Close proximity to the convention centre is the only plus. Tsim tsa tsui is a better bet as far as location is concerned for a more interesting hong kong experience. Harbourview feels like its in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are okay..reception and concierge helpful. An oldish lady helping out at breakfast looked annoyed all the three days I was... More

Best start to our Hong Kong trip. We flew from Bali to Hong Kong for couple days. We arrived at the airport early in the morning at 6am and like any hotel 2pm is checkin time. We got to our hotel and Friendly agent David greeted us with nice smile. My fiancé told David were early and he was kindly... More

I spent 2 nights at this hotel. It was OK. However, despite the name - HARBOURVIEW - my room had a lovely view of a huge concrete wall. I could barely even see the sky! On the second night, there was a lot of noise coming from the service entrance at the rear of the hotel, so loud I had... More

Smaller than some Hong Kong hotels and all the better for it. No long corridors. Views across Victoria harbour are spendid, especially on the night of a ferocious electrical storm that went on with a maginficent lightening display for hours. Staff make everyone feel honoured. No particular facilities like swimming pools or spa. But a pleasure to stay there and... More

Normal size room, but voor HK meanings big. Pro's: matras (hard, but good), bath room (small, but has everything you need) and size (more than enough). Cons: view (it's called the Harbourview, but I could not see any harbour. See photos). Recommendation: There is a shuttle service to the airport for 150 Hkd.

I stayed here for a stopover in Hong Kong and it was fantastic, check in was easy and my room upgraded to an amazing view over the harbour for the light show. Bed was comfortable and room was clean, no iron in the room but it wasn't a major issue. The MTR is a few blocks away so it's easier... More

The hotel was in a decent location and the room was nice. The facilities seemed to be in good order and we did have breakfast one day. The breakfast was not really worth it for the price. We stayed 4 nights to attend a seminar in Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre - which was just 5 mins walk from the hotel. It was our first time stay in a hotel in Hong Kong Island. Very well located. You can walk to tons of very good restaurants and bars, and it's near to a subway. Clean and comfortable. Only problem is that the rooms are tiny, but this being HK I guess it's expected. Overall we had a great stay and the beds are super comfy.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
