At last we managed a stay at MO Hong Kong. We have wanted to experience this well known hotel for years. We have not stayed earlier as we were unable to convince the hotel to allow our two kids to stay in one room with us. This is despite us not requiring any extra bed at all. Since our kids has now grown to 12years old and above we have to take two rooms anyway, hence we decided to book a stay here.

We came with high expectation and were not disappointed. Direct booking with the hotel were handled efficiently including rate changes. Service were very good. We had connecting rooms with harbour view and found it to be very very nice. The view was splendid. The rooms were well set up with things in good condition.

Location of the hotel is very good with easy access to central subway station. It is also in central district where good food are plentiful and easy access to many places of interest. We walk from and to Hong Kong station as we took the airport express. It is a short enough walk but have to navigate some steps. It would be nice for the hotel to provide the best route to walk to and from Hong Kong station in their website as i find this is the best way to get to the hotel.

We had both the buffet and set breakfast. The food is basically the same but you get table service for the set breakfast. For a more varied mix then the buffet is preferable. The food is very nice and service is excellent. We had breakfast as benefit of fans of MO. We find this benefit to be extremely beneficial as it is an instant benefit unlike collecting points like other loyalty programme.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the rooms. MO will be our go to hotel in Hong Kong as long as it remain affordable to us. Perhaps MO can tailor packages for families of four like us. One more wish list is for MO to provide a pot of chinese tea each night that guests can enjoy when they return to their rooms. We had enjoyed the chinese tea at another hotel in Hong Kong.

There are no words to describe just how incredible this property is. We are very fortunate in that we travel often and stay at some beautiful properties around the world. By far, the Mandarin Oriental has taken top spot in our favourite hotel ever. It is a destination in itself. It is timeless and faultless. When you enter you know you are somewhere special and it feels like it's exactly where it should be with the very tasteful interiors and artwork - it could only be Hong Kong. So many times you enter a hotel and the feeling is that you could be anywhere. Not here.
The beautifully appointed guests rooms have everything you could possibly want. Super comfortable beds, amazing showers and lovely amenities. I cannot think of one slight issue or fault during our stay. The staff treated us like family and from talking to many of them, some have been there for many years so it must be a great place to work. The team there seem to operate flawlessly. I literally am stuck for words. The staff in the Mandarin Club are engaging without being intrusive and the food offerings are incredible. This has to be our new place to go.
We went for Sunday brunch which was out of this world, the Aubrey bar was lovely and Captains bar a great place for a cosy drink. Breakfast could not have been better. Location is spot on - for leisure travel or business travel with the trams, MTR and bus network on your doorstep.

We saw housekeeping just once - what a professional operation that is seamless and like magic, your room is made up or turned down. Little thoughts in the rooms in the evening left for us and amenities are world class. I even came back to my room on evening and my charging cord has been carefully curled up with a lovely Mandarin Oriental grip on it to keep the cord neat and tidy. It's these little things that make you think 'wow'. Let's face it, any Hotel can do a good job but everything and everyone, here goes way above and beyond to create an idyllic, stylish and most of all luxurious stay. Yet, it's unpretentious and homely.

Thanks to Bosco for help in booking, and thank you to each and every staff member who makes this Hotel the very best in Hong Kong. I would never want to stay anywhere else in Hong Kong. I wish we could remember all of your names - from housekeeping to reception, the Mandarin Club and beyond - you are all exceptional. We even managed to chat with a couple of lovely interns who were working there and we wish them the very best in their careers moving forwards.

A magical, exceptional stay. Thank you all. Amazing.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mandarin Oriental. Our room was large (especially for Hong Kong), the shower was amazing with great water pressure coming from two shower heads. The buffet breakfast was generous with a wide selection, we were presently surprised that it was included in the room rate. The location is central with easy access to mid levels and the star ferry for Kowloon. Happy hour in the Captains Bar is a must!

Karl on the front desk went the extra mile to make our stay memorable.

Best hotel we've stayed at - and we've stayed at a lot of fine places. The staff absolutely made this place exceptional - from the front door team, to reception, to those serving the rooms, and the staff in the restaurants. The room quality is exceptional - we have a harbour facing room. The room was fully equiped with coffee maker, frequently restocked filtered water, lovely shower, sep bath, robes, etc... It was everything we could want. The location was also exceptional - steps from the Central MTR station entrance, and connected via the level 1 walkway system to many other hotels, shops and even the pier complex - all of which made it a very easy place to tour and enjoy HK from.

The hotel is immaculate, walking around venues that are historically wrote the story of the city and the hotel. We spent our night in ‘The chinnery’ that opened his door in the 1963; the ambience is cozy and refine offering a vast selection of whiskey and delicious Indian/British food. I been welcome by a very professional lady who turns out be the manager of the venue, her name was Frieda. She was very attentive and accurate taking care of our requests and needs; the service was fantastic from start to end, definitely the best hotel and bar in Hong Kong if you looking for quality and impeccable service

Although I heard lots of local people saying that this hotel is quite old, it's actually NOT. It's pretty modern with traditional Chinese decor and dark wood colour, which is not easy to find in HK, and it makes this hotel unique.

