after 3 days :) they also tried to charge us $80 to hold our bags for 1.5 hours?? We ended up demanding our key card back and not checking out for another 1.5 hours to hold our bags in the room for free instead. The service was appalling. They do not care at all about customer service, and blame their bad treatment on ‘company policy’.

SCAM - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! This hotel is an absolute scam! They demanded a whopping $500 deposit, sneaked a charge on our card without any warning, and conveniently let our room go when the payment didn't clear. Despite having a confirmed reservation for 7 weeks, they claimed to be fully booked upon our late-night arrival. No responses to emails, calls, or texts, and we had to fork out an extra £800 for another room elsewhere. Terrible communication, shady practices—steer clear of this place!

Horrendous place, the black mould on the roof was enough to put anyone over the edge! No bath towel however you can purchase one which was tiny, the woman told me it was disposable. What on earth? I asked to move rooms, 2 others I was shown were just as bad! Never again.

If you are coming during the daytime, then the airport express is fine. Otherwise it will cost you about 300 HKD by taxi. Yes, there are plenty of money exchangers. They offer a better rate than at the airport.
