Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I have stayed many times in Hong Kong, and many times in Wan Chai and I think this is the most comfortable and conveniently located hotel I have stayed in in Wan Chai. It is close to some good lively bars, plenty of food options (try Chili Club it's great), convenience stores, coffee shops, the Wan Chai MTR is a few minutes walk away, as is the Airport Bus (A11), Wan Chai Ferry is a 12 minute walk, as is the Hong Kong Convention Center. My 25th Floor room (#2510) was clean, fresh, comfortable and large. It also had a cool view - See photos. All the front desk staff were nice and friendly and there are big umbrella's to borrow should you visit when rainy. I would certainly stay here again without question. I paid an average of GBÂŁ102 per night for a 3 night stay (room only) booking in advance via Expedia.

I doubt there can be many people who have spent as long as I have in this hotel - easily over 1000 days over an 18 year period.
Hard to know where to start, but I guess the consistently excellent service has to be top of the list. From concierge staff, where one of the team remembers me from my first visit, through to check in, restaurant, and room servicing, I can't remember a single weak link or negative experience in all this time.
The rooms are well appointed, with excellent bathroom amenities. The linen and towels are always soft and clean. The bed mattress is of excellent quality ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. Notwithstanding sometimes raucous nightlife nearby, very good noise insulation ensures peace and quiet in the room. Storage space is capacious for the room size, chairs are comfortable, and the picture windows, especially on the mountain side of the hotel, bring in plenty of light. Servicing of the rooms by tireless staff is top quality.
I enjoy the Western restaurant, a very suitable and convenient place to entertain friends and colleagues, and look forward to its newly revamped opening in mid September.
The centrality of the hotel cannot be overestimated - so convenient, with Wanchai MTR a minute away and buses to everywhere!
I have had the good fortune to stay in many of Hong Kong's top hotels over the years from Mandarin, to the old RItz Carlton, Hilton, Excelsior, Marco Polo Hong Kong and Intercontinental. Service here is right up there!

Mark Ma of their Concierge Service is so helpful and provided seamless arrival service with wheelchair for mobility guest. Their handicap room is so modern and top of the range. Highly recommended. The entire feeling is like going home amongst friendly and helpful family. Never felt that in any other hotel. Must come and experience.

Generally it wasn't a bad stay considering that I was mainly away during the day. The general manager was kind to assist me with extra purifying mobil condition which is sadly has to be used due to lack of fresh air and never opened windows. It's a big trouble for those who could get used for fresh natural air and live in a different surroundings. Besides, breakfast buffet could offer anything for lactose intolerant people or vegetarian (pescatarian for instance). Since I'm not a person who likes to have a big breakfast, I was surprised to learn that there is a great brunch right after breakfast (can't say if it's every day or only during Easter) but no one from reception staff has informed about this option. In addition, I very surprised that to have few gram honey or green simple tea bag which I had in the room, one has to pay extra during breakfast buffet. This attitude I never experienced before in any hotels worldwide! Plus some reception staff weren't able to talk English properly which made it more complicated for understanding and service.

Hotel is in a good location. We fancied being this side of the river. the service and room was fine; view wasn’t as impressive as expected. We asked on departure if there was a place to shower before our 14 hour flight home (we had already checked out earlier in the day) and we were essentially laughed at.

A good place to stay on NYE as Hotel is located at a quiet corner of the street but easily travel to Lan Kwai Fong even by tram, an inexpensive but rewarding transportation tool; sit on the upper deck and enjoy the night scenes around and alongside. Their renowned Chinese restaurant would definitely gave you surprise for lunch or dinner. Our rooms were neat and comfort, with high quality bathroom consumables. Last but not least, the packages offered were exceptional and reasonable.

We were so excited for the NYE trip from the beginning. However, it turns out a disastrous experience with the terrible service of the front desk especially the one with the bald haircut, and I reckoned that he is Mr. TONY. We found that he is absolutely a liar after we tried our luck with another friendly staff who tried his best to fit our needs. We were looking for better view for the celebration, then Mr. Tony misled us by saying that all celebration/countdown events in HK were cancelled without providing any sufficient reasons. Surprisingly, the room provided by the friendly staff can see the fireworks clearly without any obstacles. It's okay by telling us the room is not available due to "full house" , but giving false information is unacceptable.
Still, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and the ambiance of the room which is more than our expectation. The only imperfection is that the a/c is cold as a freezer.

Gloucester Luk Kwok is a lovely hotel. Whilst the decor is a little tired I had a great time during my three-night stay. The bath is a little shallow and there is a lack of power sockets next to the bed but those details didn’t really detract from the time there.
The price, considering the hotel’s location on the Island (and only a short walk around the corner to the nearest MTR) was really good. I had requested a high room and was given a room on the top floor. The view from the room isn’t amazing but if you crane your neck you can see the IFC.
During my stay I had an accident and fractured my foot nearby. The staff were fantastic at helping me get a taxi to the hospital and gave me all sorts of useful information. It was really appreciated at a time of pain and stress.

A very good option if you are attending a conference in Wanchai. The Exhibition Center is less than ten minute walk and the Luk Kwok is right in the middle of Wanchai, with great restaurant and bar options. The gym is very basic though, with only a few cardio options, no weights. Breakfast is usually included and the buffet is really good, everything you want is available, even an omelette station.

No connecting rooms. I also asked for this. Have to make do with adjacent or opposite. Not sure about cribs. Do ask the hotel. There is enough space in the room.
