This is my first staycation in Hong Kong and I picked JW Marriott. Upgraded to the executive harbour view room as a Marriott Bonvoy platinum membership benefit. Very easy for you to get around the area @Pacific Place but I enjoyed my time in the club lounge and JW Cafe dinner buffet is outstanding! Perhaps the afternoon tea can be improved in the club lounge. A bit less variety on food for the “JW” standard.

Second time with JW. Was sceptical with their room particular the bathroom. The smallest amongst Island Shang and Conrad and some rooms are aged. But this time I got a new designed room with open bathroom though without the bath tub that’s why the room look much spacious. Got a bit of drama at the check in. Was assigned connect room twice so that i needed to go back and forth to the front desk. Alvin Shing from the front desk went extra mile and offered this newly design room and guarantee i would like it. Didn’t get disappointed and totally luv it particular to a lady traveller... Very important :). Everything is new though it is a building view, sometimes u need to compromise. Later, received an apology card accompany with sweet delights as a gesture. Good and quick remedy service. Well done, Alvin! Breakfast is great, lots of choices. Egg Benedict is a must have. Have access to their executive lounge, nice wine, little snacks but definitely much better than Conrad. (Nightmare to fight with guests and with a tiny harbour view) In brief, I would like to come back if I could stay at the same room. Or Island Shangri-La will be my options.

The hotel as a whole is always very friendly. The highlight is Bryson’s drinks at the Fish bar as he always makes an effort to be creative and is a true bartender - one of the best. Bryson is always very welcoming and making sure everything is perfect and guests / locals always come to see him. Highly recommend the pineapple colada drink as it was excellent. Rooms are still quite nice. Alvin was very helpful as usual as assistant front desk manager in securing my room type and check out time and advising of the latest facilities. Also Patrick at front desk is helpful. The other week when I just needed a couple of things printed, nothing was too much trouble. Iris is also good. Exec lounge has gone downhill a bit as the main focus is on the restaurant which is part of the lounge. They used to just do the restaurant at lunch Monday to Friday but now it’s every lunch and evening and so detracts from the lounge experience. The food is more limited than pre Covid times but is better than a few months ago. The servers in the lounge are friendly and make the lounge (Marco, Andy, Ivan, Jerome, princess etc). Lounge hours are being cut as afternoon tea is shorter (probably due to restaurant focus) and evening drinks are shorter as under current HK rules, lounge has to close at 9 but drinks stop at 8 (no reason for it to not remain as 830 as they serve dinner guests still). I still rate the lounge high compared with other hotels (ritz Carlton excluded) but it’s just not quite what it was and the focus is on restaurant rather than worrying re loyal guests. However overall it is highly recommended as a hotel for business, pleasure or just a staycation. Make sure to check out Bryson drinks at the fish bar or the main bar (when it reopens). The facilities and people make the hotel 5 stars.

My family had a stayvaction in mid-November. We got a package deal with breakfast included. I can say that Breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfast we have in the past few months. The hotal is located in a very good location for us to explore Hong Kong Park which offers many attraction including the Museum of Tea Ware, the Conservatory and Edward Youde Aviary. We spend hours there and went back to Pacific Place for lunch. We love the Fish Bar, a pool side seafood restaurant! The hotel staff are excellence and take care of our needs while we stayed there.

I enjoyed a one-night stay with my girlfriend at its harbour view room. The room is spacious and clean, with nice view of the Victoria Harbour. Front desk staff are also kind to arrange storage of my birthday presents in advance of check-in, for me to give a surprise. We enjoyed delicious welcome snacks as well. In all, we had a great time during our stay.
