On celebration of the Chinese saying “Itchy 7-years Marriage” wedding anniversary, my husband booked the Conrad Hong Kong “A peace of mind” package. The hotel is in super convenient location (intersection of major railways in HK Island) and 5 minutes walk from my husband works place in admiralty. My husband highly recommends this hotel has he always have excellent business meals there - and my stay has far exceeded my expectation, being a loyal Hilton Honors member, Conrad has demonstrated superior hospitality and surprised me in every way. My husband has advised the hotel that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary with several restaurants booked. Conrad has been giving us non-stop surprises – thank you Mr. Stephane Roubin / Hotel Manager. My room was upgraded to a high floor harbor (spectacular) sea view suite with lounge access. The lounge wine collection was quite unique in Hong Kong lounge standard with customs made cocktails made to order. Celebrating our wedding anniversary, Conrad gave me a bunch of rose, a bottle of champagne, some chocolates, and a card (signed by Jan Jansen, the GM). I am not the type of person who keep hotel cards, but this one I would certainly keep – it’s not a post card type memo, but a full folding card. In additional to the room, we have enjoyed gourmet from Nicholini’s / Brasserie / Golden Leaf. 1) Dinner at Nicholini’s with two other couples in a triple date, to my husband’s surprise he was greeted by the hotel manager Mr. Stephane Roubin and treated us with welcome champagne. The T-Bone steak for 2-3 is large and yummy, the six of us shared it with some other food. Also my thanks to Mr. Nolan Cheung / Nicholini’s Manager for treating us with paring wine and dessert. 2) Next day morning we had breakfast in the room, which was delivered by a dining cart with options of Hong Kong/Japan/American breakfast. We ordered the latter two. As the room was upgraded with a spectacular view, the breakfast was a highlight indeed. 3) Lunch for two in Brasserie on the eighth and with my surprise I was greeted in person by Mr. Kristofer Bremstrom / Director of F&B. The lobster bisque was excellent and I ordered an additional bowl. I used my dining credit ($700) from the staycation package in Brasserie. 4) In the evening we were in the Golden Leaf with friends, great service only with a slight disappointment that the restaurant is no longer serving (for good) their famous dish beggar chicken which my husband always praise from his business meals. I think mentioning the price is not appropriate here but I want to emphasize the hotel delivers excellent value in my book. As a loyal member I get 25% discount worldwide Hilton promotion but your miles might vary. Peace of mind package - $1700+10% Nicholini’s dinner for six - $4240+10% Brasserie lunch for two - $490+10% (after dining credit $700) Golden Leaf dinner for eight - $3792+10% For a great celebration that we completely thrilled and enjoyed - Priceless. My thanks again to everybody in Conrad to make my wedding anniversary wonderful, especially to Mr. Stephane Roubin to have made me speechless with all the surprises.

Supposed to check in at 11am but we arrived at around 1130am and waited for more than 20mins for the check in process. The attitude of the reception was appalling and was never apologetic for the wait. They knew based that it was my wife's birthday but never bothered to greet or wished her. There was also no people to even offered to carry our luggage to the reception area or our room. In addition, we have a 1 year plus toddler with us and there wasn't any help offered at all. We booked a harbour view room but was allocated a room with a big building in front of us (blocking the seaview) which is totally unacceptable and is different from what we have seen in the promotion ads. Went to reception to raise a complain but was taken very lightly by the same receptionist. Again, she was not apologetic and our complain was not taken seriously. There wasn't any real solution offered to compensate the disappointment and frustration that we encountered. Never have we come across such an appalling and lackadaisical service and attitude from the front office staffs of a 5 star hotel. The experience has ruined the birthday celebration and mood that I have planned for my wife. I trusted Conrad as a 5 star hotel under the Hilton family brand to celebrate a momentous celebration but got nothing but disappointment, anger and frustration. In hindsight, I would have chosen another hotel given options are abundant for now. I would not recommend Conrad for your staycation. There are plenty of other choices in HK which offers a better package, and more importantly a much better service to its guests. Forget about the staffs going the extra mile. They didn't even want to go half a mile.

The pool is fantastic - one of the positives to come out of the pandemic is that they have a max allowance of 15 people. We only ever saw a handful of guests so had the pool to ourselves. The rooms are nice albeit a little bit dated. The views from the 57th floor are something to be witnessed. The garden cafe at night is lovely especially if you get a sofa seat overlooking the beautifully lit pool. Breakfast at the garden cafe is buffet style and adequate but not one if the best hotel breakfasts. The smoked salmon seemed a bit dry. Great staff and centrally located for wan chai and admiralty. Private entrance to pacific place shopping mall.

I have been visiting to Conrad Hong Kong consecutively for different occasions since the outbreak of COVID-19. It is my pleasure to meet Conrad Hong Kong for relieving under this pandemic. Everything here is great for my stays. Each front desk associate is professional and courteous and each of them will introduce all information well with a good manner. Mr. Joe WONG, assistant duty manager, is part and parcel of this successful team. Joe is the most outstanding, caring and brilliant leader I have ever encountered. Joe always does his utmost to facilitate us. There is no doubt that Joe is very pragmatic to deal with my matter and makes everything smooth. I dare to say, he does put himself into other shoes and is not deliberate to present such a good service for compliments but is from his heart. Thanks Joe again. Apart from the excellent personnel, the fantastic harbour view suite cannot be neglected. This suite is sizeable with magnificent harbour view. Frankly, Conrad Hong Kong is old but the room/suite maintenance is still good. I can’t see any stain in the room toilets and the bedding is wonderful. I do recommend everyone to experience such a nice accommodation.

We had a weekend staycation with our 3 year old daughter and being able to use the pool was a big attraction. Unfortunately the hotel said that only 15 people per hour were able to use the pool and it needed to be booked on the day. We woke up early on Saturday morning (okay it was 8am) and were told only 3.45-4.45pm was available. On Sunday we tried before 7am and were told the pool was booked until 6.30pm. My wife and I found it very hard to believe that people had got up so early to book. We checked the pool at around 9am and there were way less than 15 there. This hotel is quite old, the staff are okay but it seemed very popular with locals, which speaks for itself but the lack of pool access ruined it really. Seeing our daughter in tears this morning with disappointment wasn’t great, we won’t be back. One last thing to mention was that in the likes of the Four Seasons you see management walking the patch at peak times. I saw little of that here and the reception staff were very much left to fend for themselves.
