This was a decent place to stay for the price, it was clean and a step above a hostel. The bathroom, although small, was great because the shower had good pressure and they provided tooth brushes etc. THe location was right next to the Night Market. I would reccomend this to someone wanting a cleaner place with privacy. If you... More

I got this hotel at SGD58 per night from hotels.com which is a great steal. The location of the hotel is just next to Temple Street which makes shopping at night easier and faster to get home. Opposite the hotel has Xu Liu Shan(famous dessert chain) which closes by Midnight and a nearby Macdonalds(3mins walk) with free WIFI for 20mins... More

I have stayed in this hotel twice. First during halloween 2009 and chinese new year in feb. 2010. The first time I thought of staying in this hotel, I was quite adamant because I quite use to staying in one of the hotels nearby. But lo and behold, this hotel is neat with a bigger lobby than hotels of its... More

The place is cramped. AVOID. The first room was about 6 -7 feet wide and 6 feet long plus a tiny shower area. Don't be thinking they have a bathroom with a bath, they dont. Second room stunk of cigarette smoke as most of the hotel is given over to SMOKERS. Third room, we finally gave in and took it,... More

The rooms here have been recently renovated and have safes in them now. But the room is so tiny and the window is very small makes them very claustrophobic. The bathroom is little bigger than an airline toilet. Although I had a double room, it was barely big enough for one person and I was glad that I only stayed... More

I'm not gonna stay there if i go Back To HONG KONG. very smallllllll rooms, impolite staff and locked windows.Whenever we asked them to use internet they had an excuse for not using it. did not like it at all. BUT I liked the Location.

great location within walking distance of transport and many of the kowloon attractions. yes the rooms are compact but the renovation has brought them up to a good standard and the room layout has been well thought out. lots of dining options within a short walk. the airport shuttle is convenient going to the airport but from the airport a... Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
