Was booked into here, for 1 night only, prior to joining a cruiseship at the Kai Tak terminal, in Hong Kong.

Large, very busy hotel, with its own private vehicle lay-by, at the main entrance. Arrived in morning after a 12 hour, overnight flight. Rooms unavailable until perhaps 2pm, so luggage left with concierge, and having some 4 hours to explore, in a somewhat tired physical state.

Anyway, after taking up the lunch buffet ( comprehensive and mid-range in price), room was finally available.

Clean and spacious, I was on an upper floor, with a dizzying view down to street level. Carpet with a seeming old pattern, but nothing else untoward.

The star features were the shower-head, with holes so fine I couldn't actually see any, and the soap provided.

Also, the complimentary slippers were sufficiently robust that I saw at least 2 other pairs being used on the outside Waterloo Road !

Well situated for buses, and a short walk from 2 of the Mass Transit Railway Stations.

Also convenient for obtaining local currency at a (well known) bank branch, at the end of the same block, in Waterloo Road.

Will certainly stay at this affordable hotel, if visiting Hong Kong again.

The hotel is well located with easy access to buses and a regular free shuttle bus to the nearest metro station. First impressions were that the public areas were quite dated but we were pleasantly surprised by the room which was spacious, well appointed and appeared more modern.
We arrived early morning off a long overnight flight and were told we could not check in until 3pm. They offered to store our bags but there were no facilities offered to get changed and freshen up other than public toilets which wasn't ideal.
The entrance is on the ground level with the lobby, restaurant and check in one floor above. If there are stairs we did not find them in our 3 night stay which meant the lifts were chaotic as many people were using them for this one floor journey to get in and out of the hotel as well as access all the other floors.
Breakfast had options to suit different nationalities and dietary requirements but was a bit limited. We ate a meal in the restaurant which was tasty and lots of people seemed to enjoy a good value fixed price evening buffet but we did not go for this option.
We were disappointed that the bar mentioned on the website is no longer open and that no water is available in the rooms. The vending machine in the lobby with water does not take any western credit cards offering only local payment options so we found the nearest 7- 11 a few doors down and stocked up for a fraction of the price.
Overall we didn't feel this hotel offered a 4 star experience but we enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money in a convenient part of town.

This hotel is well located for visiting Hong Kong but not paying the room rates for Causeway Bay and other Hong Kong Island hotels. It is walking distance to the Women's Market and also Temple Street Night Market and even to Tsim Sha Tsui locations. An Uber from the Peak on Hong Kong Island to the hotel at early evening was $191 HKD = $24 USD.
The staff were very helpful to us, printing a visa document we needed and making phone calls for us about our missing luggage that the airline misplaced. The luggage team were there for us too - taking the luggage delivery from the airline while we toured and also storing it for us a few hours after checkout.

We stayed at The Metropark Hotel, Waterloo Road which was booked for us through a cruise & stay pckage, having read reviews it looked like this hotel had good ratings, this is because people are mistakenky reviewing the other Hong Kong Metropark hotels on this site.
We would definitely not recommend this hotel, the room was outdated, peeling wallpaper, bathroom needed a deep clean, housekeeping will not enter your room to clean, instead you need to ask for bins to be emptied, clean towels etc. Dehumidifiers are in all corridors & rooms as it appears they have problems with dampness & musty smells, you are even told to keep the air con on to avoid it getting musty, this results in the room being extremely cold all the time. I would find somewhere else to stay, there are plenty of hotels in the area that are far better.

We stayed at this hotel after a cruise.

When we arrived we were told to go to the 1st floor with all of our bags to check in, we used the lift to get there but once we got there we were told to go back down to the ground floor with our bags and leave them there and come back at 15.00 to check in.

When we got to our room we were very disappointed. We were there for 2 nights and found that there would be no service in our room during our stay.

We were left 2 tea bags, 2 sachets of coffee and sugar and creamer. When we asked at the front desk for more we were told that we would need to buy this from the shop across the road.

The floor in the room was very lumpy, like the concrete had started to disintegrate, it was covered in a very marked and dirty carpet.

The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned and there was black mould in the runners. We felt like we had to clean this before we could use it.

The furniture looked like it was very old, it was all marked and scuffed.

The mattress topper was very lumpy and didn’t stay on the bed.

When we tried to speak to someone at the front desk they made out that they couldn’t understand what we were saying, which was very different from when we checked in.

This hotel isn’t very centrally located, for this reason they had a shuttled bus which ran to the nearest MTR (train) station every 30 minutes.

We were very disappointed in our stay there and unfortunately we don’t feel like we could recommend this hotel.

The hotel was booked by our travel agent and we were advised that it was a 4 star hotel, in our opinion this is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

We booked a suite for our quarantine back in the early August 2022 and we did not have high expectations regarding cleanliness or the food. We landed in the morning and arrived at the check in desk in the hotel later just after 12pm. We had to queue up for awhile due to the person in front of us who asked one question after another.

