I recently stayed at the Dorsett in Kwun Tong with my wife and kid and it was such a comfortable experience from the moment you walked into the modern lobby and are greeted by the welcoming staff (everyone from the concierge to the room service crew was so friendly).
The room was more spacious than expected, with plenty of space for three luggage bags and still room to walk around. There was a proper desk for us to sit at and plan our days (while catching up on the news through the large TV), and to store our daily knick knacks.
The bed and pillows were soft, and I'm not sure if this was intentional but it seemed we had options for harder or softer pillows depending on our preference. The bed linen was clean - something that should be expected but not always the case in some other places.
My kid enjoyed the bathtub and took a couple of bubble baths during our stay.
As per new Hong Kong regulations, they aren't allowed to provide single-serve plastics like bottled water or disposable toothbrushes and those tiny shampoo bottles, but they had refillable shampoo and soap dispensers and a convenient hot and cold filtered water dispenser near the elevators where we regularly topped up our own bottles.
Location-wise, Kwun Tong isn't the middle of the city but the Dorsett was a short walk from the MTR and thus it was easy enough to get to the various other places of interest in HK. This city's public transportation is so convenient anyway. We found many places to eat near the hotel, including local HK fare as well as other cuisines like Japanese and fusion restaurants. On the end of the street was a place serving local breakfast food (noodles, macaroni, etc) that we went to a couple of times for it's convenience and price. Just a block down was a supermarket where we could get snacks.
It must be added that we also felt quite safe to walk around that neighborhood at night with a young child. It wasn't super busy like Hong Kong central, but there was enough activity.
Would definitely stay here again!

The location is incredibly convenient, being close to the MTR and near a shopping mall, which makes travelling to other areas easy. The surrounding area is fantastic, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.
The lobby greets you with a pleasant scent, creating a welcoming atmosphere every time we step into the hotel. We also appreciated the free water dispenser in the corridor, which was a thoughtful touch.
The room was clean, the bed was perfect, and the amenities were excellent, all maintained at an impeccable level of cleanliness. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. During our long stay, the team consistently demonstrated politeness and professionalism in all areas, including the reception, concierge, and room service.
We were particularly impressed by Joy, a housekeeping staff member, who provided kind assistance and demonstrated expertise, making us feel truly at home.
It couldn’t have been more convenient. I loved my stay and highly recommend Dorsett Kwun Tong!

Location - walking distance to MTR, shopping mall. Camelpaint buildings and many other restaurants nearby too. You can also take the ferry from Kwun Tong Pier to North Point or Sai Wan Ho, check out the ferry schedule online. To walk to Kwun Tong Pier and the surrounding promenade area, you can cut through Manualife Financial Centre.
Room - size is decent for Hong Kong standard and price paid, sufficient space for us to open up 2 large luggages and a cabin size luggage. We were not assigned to the room facing the harbour but was on the quieter side so managed to have good rest.
Amenities - swimming pool is available but currently under renovation. Hotel provided water dispenser at every floor, do bring your own bottle.
Overall a good stay and recommended if you like to stay away from the usual areas. However, do note that area can be congested especially weekdays. We also notice that they host large tour group and it can take some time to check in, check out and boarding of lift too.

It is so hard to find a room for quarantine and I am so satisfy to stay in dorsett kwun tong. I have stayed in several quarantine hotels before, phone line always busy and need thousand of years for someone pick up. But dorsett staff can response so quickly and this amazed me a lot. They prepare a foodpanda menu with not much choice but the price can be covered by their membership coupon. Front Desk staff are helpful especially when they call up to my room telling me some guys are coming for my test, I can do some fresh up before someone knocking my door. Thanks to all, keep it up.

The hotel is quiet, bedding is firm, room is considered clean, but the interior design definitely needs improvement. For example, the bathroom doors when opened block access to the vanity sink and part of the shower entrance, AC outlet that's partially blocked by the refrigerator cabinet, shower that's in triangular shape. Also surprised no hand washing soap is provided. Hotel front desk said due to environmental reason, this is no longer provided! Shocking since proper hand washing is very important nowadays to prevent spread of infectious diseases like COVID and Flu. Hotel could have provided refillable soft soap dispenser. Thankfully there are supermarket nearby that I can purchase one myself!

Great staff:
1) I was greeted by name as I was approaching the reception counter at check-in.
2) Cleaners are always very helpful and pro-actively in providing clean lien and water.
3) Staff at the front desk are helpful in calling taxi, printing documents and storing luggage.
4) All the staff I met were very professional and polite.

The pictures do not show quote how dated the hotel is, rooms are in need of a refurb and the dining room is very old fashioned.
I had issues with the front desk prior to arrival - the policy on early arrivals is not great and so I booked the night before, which seemed to cause even more issues especially as they only take Amex for payment not guarantee! Crazy!
On checking in, I wanted to rest but on peeling back the covers, I discovered a foul creamy stain on the sheets and then another that looked like BBQ sauce! The phone didn’t work and so i prepared to go downstairs, thankfully the maid was in the corridor and quickly resolved it by changing the bed - but still EWWW!
Breakfast lacked an creativity but was edible.

Our 7-day hotel quarantine at the Dorsett Kwun Tong felt like a staycation or little holiday, thanks to all the staff at the hotel. They are professional and friendly. Most importantly, everyone knows exactly what they are doing. The whole quarantine operation there runs like clockwork, so organized and smooth. We loved our suite and the food. We requested meals without meat but fine with eggs, fish and seafood. The hotel went to the trouble of screening the daily meals, offering us the veggie meal if there's meat in the standard one, and the standard meal if there is no meat but fish or seafood. There were a few glitches when confirming our booking but agent Elaine Poon came to our rescue! As we will be flying again soon, we have already booked our stay at the Dorsett Kwun Tong.

This hotel did everything it said on the tin for quarantine. The room was nice, clean and new. Deliveries are allowed and delivered very efficiently. The customer service is absolutely exceptional with staff being super supportive and helpful. I would highly recommend the hotel and staff. Vincent Wong in particular was an absolute delight to deal with, responding to emails in a very timely manner and ensuring that everything was as it should be. Thank you Vincent and the team!
