The hotel and room are overall dated. Hotel lobby was hot and the check in area was temporary. Process was slow and the queue time was long even at 6:30pm. My room (twin) wasn't ready so staff offered an upgrade to 32/F room, which was a double bed, and was a bit inconvenient but was glad I had a room before 7pm. The room only had the basic and fridge was not working well. We needed ice to chill a wine we brought so we called room service but the phone was never answered. I had to go back to that check-in area and queue, again, at 8:30pm. There was no wine glass in the room as well even though the staff said there should have been. Since the hotel looked quite old, i really couldn't comment on the cleanliness of the room. However, there was some grease stain on the window (and it showed in the reflection when outside was dark) and the bathroom mirror wasn't very clean. The bathroom was reasonably clean albeit some rust stains near the amenity box. I did use laptop in the room and there was a redundant cover around sockets which blocked the space around the sockets making them unusable and I had to cut the video call short. Why I say it was redundant is that one of the sockets was used for the table lamp, so the lid of the cover can never be totally closed. In addition, the air con system seemed to have broken for the whole hotel. The room was slightly too warm and I couldn't adjust the temperature. The corridor and lift area had some weird smell. The 31/F area had some cooking smell. The lifts were hot and they were very slow.

This is the Second time staying in this hotel for staycation in a month. We like this hotel because of the convenient location. The hotel has been in causeway bay for quite some time and the rooms and amenities need to be upgraded. For the price it was still worth a stay. I stayed for 1 night with my hubby and my 18 months baby (able to walk and run). As it’s a staycation, most of our time we are spending in the room but my husband stepped on a needle in the living area which is shocking! We didn’t report it upon check out as we didn’t want to make a fuss. However, we don’t think we will come back again.

After I booked the executive suite, I called your reservation department for confirmation. However, I was treated impolitely by your ex-staff Tammy Tam. For the sake of the goodwill, you may consider to increase the manpower of your reservation department.

Regal has several large scale properties around the city including this Regal Hongkong Hotel in Causeway Bay. This is a mass market, mid-range property with good sized rooms that are going at very cheap rates during the pandemics, as the hotel caters to local staycation market for the time being. Taking advantage of their very low prices, we recently stayed at the Regal Hongkong Hotel for a few nights and found our stay to be just ok. Reservation was made through booking.com where we found similar rates to what they were offering directly on the hotel website. Check-in was quite slow compared to most hotels around the city. A short queue still resulted in a 15 minute check-in. Rooms were not ready 1 hour before scheduled 3pm availability time during midweek. Arrived at 2.45pm and the queue for those waiting for rooms was very long, took nearly 30 minutes to pick up room cards. Witnessed the same thing happening around 3pm each day while we stayed. Luggage storage at the concierge is available. Property location isn't bad if you want to be in the shopping area in Causeway Bay. Plenty of dining, coffee shop and bars in pretty much all directions as well. Regal also has a lobby lounge and a few in house restaurants as well. Our room wasn't great. Pros include plenty of space and room decor was fair, there was decent furnishing and fair views, bathroom was also fine, TV, kettle, fridge, room safe and A/C all worked as expected. The room did have a few issues. The room door had to be slightly lifted and pushed hard to close. Others on the floor had the same issue, could hear doors slamming in order to close fairly regularly during out stay. Room had a damp and slightly dank smell each time we entered, carpet was a dirty, hadn't been vacuumed in some time. Bed was quite firm and not particularly comfortable. Wifi was poor throughout our stay, a lot of page refresh and timing out during the day. Was better very early in the morning however. Overall, we didn't have a great experience at the Regal Hong Kong Hotel in Causeway Bay. We like their property at the airport and have some decent stays at the i club brand hotels around the city over the years. However, this stay wasn't up to those experiences, even with the deeply discounted room rates. Too much waiting time for check-in and room card pick-up and poor room conditions would keep us from staying at this Regal property again unfortunately.

This is the second time to visit this hotel, I booked the same room type. Here are the problem: 1. The air con in toilet is poor that my toilet is smelly 2. The size is totally different as last time 3. The bathtub is totally different ( too small this time) 4. The lounge is different ( no cake?) 5. The air con is bad. I tried a lot of time but it's overly cold and hot--> I got sick for whole day after checking out. and lots points. You just ruin my day