We finally went up to our 19th floor room, in the corner which was a bonus as it was a little bit quieter and further away from the lifts. We were surprised by the size of the suite room and pleased with the arrangement of the beds for the 3 of us.
One roll-away bed was placed in the lounge which was a great privacy for my daughter and she also had the chance to watch her own tv series. Overall, the room worked very well for us eventhough we had to do some general cleaning at first.

There was plenty of space to store and to dry our laundy with the laundy rack provided.

They provided food that were not suitable for us so we ordered from outside and arrived at our door within 10mins every time. So, we were so pleased about this.

We were also very happy when we got refunded for shortened quarantine stay. We received it 2 days after checked out and there was no extra fees.

Overall, we were very happy with their service and fast check out. Thank you Metropark!

I was quarantined in the MetroPark hotel, Kowloon, Hong Kong from July 13 - July 27. To my utmost disgust and horror, although I paid hkd 880 per night, I was given a deluxe room which was full of dust and mold. I called up the receptionists to mention to them, they just sent me some sanitising Kleenex to ask me to clean the room by myself.

1)The furniture are very old and used, as well as tattered. The carpet design is very frightening. It is literally zebra patterns. In addition, the curtains are awfully stained and the bed skirt has a rather big patch of stain.

2) The curtains were full of dust. When I drew the curtains everyday, I could see the dust flying in the air. I had to use my facial mask when drawing the curtains every morning and night.

3) The hangers were full of dust. and the closet door was covered with dust as well as mold. The wooden panels have a thick layer of dust which made me feel very uncomfortable.

4) The light shade in the ceiling of the bathroom was stuck with mold and dust. Every morning and evening when I guggled my mouth, again I threw up because I looked up to the ceiling and the light shade was right on top of me.

5) The food was mediocre... the blanched veggie was not fresh and couldn't be eaten...菜渣。and for the fourteen days I was eating alternately 残 旧小 白 菜 and `菜心 until these last two nights I had to request for different types of veggie.

For my two weeks that I cooped up in the hotel, my physical and mental health were really badly affected. During my stay, I did write in to the hotel to make my complaint and ask them how could they let me stay in such an unhealthy and unclean room whereby I had been inhaling dust all the time and there was no breather. The duty manager who read my complaint just said sorry and brushed me off to say they couldn't help me further.

Having previously stayed in this hotel several times a year from birth to 2017, my first visit in 2024 after COVID made me realise the place really isn't the same anymore.

Checkin:
When I was checking in at 2am, I was hurriedly chased to enter my pin code - despite asking the staff member (Gene Fang) to calm down and that I needed a few minutes to transfer the correct funds to the correct card.

It was a far cry from the previous relaxing experiences I've had getting checked in on the 17th floor.

Reception:
I also received a hold charge prior to my stay, which following an email it was confirmed to me that this amount would be deducted from the total booking fee. When this did not happen when I checked in, I had to waste time to confirm with the reception staff myself. They did not seem helpful and made me seem like I was dumb.

Moreover, when requesting late checkout and asking if I could get for cheaper due to being a gold rewards member , I was told no. After pressing the issue the staff member called her manager and said the customer is being annoying. Only then I got a cheaper price - following an insult.

Concierge:
No one says hello or smiles! Gone are the days where they wore suits and had bell boys! No service with a smile anymore.

Lifts:
Shame that the escalators are not running from G to the Lobby on floor 1 too, which creates significant traffic for the four lifts which do require some maintenance.

All in all, it was nostalgic to return but the hotel is a shadow of itself. No shuttle to TST, no SipSipBar, no club floor and no proactive staff.

This hotel is good value as it is pretty cheap plus it has a gym and pool which have just been refurbished. We found it clean, the room size was good for a city and the location is fine as quite close to a metro station. Breakfast was decent for what we paid and given we prefer western style which they catered for well. The hotel is badly in need of updating. It is dark and old fashioned and despite proclaiming to be a no smoking zone the corridors smell of smoke. There were portable air con units in the corridors and room, which already had built in air con, not sure if this is a covid or damp thing but you did need them, however they were too bright and noisy to leave on at night. It served its purposes for us as a sightseeing base but I wouldn't stay there again unless I was on a really tight budget - it came as part of a package for us rather than us picking it!

Hotel was clearly quite old but generally still quite clean. Room amenities like slippers and soap are ok. Location is a bit far out (walk to nearest mtr mongkok east is about 10 mins, would take about 15 to 20 mins walk to get to mongkok) .There's a shuttle bus to mongkok every hour and if you time your trip well, saves you walking time. Didn't get to see/use the pool and gym, their operating hours are 8 to 6 which are usually the time that people will be out lol. But that being said, for the rates paid, still quite decent overall

About half hour from the airport if there is no traffic. And this is a good hotel for that as the prices are fair and there is a shuttle that takes you from the harbor and back to the hotel.
