We loved our 5 night stay at the modern and contemporary Cordis hotel located in the heart of Hong Kong's Mongkok district. It opened in 2004 and is smack-dab in the middle of the action (ie, eating and shopping) on the Kowloon peninsula. If you've never heard of the Mongkok district, it was rated by the Guinness Book of World Records as the busiest district in the entire world with a population density of 340,000 people/square mile! When I first saw the skyscraper hotel here, my mind was thinking of what an engineering marvel it would have been to witness the construction of this hotel and the interconnected and large Langham Place shopping complex in super-busy and super-congested Mongkok!

Anyway, as far as the accommodations and service, it was first class and great. We paid $220 USD all-in per night (which included breakfast which was great and which I have already reviewed separately) but this place can easily go for $400 USD per night depending on time of year and what's happening in Hong Kong. We got a quick taste of their nice service upon check-in as you do so with a cold and refreshing towel handed to you and that was a first for us, and that touch can be very handy in Hong Kong's climate. Our standard room was on the 30th floor and we enjoyed a quite scenic view of Kowloon. The room was not particularly spacious but it was adequate and is typical unless you want to pay up. The bathroom is uniquely separated from the bed area by a clear glass wall with a window shade used for privacy, if desired lol. The beds and pillows were comfortable and very nice. There are unique, artsy, and entertaining sculptures located throughout the hotel. The elevators were super-fast and smooth. The customer service was excellent. We had a modest bathroom cleanliness complaint on the first night. I brought it to the attention of the lady hotel manager who was very empathetic and later had it addressed. The next thing, we surprisingly find a delightful and delicious fresh fruit tray in our room for each of our remaining 4 nights, and I confirmed with the staff that it was basically a hotel token of apology. Wow.

Besides the accommodations and service, one big plus of the hotel is that it is directly connected to the newish and large Langham Place shopping complex across Shanghai St. There are tons of both classy and casual shops and eateries there, and the Mongkok MTR station is also co-located in the basement level of the complex. So if you use the MTR from anywhere in Hong Kong, you can be back to your hotel room without ever stepping outside. The other big plus for the Cordis is you are just steps away from all the markets, eateries, main artery Nathan Road shops and restaurants, and people watching in Mongkok. Overall, we had a great stay, and we would not hesitate to stay again at the Cordis!

The family triple room has a floor height of 3 meters. After laying out the three luggages that must be checked, there is still enough space for walking and moving, and it is not cramped. The bedding is of good quality and it is extremely comfortable to lie on. The bathroom is spacious and pays attention to details. Although it has been raining for the past few days and the humidity is 90% on the day of check-in, there is no fog after taking a shower. The toiletries are very thoughtful, there is a hairband in the shower cap box, and the toothbrush bag and bathrobe for children have cute animal patterns, which is pleasing. The doors of the wardrobe and bathroom are very heavy sliding doors, which slide silently. The initial directory of the TV is in pure English.
Mong Kok MTR C3 Exit goes directly to the basement of Langham Place. The escalator goes up to the 4th floor dining floor above the ground. There is a corridor directly to the hotel lobby, and there is no need to get wet in the rain. However, the lights in Langham Place are turned off at 11 pm, and it is estimated that the elevator has also lost power. If you come from the subway, you have to walk on the street. You don’t need to swipe the card to go to the fourth floor of the elevator, but you need to swipe the room card to go up to the guest room.
I checked in around 18:00 on Friday, and there were 6 or 7 people in line. I went in and out several times at night, and there were also queues. The front desk was very good. Mr. Ernest (希朗) was very patient and considerate and suggested several flexible check-in options for me. We communicated in Mandarin throughout the whole process, and the experience was particularly good. Check-out was fast. If there was a queue, someone would come and take the room card immediately.
In short, thank you Cordis and Mr. Ernest for giving me a very good experience on this trip.

Thank you Yun Tun Noodles for sending pure juice ~ great attitude ~ Francis+Henry+Sam+Jaume👍
Breakfast~ Xu Du’s director Li Xian heard that the baby was sleeping in the room, gave me milk and toast, and took it back to the room for the baby to eat when he wakes up~ It’s so thoughtful👍
The omelette lady is really good👍The omelette + ingredients are super delicious, and the overall quality is very good. The only drawback is that we live in two rooms on two floors, and the baby has to walk a long way to find his sister🤣
I checked in on Friday and the cleaning staff were more attentive on Saturday. They put small towels in places where I would get wet (the sink at the bar and the bottle table will be sprayed wet after washing, and towels were laid out. 👍👍So considerate~ Every staff member is polite~ When you enter the hotel, you will smell the faint fragrance of sandalwood and the quilt, and you will feel very relaxed~

Staff at Cordis were helpful and welcoming in making my stay in Hong Kong a pleasant and memorable one. Guest room was very well kept and hygiene was top notch. Above all, room was well ventilated and toiletries (shower gel and hand washer) were good for my sensitive skin. The location of the hotel is ideal as finding places to shop and dine are extremely easy.

