Detailed Reviews

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel Kowloon and was disappointed by the overall state of the property. The furniture was noticeably worn, the curtains were dirty, and there was debris coming out of the bathroom ceiling (really gross). The bathtub was peeling, the toilet seat had issues, and the hand soap felt watered down (I had to use the body wash to wash my hands).
The wifi was so slow I couldn’t even check my email, and the walls were so thin that I could hear both my neighbors and people in the hall at all hours. Additionally, the towel holder kept falling off, and the shower head holder wouldn’t stay in place, making for a frustrating experience.
On the bright side, the housekeeping staff was kind and attentive, which was the one redeeming aspect of my stay. However, given the numerous issues, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless significant updates are made.

I stayed in this hotel last month for a night. I have booked the hotel through trip.com and i found the location very good as good connectivity for bus and metro. its near to market and indian restaurants.
i have been given a room at first floor and the room was good in size but when i checked in i found that the air conditioning not working properly i informed the housekeeping people they sent someone he checked and said it will be cool in some time. I went outside and came around 11.30 pm the room was not cool and the ac was not working again i complained they sent someone and he said its ok its very hot otherwise. I asked them its midnight what you want me to wait whole night i need to go early morning and i need to rest. i requested them to allot other room and the front desk boy agreed and said he will inform me.
in few minutes i got a call from a girl and she said they dont have any other room and they can give me a fan in room as a favour to me i denied and asked for other room which they allotted on other floor and when i went there i found that room to be like a store room so so small that i need to put my luggage on bed. the wash basin is inside room no charging point nothing in the room but as it was post midnight i have to sleep in that room.
they dont provide any bell boy u need to take your luggage to other room also . they shout on guest and dont even provide even water in room and the reason is covid but its over still they using same things. i felt i wasted my money to stay there.
pathetic hotel service i wont ever stay there.

We always stay in a Best Western Hotel when we travel but this one was a huge disappointment! The exterior of the hotel and the lobby do not match with the interior of the rooms. Room is very old, not tastefully decorated and the bathroom had mold on the floor and against the bathroom door. The bathroom also had a strong mold smell. Our room was cleaned but dirty coffee mugs was not replaced with clean ones, and we had to ask for a plug for the bathtub. Some of the staff at reception was very unfriendly and not helpful at all (please note that this was not the case with all the reception staff).

The hotel’s lobby is shabby. The furniture is old the cushions look like they have not been cleaned and the smell of cigarettes longer strongly through our entire lobby
For the room, the bathroom are old, the bathtub floor is peeling. The basic necessities such as soap and shampoo are in small quantities, only good for one guest and for one usage. We paid for two guests
The electricity outlets are at the bottom of the panels and very difficult to reach. The shower is difficult to turn on and off.
The door lock wasn't working and it took several efforts for it to work. It is the result of a combination of the door itself malfunctioning and the desk receptionist didn't key in the correct room number
The breakfast buffet was tasteless.
We had terrible experience s

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Kowloon, Hong Kong, and unfortunately, the experience fell below expectations. The biggest issue was the lack of hot water, which persisted even after the manager kindly offered a new room—only to find that it, too, had no hot water. This made the stay quite uncomfortable.
Additionally, the noise by the neighbours in the corridor was disruptive, and it was clear the property is in urgent need of refurbishment. On a positive note, the manager made an effort to address the issues, which I appreciated, but overall, the state of the facilities needs significant improvement to meet basic standards.
I cancelled my return stay a week after
I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and invests in much-needed upgrades, as the hotel has potential with its central location.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel and would strongly advise against staying here. They fail to provide even the most basic services, such as toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, etc.). However, the biggest issue is that they don’t even provide water in the rooms. Their excuse? A supposed “new Hong Kong regulation.” Having traveled extensively, I understand the push to reduce plastic waste, which is why many hotels have switched to glass bottles and eco-friendly toiletries. But this hotel doesn’t provide glass water bottles either, leaving guests to go down every time they need water—completely unacceptable.
On top of that, the cleanliness was terrible. The room was small, which is understandable, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of hygiene. The washroom was untidy, the fittings were unclean, and the towels seemed used. A hotel should at least maintain basic cleanliness and amenities, but this place failed on both counts.
I would strongly not recommend staying here. There are plenty of better options where guest comfort is actually a priority.

Terrific location! Located very centrally with so many shops around. Walkable to Avenue of Starts and K21. A very lively but not overwhelming area. Easy to catch cabs and take the public transport (about 5min walk or so) Rooms were comfortable and spacious for the price paid. We even had space to keep our luggages open! We were here to celebrate NYE, and it was within walking distance towards the fireworks spots!

It's definitely too expensive for what it offers, but it's a general Hong Kong problem. He still doesn't deserve all the bad reviews he gets. The room has a decent size and a bathroom with shower separated from the toilet, which is rare in Hong Kong. The reception is h24 and the room is cleaned daily. There is also free tea and coffee. Definitely needs maintenance but it was still a good stay

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to file a complaint against Best Western Hotel Kowloon.
Sept 20, 2024 at around 2:30AM, I had unknowingly stepped on a hypodermic needle (the one used for insulin pens) that was found in the carpet in my room.
I had called hotel management and they sent in a couple of personnel who administered first aid. However, as I still fear the possible blood-borne diseases one can get from used needles, I had asked the on-shift manager "Candy" for Best Western to cover my medical bills (consultations, lab tests, etc) since this happened in their property. Candy refused and took the needle.
I am complaining about the following items:
1. The lack of regard from the on-shift manager which adds to my stress
2. The negligence of the staff for missing the needle in the carpet which may possibly contain blood-borne diseases
3. The overall lack of regard to my safety and well-being as their guest.
4. The mental stress this incident caused me which is physically showing as hives (my body's allergic response to stress)
I am looking forward to your response. I am expecting proper compensation from this incident and not brushed off.

HK$500 deposit is required if you have any incidental charge.
There is an airport shuttle bus where you would need to book in advance. The last booking is by 21:00 the night before your departure to the airport. It costs 140 HKD. If not, you can take the MTR from TST to Central. You can then walk from Central MTR stop to Hong Kong MTR stop to catch the airport express. The airport express is just a little over 100 HKD and the two stop MTR ride is also really cheap. You can save a bit more that way if you do not have a lot of luggage.
It s very clean. The room was small but I have a little room in front of it with sofa, chairs etc. The location of the hotel was excellent and the staff more than friendly
If you want take the shuttle bus, you can contact Vigor counter in airport arrival hall and charge $140 per person. It need around 1 hour and 15 minutes from airport to hotel.
