I was sadly disappointed when I saw the size of the room. The sheet was not as white as any in the official photos, and the bed cover and pillow retain an odour of previous occupants. Also sheet had dubious stains on it. However, the wifi is the best I've come across in any hotel. Very fast, and no issues... More

It really depends on what you're are looking for. I was there as a backpacker with my friends and we used only our room to sleep. As you may have read in many comments ChungKing mansion is a melting pot in itself and may appear a bit dirty. Still it's safe and rather well situated. The room was basic but... More

We are on a trip around the world and have been traveling for about 5 months now. We stayed at this hostel for 3 nights in January 2013 but only because we paid in advance and they wouldn't give us our money back. We have been to many hostels around the world and are not picky at all but this... More

After reading the huge amount of bad reviews on here for this place we'd thought we'd made a terrible mistake. But once we arrived our concerns were relieved. This place is not nearly as bad as some people have said. If you've stayed on a backpackers before you'll be fine. We stayed there 4 nights in December. -the lifts can... More

Owned and managed by the owner and manager of Canadian hostel. Location is right on the main street in South Kowloon, close to a MTR station and several buses, which is very convenient. To get to your room you however need to enter and pass through Chunking Mansions, which resembled some sort of not-too-pleasant run-down Indian bazaar. All the cheapest... More