Been to HK a lot of times, so choosing Mong Kok area hotel is mainly for its convivence. Besides, I have stay at Cordis before about 8 years ago. In general, not much has changed, but some of the offering still have room for improvement

Location : Without a doubt, this is one of the key "selling point" of the hotel. MTR is below Langham place and linked with a bridge toward the hotel . The MTR is serve 2 important line which serve to Central, Tsuen Wan or Kowloon bay area . As a "old timer"like me . I would even take the mini bus which ply to more remote area of HK . Given it in Mong Kok, food is not a problem, be it Starbucks, McDonald , local fast food joint or HK local cruises are just within 10 mins walk from hotel, not to mention 7-11,which there is a 2 within 5 mins walking distance. Mong Kok is the area to have the feel of Hong Kong .
Hotel room : From some comments feedback , I have booked a deluxe plus room , which is location on the 33rd floor, so I got a good view of Mong Kok, the room is that bright at night given the light used and also the furniture of a darker tone. As it at the high floor, ray of sun brighten the room in the day , however, its also making the room a bit warm( even in Autumn) , so need to lower the temperature to be 22 degree to cool off first . Toilet basic amenities is there, just that there sink and shower area show sign of aging . I also note that there are air dehumidifier along the corridor , guess of the dampness due to the interior design. Also note that someone is smoking at my last day of stay( which there is no smell during my 1st three days of my stay )

Service : Welcoming staff during the check in but not check out .The tone of the customer service ( when call "0" for service )also feel cold. Housekepping is good. just that they start to do the housekeeping early, they knock at my door at 9am , so remember to put up the "do not disturb" if required

In general, I would return again if the price point is right

Magnificent hotel in the heart of Hong Kong! Beds are firm and very comfortable and 4 fluffy pillows made a great sleep. We had the club status which has free snacks and drinks at certain hours which we only did used it for Tea Time but it was a nice touch with great views and it was included in the price per night($140) Buffet Breakfast was top notch and Vinod made the best coffee in the morning, the breakfast buffet was 1st class and everything served was over the top with great service clearing plates non-stop. Hotel is connected to the mall and that too had some great food with a grocery store on the bottom level on the way to the Metro Station, no need to go outside to cross the street just take the connector to the mall and down the escalators. shower had awesome water pressure with all the soaps and conditioners and there was also a seperate tub. Not enough plugs to plug in your electronics so bring a cord or just be happy with 2-3 plugs they have. Overall excellent location comfortable clean modern hotel.

This is a hotel that is well-known and recommended by many and should I come to Hong Kong again, this would be my main choice. The location, being well connected to the mall and MTR station, is a main draw. The staff is also excellent, even to the extent of bringing complimentary water (drinks) to all guests who use the roof-top heated pool. The gym is fabulous and the views unmatched. However, there are areas for improvement. The standard room provides for standing shower in a bath tub and that is rather inconvenient. The liquid soap dispenser also has a short press displacement and dispenses very little with every press. The room is also rather dim after every light (including the manually controlled reading lights at the bed, and the lamp at the desk) is turned on. However, the plus points include an effective air-con system that provides for temperature as set, huge thick comfortable towel that works very well, numerous TV channels including 6 to 7 channels dedicated to the English Premier League football, provided through entertaining Cantonese commentary. However, the remote control does not come with numbers and you have to use the arrows to press 31 times (or less backwards) to the Premier League channels (31 to 36), or 18 times to Sky News. Two suggestions perhaps, (1) remove the hip introductory music when the TV is turned on, after staying 6 days, it gets irritating, music accompanying the default channel is not necessary, (2) review the complimentary drinking water in that glass bottle whose cap-removing is a daily dangerous process. Twice I pulled out the ear-hole with finger but the bottlecap stayed in the bottle (because the connection between that ear-hole and the bottlecap is weak). Once I cut my finger (because the edges are sharp after your removed the bottlecap). But every time, my finger is painful because pressure is force divide by area and the small area of contact between metallic ear-hole and finger provides for high painful pressure. Still, thank you for a great stay and an enjoyable week in the hotel.

We had a great experience at the Cordis Hong Kong. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport - you could use a taxi/MTR (both are cheap and easy). The hotel is linked to the Langham Place shopping centre, and also to the MTR via a walkway. Even though it's connected, it's extremely peaceful in the hotel itself, we found the air conditioned link to shops/restaurants/MTR transport very convenient.

The customer service at the Cordis Hong Kong was exceptional. On the Club level, Mahendran was extremely professional and very helpful from the moment we arrived, until we left. We booked a Club level room and I recommend doing this. It was really nice to have a Club level room as it gave us a nice calm escape after busy and hot sight seeing trips. I'm vegetarian which wasn't always easy in Hong Kong, but in the Cordis Club Lounge I had plenty of vegetarian options - everyone was well catered for. The pool area is lovely with views, and also plenty of shaded seating. Our room was a good size and house keeping had such good attention to detail, they even left book marks beside our books! They also did a turn down and left chocolates. The hotel has its own filtered water facility and provides bottles of water. I definitely recommend the Cordis and based on our excellent visit, I will also now consider Cordis hotels in other locations.

A comfortable 3 night stay in a luxury hotel. We had a spacious 2 bedroom 1 bathroom (toilet, shower, basin with separate bathtub) including an adjoining powder room (toilet & basin). The city views were spectacular day and night from our room on the 37th Floor. Staff were very helpful, most spoke English well. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and reasonably priced per adult with an abundance of choices from Western to Asian. A shopping complex has a footbridge from the hotel and the subway is directly across the road. The famous “Ladies Market” is a short walk away (if that’s your thing)! Gym access is 24 hours for those enthusiast (not me)! Pool is situated on the rooftop surrounded by spectacular views, the pool temperature was perfect for the stifling hot days. Day Spa also situated on the upper level. Overall, an enjoyable, luxurious and comfortable stay. Thank you Cordis.

It was very gud stay very near to MTR station and most of the street markets were also near by but price of the hotel was on a higher side

Check in and check out at the 'Lobby' floor, Which is on the 4th floor. The street level Ground floor is where the taxi drop off and pick up. They have Concierge counter and helpers at ground floor, ...you can borrow an umbella from the Concierge if needed.
