Before I talk about the hotel I would like to note my thanks to the staff. They treated us with great care and attention - nothing was too much trouble and it made for a wonderful weekend. The hotel is a great location base for exploring the Kowloon side. Lots of restaurants, walks, coffee etc all nearby. Inside the hotel was spotlessly clean, room was excellent and the facilities were very good. It’s not physically as big as some of the 5 star hotels but it’s quality over quantity. Having said that, I was fortunate to have lounge access (definitely do it if you possibly can) and it was far bigger and spacious than some of the others I’ve experienced in HK. Thanks to all the staff again and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Stayed here for a night for weekend staycation without special occasion. The hotel is well known as birthday / anniversary staycation place recently, and it is not surprise that if you are not one of those, you are probably less attentive. Arrived in the afternoon, long line in the lobby, indicated myself as Ambassador members as try to speed up my check in, unfortunately, the staff asked me to queue at first, until I asked another staff if there is a line for elite members. I was asked to walk to the other side and wait and stood in an open area, since there is no indication that it is a queue, the reception staff asked the next guest in the line to move forward and simply bypass me. I think the hotel management should consider how to manage the expectation and traffic flow. No surprise during the check in and not much communication. Asked for a high floor king bed room; and I was given a 9/F, - around mid-floor area and visible from the footfridge outside the hotel, and a room with two twin-bed merged - very bad sleeping experience as you would trapped into the gap even they put a bedding cover. And it is kinda pissed off when the front desk confirmed that it is a King bed room. Asked for an ice bucket for freezing wine at check in counter and never shown up. Welcome fruits in the room are unripe, I wonder if that's a decor or just recycled for courtesy. Furniture in the room was aged and a drawer with cracks. Television is not operable. Ordered room services, the menu is unclear and the staff could not address my question in order. She only repeated what she prepared and not addressing my question. The lobby cafe only has 1 staff stationed to take order, prepare drinks and clean up - basically it takes ages for you to order a coffee. Not much interaction during check-out at all. Overall speaking, this is not a real intercontinental experience (both hardware and software), it is definitely a sub-par quality among the portfolio, and it is trivially uncomparable to the closed ICHK nor any other intercontinental hotels around the globe. The hotel should revisit their positioning given a lot of luxury brands growing in the town; or otherwise, the IC management should consider looking for another properties to continue its IC operations in Hong Kong.

Since the Intercontinental hotel in TST is under renovation we decided to try this Intercontinental property called Grand Stanford tucked away in TST east area. We were shopping in TST before we checked in so it took us around 10-15 minutes to walk there. The hotel is very welcoming and staff were courteous. Check in was a breeze and we were upgraded to a Harbour view room which had a spectacular view. 🙏 The room is large and has all the amenities you need and if you require more the staff can bring you more easily albeit not that quickly. The hotel has a few restaurants on the premises and a bar called Tiffany's but we didn't have enough time to try. There's even free wifi throughout the hotel. Check in is at 3pm and check out is 12pm but if you need a later check out you can ask one of the friendly staff at the front counter.

I have stayed at the intercontinental grand Stanford a few times now and always use the club lounge. Angela who works in the club lounge is amazing at looking after the guests , she remembered me and always goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. I wish all hotels had this level of service that she provides. She is a real asset to the hotel! Can’t wait for my next staycation!
