Stayed for 4 nights (13th to 17th Dec), booked both a family and standard room. Giving 5 stars due to the price they are charging, size of room, toiletries, water n hair dryer provided, distance from mtr station, location of hotel, it’s very hard to find any better.
Below are more information. 1. Just need to cross 2 traffic lights, and will reach prince Edward mtr station in less than 5mins, 2. Friendly staffs (counter and online) 3. Almost all asian faces, mostly from mainland China, but I don’t find it noisy 4. If the rooms are sound proof, it would be perfect. 5. Very near west Kowloon high speed train station. Via taxi will be less than 60hkd. Any higher maybe due to taxi driver losing their way. 7. No connecting rooms. The most they can arrange 2 rooms on the same floor, few doors away from each other. 8. Standard Rooms are big enough to open a large luggage. Family room can open at 2 large luggages 9. Local food (affordable food) are easily available within 10mins walk away

Every time I go out and book a hotel, I always feel anxious because there are always bad reviews. The hotels in Hong Kong are small in size and have small beds. The hotels are also much more expensive. They are not as good as those in the mainland. The average cost per person is about 300 per night. I want to live in a bigger hotel with a higher cost performance. I had been eyeing the deluxe family room for 4 people at the Royal Plaza Hotel two months in advance. Because of the slow check-in and many bad reviews, plus the large price fluctuations, the price has increased a lot, from more than 1,000 to more than 1,300, I finally gave up and chose the Metropark Hotel, Mong Kok and Kowloon are both OK. I stayed at the Metropark Hotel Mong Kok, Hong Kong. Because my child is studying for a master's degree in Hong Kong, I don't have high expectations for the hotel. In fact, the check-in was still beyond expectations, which was better. The 4-person family room cost more than 800. It is also convenient to travel. There is a bus stop downstairs, and the name of the station is Metropark Hotel. From the airport, after transferring to Kowloon, the bus goes directly. It is convenient to go to various attractions. It is also close to Prince Edward MTR Station. Hong Kong transportation buses and subways are much more expensive than those in the mainland. Check-in is fast. I accidentally pressed the "Do Not Disturb" button during the trip and did not clean the house. I contacted the front desk to send a large bag of laundry supplies. The guests next door were still making loud noises at nearly 12 o'clock in the night, and the front desk was helpful to deal with it. Recommended to stay. The six-day trip to Hong Kong and Macau was a bit rushed. The night view of Hong Kong's Victoria Peak was super shocking, the yacht trip in Tai O Fishing Village was worth it, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was awesome, and the sea view of HKUST was beautiful, comparable to Lugu Lake.

The place is convenient as it's within 2-3 mins walk from Prince Edward Station. The place hosts a lot of tour groups hence very busy at times when checking in. There are crowds too at the lobby. Check-in was smooth but receptionists could be a bit friendlier as I find them to be a bit stoic. Can do the check in process earlier than 2pm but no room yet, but can get the key after 2pm. The people from the conceirge seem more friendly.
There are many money changers around the hotel but it's quite pricey, so avoid them. The room is spacious compared to other hotels I've stayed at in HongKong but the hotel has seen better days. The room and the hallways are clean but the wallpapers are chipping off.
There's free water, cola, coffee and tea in the room. It still also has the essentials travellers may need when vacationing.
The room has an adaptor but be careful not to bring it home as there's a $50 surcharge.
Gym is clean and well-maintained so I'm pretty happy about this. A good bang for your buck.

Got woken up at 7 in the morning multiple times by housekeeping people. Housekeeping people start working really early and end really late at night. I was trying to fight jet lag, so my sleep schedule was a bit out of the ordinary, and boy I could hear all kinds of noise when I was sleeping. Almost feels like there’s no walls. I’m a light sleeper so this really kills me. Avoid this if you want a good night of sleep especially during your 0+3 medical surveillance.
It also felt dusty and moldy and like no one actually cleaned this place as I could see the water stains even a freaking booger on the counter of the bathroom sink. I have hives so if a place is dusty, my skin gets really itchy.
The nice things I can say about this place is the doorman and the people who work for room service are all really polite and attentive. I would come back though if this place would have been cleaner and more quiet.

This hotel is generally of good quality. We don't expect charm from it, given the size and location, and it's OK! The rooms are a good size and spotless. Professional and standardized level of service. Breakfast offers a good choice, with lots of savory dishes. Good value for money

I stayed here for five days during a family trip to Hongkong recently. The room and toilet is spacious with good amenities. Although there were many electrical sockets, a few are damaged and thus unusable. The bed was very comfortable and the environment was quiet so I managed to sleep peacefully every night. I loved that my family were given connecting rooms so we could interact with each other easily.
The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful every morning when we saw them. Had to wait for the couple of small lifts during peak hours but that can’t be helped. The hotel location was conveniently near to bustops, MTR stations and a Wellcome mart.
The only major issue I had with my stay was the spotty WiFi. The signal was good when I first checked in but by the second day, the network slowed to a crawl at times and I had to give up doing my work remotely.

Pro: location; nice and helpful staff; restaurant on the first floor offers authentic dim sum. Con: They gave me a room on the 4th floor first, the whole floor including the room filled with extremely strong smell of cigarette even though I requested a non smoking room. Then they moved me to the 11th floor, it did smell better with quite a few air purifiers working constantly. Still you can smell it. If this bothers you, don’t come.
The whole place is dated with stained carpet.
A surprise came to me at check out is a 20HKD bill for 4 local phone calls I made to agencies related to Covid procedures. I didn’t see anywhere posted in the room. They told me it’s one of those fine prints when I agreed to use the WIFi. OK, I guess that’s my fault..

The location is very good. Bus stops, subway stations, both close together, making it easy to go anywhere. Moreover, restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores are all within walking distance, so you don't have to worry about staying.

Location is the best argument for this hotel. The complimentary water and chilled cans of coke are also a very nice detail that not every hotel offers. The room are clean (but could be cleaner behind furniture).
The staff was very helpful when the wifi broke down in the room.
Overall a good and quiet stay. Nothing to complain about.

The protest always happens in different locations. One day here, one day there. So really cannot tell in the future.
The hotel is near metro station, is accessible from different streets. Was near the past protest area, but for many weeks, it was free from protest as the protest always moves to different areas each time.
"Well, they have lots of guest but with many rooms. They change or clean every day so no. Problem with bottled water. The cleaners are very polite and always smiling"
There are more places to choose from in the Hong Kong area.
