This hotel is near to Yau Ma Tei n Mongkok MTR stations. It’s a short journey via taxi (hence low taxi fare), although it’s possible to walk from the MTR stations to the hotel (but probably not for old folks). It’s very near to the Ladies Street, just 2 lanes away but no noise from there. Decent room size for 2 pax, except for the odd-shaped window area (triangular) which probably explains why a round table is used instead of a rectangular table. Probably the most complete toilet/bathroom facilities for a hotel. It has 3 chrome fixed hooks beside the shower door to hang clothing (very thoughtful) n won’t get wet. So far, the only hotel bathroom where shower water doesn’t flow onto the rest of the toilet room (well-designed).

The staff were very very helpful and accomodating. The room was also kept clean allthroughgout our stay. Our simple request were granted with no hesitations at all. We appreciate the hospitality.
Location is also top-notch given that you're basically walking distance from all the attractions in Mongkok. There are convenient stores and restaurants right below the hotel so you can have your mealtime at your convenience.

The experience was good from the start of our check in till check out. Staff was very friendly and room were clean with basic facilities that we need Hotel was convenient just a stone throw away from ladies market and many eateries. Enjoy the walk while walking to MTR. Sunny was really helpful at front desk even suggested to help us call a taxi to go airport and assure us the price is still the same . Everyday when we go out , housekeeping will clean our room and replenish all the things used. Very nicely and warmly done. Thanks again for the great experience we will definitely make a come back

The staff are friendly. The room is being cleaned daily (trash will only be taken out daily if you instruct). Wifi in the room is fast—no wifi in the cafe. Breakfast is good but my only feedback is that it is not changing daily so for 5 days we always have the same breakfast. The location of the hotel is near the stores, and restaurants but a bit far from the MTR and Buses.

I booked the hotel's early discount 2 months in advance for tomb-sweeping returning HK at the risk of not being able to cancel or refund. Later out that I could have booked the same rooms one day prior to arriving HK at nearly 50% of the price I paid. I was really upset by hotel's lie that booking early would save money. It is recommended that the hotel management face up to the problem, protect the interests of the guests.

The hotel offers prime location in the heart of Mongkok with reasonable price with/without buffet breakfast. We stayed there for 4 nights along with an infant. The hotel staff is very forthcoming in helping the customer and is fluent in english. They were happy to upgrade our room to King bed. The room size may feel small at times but it is appropriate for a couple. Our room offered stunning view of the city. The upkeep of the hotel rooms is good.

We arrived at The Stanford early in the morning after making last minute travel changes to avoid bad weather. The Manager was very helpful by combining our additional night's stay with our original booking, setting up temporary WiFi access, bringing forward our check-in time by several hours, storing our luggage and advising of what to do and where to go in the meantime. The room was superb, spacious, comfortable and clean, it was a delight after our long journey. We met the manager in the lift the following morning, where he immediately recognised us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction and gave additional information regarding where to visit in Hong Kong. Another receptionist, Barry, was also very helpful during our stay, advising on the best way to extend our room booking before leaving late at night. He also gave invaluable information regarding travelling to the Airport using our Octopus card. A top rating for the staff then, but the reason for marking the overall rating down by one star was breakfast. The service clearly suffered from a lack of waiters, as food at the buffet was not regularly replenished and tables took a while to be cleared. This wouldn't stop us from staying at The Stanford again as overall it was a lovely hotel in a great location well served by public transport. It was also within easy walking distance of The Bird and Flower markets. Check it out!

Approximately 12-minute walk from Mong Kok East and Yau Ma Tei MTR Stations and is close to bus stops along Nathan Road.
Mr. Simon Lo, the hotel’s Room Division Manager, was so welcoming and accommodating. He made sure that he would provide us with the best room during our stay in the hotel. Without his help and generosity, we weren’t able to accomplish our important errand in Hong Kong. He wholeheartedly spared us his time just to attend to our needs, which is why we are so grateful for his impressive effort and kind heart.
The room was huge and spacious, with an idyllic city view. A key card is needed for you to access any of the floors of the hotel. The hotel has a luggage station, where you can leave your luggage if early checkin is not possible. The room is equipped with basic and useful amenities. The toilet is roomy and well-lit, with comforting rain shower head. Towels are changed daily, and rooms are cleaned every day too. The hotel’s breakfast was sumptuous. There’s ample of variety of food and drinks to choose from: meat, congee, bread, spreads, yoghurt, noodles, fruits, salad, cereals, hash browns, steamed potato or corn, coffee and juice.
Nevertheless, the Wi-Fi signal in our room was quite weak.
No doubt, Stanford Hotel is such an ideal place to stay in Hong Kong.
Will definitely miss how hospitable Mr. Simon and his team is. Looking forward to staying at this hotel again.
