The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
This time join with friends birthday and take a stay in Madera hotel. I got to say it's fine for me as the room is quiet enough and the staff do give us a surprise of a birthday cake. That's amazing and I never expect it. The only thing I got to say is the game room was closed but this totally not affect us at all.
The company booked madera for me to stay this time as the Prudential hotel is fully booked. I wanna to say it's not bad at all and as it's very near to jordan MTR station with 5 minutes walking at all. Will come along with my family on next visit.
This hotel is different from other hotel as there is a Hong Kong museum next to the lobby. It shows some item of Hong Kong 80's and provide the place for photo shooting. I like the theme as it's really nice and no other hotel with similar facilities. We will visit once again if we back to Hong Kong.
There's a lot of choice for Hotels in Jordan area and I choose to stay in madera this time as they still got rooms available. Finally, not bad at all as room are good and there's cafe for breakfast. The MTR is nearby and under walking distance. Will definitely suggest to friends.
We arrived at the hotel before the official check-in time with my toddler, and Lavender at the reception not only gave us our room, but gave us an upgrade to the Premier Double Room! This is our 2nd time staying here, and we are sure to be back at this hotel when we visit HK again! The hotel is very near many famous eateries, and only a 3-5 min walk to Jordan Station Exit B, which makes travelling around very easy. We wanted to take a cab one morning and they were also readily available right outside the hotel. Fantastic location and staff, we will be back!