In my perspective, most of the luxury hotels in HK or all around the world start to look the same with white and cream colour and marbled walls. I'm not against them but I would just prefer the hotels reflecting the traditional or local art and culture with its own uniqueness.

I would say it's a luxury boutique business hotel according to the size and the location of the hotel which is not that big and located in the heart of the city where business persons can access this hotel easily.

In terms of the rooms, I have a starter room which is impressive with the city view and full of best facilities and amenities, according to the luxury hotel standard. On top of that, the housekeeping team is the best, I love how they pay attention to small details in my room when they clean my room such as folding my clothes and rearranging my unorganized stuff, not to mention their friendliness and surprising scrumptious birthday cake served in my room, I really love that cake.

In terms of the breakfast and dining venues, I like how they have 2 choices of breakfast: buffet style, and sets. My friend and I also went to The Aubrey for drinks but it was too bad that we had an appointment with a local friend outside, otherwise we could have stayed longer to enjoy more drinks or probably food as well.

In terms of service, I love how they help me and my friend as much as they can when I need anything or information, they never leave me curious or tell me to Google it instead.

In terms of the wellness center, I didn't use the service at all except the gym and it was fine.

The overall experience is great, I'll come back again for sure and this hotel will be the first hotel I would recommend to the people who I know when they want to come to HK.

Having stayed at many different hotels in Hong Kong, but mainly in the Kowloon side, we decided we wanted somewhere in the Hong Kong side this round and settled on Mandarin Oriental.

It was the PERFECT hotel to stay in. I loved the location which is near many large malls and near a MTR station. It is also walkable to so many eateries and shops which I love.

As our room came with lounge access, we immediately enjoyed the afternoon tea in the lounge upon check-in and the food was great and service was good too. We went to the lounge almost daily and loved the F&B offerings they had. Staff were all friendly and efficient too.

The room was the traditional classic luxury and we had a great sleep throughout the few nights. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I've always been very particular about bathrooms and it was very spacious with both a tub and shower area. The toiletries provided are Diptyque which is synonymous with their hotels worldwide.

On our check-out day, the reception told us we had unused credits and immediately called the hotel restaurants to see if they could get us a table. We were lucky to get one at Mandarin Grill and it's a bonus to have such a sumptuous lunch before we flew back home. The staff knew that we had to leave to the airport in 90 mins, hence they sped up the food service but didn't compromise anything. The lobster bisque was probably the best I had ever had and the steak was well cooked.

We loved our stay overall and would come back again!

Excellence in all areas: Rooms, Service, Reception, Restaurants, Location and Attention to Detail. Mandarin Hong Kong is unsurpassable in the above areas.
Rooms - kept clean at its best. Housekeeping remembers your special requests from the previous trips and you will find those items placed in your room in your next arrival.
The rooms are the cleanest and best kept in the world. One is pampered from the quality of the linens, towels and good selection of toiletries.
The hotel's service starting from the airport to the reception, concierge, rooms and restaurant all speak of warmth and care. Cuisines are to be remembered and repeated in the restaurants such as Man Wah, Chinnery - the Best Fish n Chips!, Grill,
Clipper and others. I say others because we know they are good except time was not enough to try it all. The thing is one is in Hong Kong to enjoy the culinary options but many of those are already inside Mandarin.
Location is great, right in the heart of Central overlooking the harbor and the ability to connect to other buildings up to the IFC.
Mandarin Hong Kong is perfection at its peak.

Hello!

I visited your restaurant for dinner on 18/2/2025 and expressed my heartfelt appreciation for the overall experience.

First, the professional and attentive attitude of the staff of the restaurant is impressive. On the same day, our staff Janice Au, from warm greetings at the check-in, patient introduction of the menu, to careful attention to the needs of customers during meals, showed a sincere and detailed way of welcoming. This customer-centered attitude not only makes the meal process more comfortable, but also reflects the excellent training and management of your restaurant team.

Secondly, the quality of the food at the restaurant is equally remarkable. Organic red rice dishes, such as beef eggs and garlic, have a unique flavor, fresh ingredients, and the benefits of cooking and cooking are appropriate, perfectly presenting the level of cuisine. Impressed, the chef can see the attention and persistence of the meal.

In addition, the dining atmosphere and clean environment of the whole restaurant are also worth praising. From soft lighting, comfortable seating arrangements, to the clean maintenance of utensils and tables, your team can feel the importance of detail so that customers can enjoy their food in a pleasant environment.

The meal experience, whether staff service, quality of dining or overall atmosphere, exceeded my expectations. We are confident that your restaurant will continue to maintain a high standard and be the first choice for customers. Please pass this confirmation to the relevant team members, their contributions deserve to be seen and praised!

I am sure to come back in the future and recommend your restaurant to friends. Thank you for your care, good business and good luck!

Therefore
June
