My wife Pam and I have stayed at the Bishop Lei a number of times. We stopped when their prices got too high for our budget. Because of the protests, it appears they lowered their prices and added a complimentary breakfast so we could stay there on this trip.
Positives: They upgraded us to a Harbor View Suite due, no doubt, to the Coronavirus scare. Still, a nice gesture.
The staff is very professional from the front desk to the door staff to the housekeepers.
The location is ideal for our needs being in the mid-levels with an extensive shuttle schedule, easy access to the Escalator, and extensive walking paths in the near neighborhood. There are also a number of good eateries within walking distance of the Hotel.
The breakfast had limited choices because of no buffet but what was served was very good.
Negatives: The rooms are small but that's true for many HK hotels.
Their prepay policy has kept us from staying there in the past. They may want to re-think the policy. We had to leave a day earlier because of airline changes and were not able to get a refund of our last night. Seems short-sighted.
The dinner menu only offered fixed price choices. We like more variety. This may have been a function of the Coronavirus situation.
Sometimes taxis must leave us off across the street which is dangerous. Sometimes it's better to pay the extra and have the taxi make the Mosque St. loop.
Overall, we would return unless we needed some flexibility in our plans.

Edit: Thankfully, after some arguing, I was allowed to have my bike in the room. They have also changed the menu so you can combine certain food items for a decent price. Overall, the room itself has been pleasant to stay in.
The WiFi is garbage though. I am constantly having to reconnect when I am in meetings, on calls or streaming movies.

I stayed in the deluxe suite and a standard single room for 5 weeks initially for self-quarantining upon arrival in HK. During the quarantine, the staff were really good about contactless delivery and making sure that any food that was delivered was delivered by them versus sending drivers into the building. They were prompt to leave supplies outside the door whenever I needed. Both sized rooms were clean and just perfect, the cleaning and room service were impeccable, the included breakfast was of great value and quality. All the staff were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. The location is convenient and yet still separated from the hustle and bustle of HK and so it was safe during the third wave of covid. I would highly, highly recommend this hotel! Peaceful, safe, and great value and quality for the price!

狭くて高い香港のホテルのイメージが変わりました。広さは日本のビジネスホテルくらいあり、荷物も広げられます。 For anyone looking for a hotel in Mid Levels, this is a good choice as it is close to the escalators and restaurants but is otherwise in a quiet location. They have a 24 hour room service and I must say the entire staff was extremely helpful. I look forward to returning.

I am fully impressed by the quality services offered to me and my wife during our stay at the Bishop Lei International House.
We not only enjoyed the tranquility and comfort of accommodation but also the excellent catering service of the Terrace Room Restaurant. It is such a pleasant experience to take our meals there, during which we were feeling very much at home given the hospitality and thoughtfulness of all the restaurant staff, not to mention the rich variety of western and eastern dishes.

Late posting, my stay was during CNY Feb, 2019
I’ve heard so much about this hotel, it’s more like a motel with a charming feel to it. I feel this could be a place for extended stay if one needs to work extensively in HK, but I was just there for 2 nights where many of the hotels I usually stay was full. I booked my stay from Agoda.
If on extended stay, you will have time to explore the unique shuttle bus schedule, operational hours of the Mid levels escalator to Central Station, the convenient bus stop in front of the hotel as they are the main ways one would commute while staying here.
Sleep quality was very good but one needs to bare with the super small room size. However, cleanliness was very good and everything worked in the room.
While it was an okay stay, I most likely will not choose this hotel again as there are a lot of hotels nearer to Central without the hassle of commuting.

I have stayed at Bishop Lei for a long period of time, I absolutely enjoyed and loved everything it offers!
1) Location: Amazing upscale location
2) View: Specular views of the HK skyline (one of the best views!!)
3) Service: The friendliest, most helpful (genuinely help from the heart! True hospitality! I really appreciate that they are always keen to help whenever I needed- including Concierge, Front Office, Reservation, F&B and Housekeeping teams)
4) Amenities: Amazing outdoor pool and gym with great views, a business lounge for printing, and international TV channels that I loved!
5) Cleanliness: They are very intensive in keeping the standards, and urge to change something small for me due to a slight flaw that didn't even bother me. And I was surprised by how frequently they housekeep for rooms for its rates!
5) Value: Absolutely amazing value!
To conclude, I sincerely loved my stay there and all the staffs that felt like family, greeting me every day by my name. I will definitely stay again upon my return to town. I'm very glad they have worked hard and made it through the difficult time during COVID.
PS: I would like to give a special kudos to the concierge staff Thomas, very professional and helpful, a starred employee that deserves a paid rise cos brilliant staff is hard to find with such dedication! So as many other front desk and reservation teams.

The location is great, quiet, and secure, with bus stops outside the hotel, and a 5 -10mins walk to mid-level MTR, bars, grocery stores, and restaurants. The room was clean and neat and had good WIFI. I enjoy the breakfast, the food and breakfast staff were great. All staff was helpful and professional. My room was on the top floor with a stunning view over the Hong Kong Harbors, Zoo, and Night central scene.
I had a good time and definitely will return.

Mixed feelings about this place. The hotel is in an excellent spot, 5 minutes walking from the peak train, just close to the botanic garden, in front of a bus stop and 2 minutes from the centre-mid levels escalators. I had a single room, which was small but with a decent bathroom, bed was definitely too hard for me though, didn't sleep well at all. Cleaning was done every day, but in an erratic way. The very first day despite leaving the "Please make up the room" sign on the door, I left my room at 10 Am and found it still not made at 4 PM. The second I entered my room, the cleaning staff came, so I had to leave the room again.
The swimming pool, which was one of the reasons I chose this place, was closed.
The hotel restaurant, where I had breakfast once, is absolutely terrible, my breakfast was the worst meal I had during my entire trip.
During my stay the front desk/reception/conciergerie staff I spoke with was definitely mixed. Some of them, let's say 2 of them, were definitely nice and helpful. The other ones were as nice and lovely as a colonoscopy with sandpaper, which is pretty annoying considering how much I paid for this place (120€ per night, with no breakfast). So, would I come back here? Maybe, but just for the great position, definitely not for the staff or the services provided
