A very good hotel with great views. Reception very attentive and any requests dealt with immediately . Good gym and discus rooms. The bathrooms are a little tired and some of the furniture but this is very much reflected in the very reasonable price for this location. Easy to get taxis. Easy to walk too but on a steep hill so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Very nice people work there!

Hong Kong is small, so the hotel rooms are small and there are few hotels with bathtubs.
This hotel is close to Central and has a bathtub,
and the view from the room is not of a building but of the Zoo and Botanical Gardens or Hong Kong Park, so it was good.
Transport is not very convenient, but if you are used to buses and minibuses or can use a taxi, it's not a problem.
The service is average, about the same as a Japanese business hotel.
When I stayed multiple nights, they only changed the towels.
Water in the room was $12, and instant coffee and tea were free.
It was convenient that there was a supermarket nearby,

This was our third stay over several years. Very clean and apart from inevitable fire door slams was very quiet. Be aware that HK rooms are usually small, the beds hard and storage minimal. Garden View was a comfortable size and the bed topper did help somewhat. Storage is not adequate for long stays and most of the drawers were not even deep enough to hold a spectacle case. Good bathroom, with a bath and powerful shower. Plenty of very hot water. Usual toiletries. Hair drier adequate. Good size fridge. Kettle, mugs and small amount of tea, coffee, sugar and cream powder which gets replenished daily. No milk pots as in previous visits. Aircon good. NB the bed is no longer made daily. Two lifts very good. Housekeeping very prompt for the two minor issues we had. Iron and board on request. Staff very helpful and polite. Location; High up but with excellent 12a bus service nearby and constant stream of taxis all day. All HK transport is extremely cheap and efficient by UK standards. Well stocked supermarket just down the hill and the Zoological & Botanical Gardens are only across the road. TIPS: I took milk tubes (Amazon) teabags and coffee as is expensive in HK. GET AN OCTOPUS CARD at airport for loading in 7-11 shops which are everywhere. This is used for public transport and a lot of the shops.

It's also where YWCA centre located (lower floors). Neighbor quiet in Mid-Level district where rich people reside. It's next to Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Few public transport, only minibus no.1A to Central ifc mall or bus 12A to Admiralty via Central.

The reception is so kind to accede to my request for high floor good views although my room is only ordinary superior room at great price (less than HK$300). We stayed on 17-F overlooking the Gardens and also many luxurious residential flats or apartments, all characterized by rectangular and large balcony.

Room clean spacious tranquil everything functional except the hair dryer which is very noisy with bad smell emerged and we dared not use it at the end. Shower hot and strong. Bedding clean. But some towels can be more clean less smelly. Quite a choice of TV channels with Discovery, Animal Planet, BCC apart from local ones.

Lack of restaurants around as it's residential area. Only one canteen on G/F which only keep you survive type and another one on 6/F where I had breakfast and it's good. There's gym and swimming pool on 6/F but the pool is closed for maintenance.

Staff ok. The lobby has a musty smell and I got it once entering.

Overall it's a nice stay. Good value for money.

What happened to this hotel i used to stay here a lot maybe more than 200 days a year… they just renovated the lobby and changed the very jurassic era tv to low quality modern tv..and now they only change bed sheets 2 times a week… gross specially i like to eat in bed…
And most of morning and afternoon lobby staffs including the manager are not nice and unfriendly. Every time i i talked to them they’re giving me a bad attitude..wake up receptionists lol so i felt like my last stay was the biggest mistake and never come back again i wish they just treasure they’re guests…i dont want to say this because i always stay here but really change your manners try to be nicer….also the cleaning staffs before they are also nice but now ahe ahe only some and they are like road runners very quick as in very not so good cleaners now a days dusts everywhere…. Specially they have carpet all over the floor…

It is on a mid-level, away from the crowded hotels in the city. convenient downtown transit. pleasant and spotless service. Some accommodations don't offer free WiFi unless you pay for the service. There is a modest lobby with free internet. If you want to shop for breakfast, there is a mega market nearby. There is a little store in the structure next to the hotel that supplies necessities for everyday life.

Although there is no room as spacious as a mainland hotel, it is also worthwhile in Hong Kong, the interior design is reasonable, clean and equipped. Special emphasis is placed on free public service areas that provide value-added services. This stay gave me an unexpected experience, thanking all the staff of the hotel and Lawrence.
The hotel offers tea bags and coffee bags, as well as a grapeful coffee companion.
Facilities: The facilities are also well-equipped, but the rooms are smaller and can be understood in Hong Kong
Health: Health is very clean, no odor
Environment: Right at Mid Level
Service: Lawrence was warm!

We booked a room for 6 nights and we leave from the third night!

We left the hotel at 12:00 o’clock and we locked the door after that we came arround 14:00 o’clock and we get shocked when we saw our room’s door was open and the lock is out which any one can see the door is open.

When we got back we saw the towels are changed (renewed) so that means it’s from the hotel and they forgot the door open.

Simple, comfortable, clean and good hotel with a supermarket nearby, across the road from the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, and walking distance from the Peak Tram station. Yellow bus 12A comes from Admiralty Station (two stops) while Green mini bus 1A comes from Hong Kong Station (but you have to shout for the driver to stop to let you alight, quite an experience!). Hotel has a sufficient gym, and there are eating places within reach.

This hotel is part of the YMCA. We could smell the chlorine from the pool in the lobby. The front desk staff, Dereck, was very helpful and friendly. However, other male staff that worked the front desk on different shifts were not friendly at all.

Our room was ok with an average bed. The best thing in this room was the city view. We stayed two nights to take advantage of going on the trains to see the big Buddha and the Peak. Housekeeping service was minimal.

It’s on a hill so walking can be challenging. Taxis are available.

Has anyone stayed with a child? Travelling with a 1 year old
Answer from Mayo M

Not stayed with a child but the staff are very nice and there would not be a problem. But there are no play facilities at hotel. But it’s in a great location - the zoo logical gardens which has lots of animals in it is just yards away and is set up for children to enjoy.
