The hotel is small, but clean and very good located. We had all we need for exploring the city. I do not think that rooms are too small and I liked that it has regular bathroom, not those toilets with shower that are often in HK. :-) The breakfast is Hong Kong style, so rice, boiled eggs, some vegetable, sausages... It is fine, but little bit repetative. The only think I didn´t like was the everyday control at breakfast, wether you have payed for breakfast. I understand that, but altought they must remember us at the end of the week (we stayed 7 nights and almost all other guests were from Asia), but they looked at us always like first day and almost without greeting wanted to see the room card. Overall it was a good stay and we would probably stay here again.
We booked the hotel about 5 months in advance. When we got to Hong Kong the tourist information at the airport informed us that it was closed down. We went there to check and it was true. No information about this in advance...
Stayed 3 nights in a room with no windows. Surprisingly depressing with no natural light, but that's to be expected I guess! Room itself was small and old but functional. Checked in with my 71 year old mother, and they advised the lift was broken. Both the male receptionist and bell hop stood there doing nothing until I got quite direct asking one of them repeatedly to carry mum's suitcase up to the third floor while I struggled with mine. I can't begin to describe how rude the man running breakfast was. He actually pushed mum out from in front of the coffee machine one morning. Breakfast itself was ok, toast, jam, 1 juice, boiled eggs, plain rice, plain spiral pasta, some odds and ends like potato salad, chicken sausages and coffee. Not great vego options but passable. The breakfast highlight was a Chinese guest who thought spitting on the restaurant floor next to our table was acceptable behaviour. Never seen anything like it! There is a computer and printer and washing machine available. Caught the A22 bus from the airport successfully but it's not clear where to get off so make sure you ask. Free WiFi on the bus. 5 minute walk if that to the hotel. Location is right in the middle of a thousand restaurants and McDonald's is a 1 min walk away. Only the location would get me back. …
Considering that Hong Kong is the most expensive city in the world, the Evergreen Hotel is a very good choice in Kowlonn / Jordan area. Room size is accetable for Hong Kong standards and the free breakfast is very welcome. On an upcoming trip to Hong Kong, this hotel will definitely be one of my first options.
The hotel is small, typical room in Hong Kong. the location is strategic near night market. I had bad experience with the reception, they cannot do multitask and efficient The breakfast is poor. not have many options there
