Excellent service by by hotel staff Maggie & Bailey! Maggie helped us to checkin and provided us a professional & in-depth guideline of the hotel & facilities. We stayed at Ritz to celebrate my birthday and new marriage. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay extremely memorable. 10/10

My husband and I booked a staycation package and spent 2 days 1 night in the hotel. We stayed in the corner room with Victoria Harbour view and South China Sea view. Went to try out the CAFE 103 (high tea), Tin Lung Heen (dinner) and Lounge and Bar (breakfast) Room: - Hotel is so sweet that they arranged deco for us. Love the card with pretty handwriting. -Suggest that they can arrange a better logistic for decoration as when we entered the room, the staff responsible for decoration was still in the room.. But that staff was super nice and we appreciated that she helped us to take a lot of photos in front of corner window with excellent sea view. - VIEW is EXCELLENT, definitely worth the room rate. - Room is clean. Toilet is big and we like the bath tube coz there is TV in toilet. The tube is bit small for 2 ppl. Toilet and shower room are separated which is good for privacy. - Coffee machine is available in the room. We enjoyed making our own coffee in front of the window in the morning. - Slipper is too small for male. Size is fine for female. -There is in-room audio device for us to play soft music. -Room service is good that they provide us make up remover (need to pay) and can arrange staff to help taking photos. Cafe 103: Disappointed and won’t recommend. High tea food quality is not up to standard. Food looks good but taste bad. Scones and croissant are cold. Compared to Peninsula, still long way to go. Service is not up to 5-star hotel standard. Firstly, staff mixed up our tea order and put my husband’s tea in front of me and put mine in front of my husband, even after she asked me what tea I ordered. Not to mention they shall not even ask me (as they shall remember their customer’s order). Secondly, after we sat down, we politely ask if there is any window seat. The male waiter answered us “okay I will check” without looking to us (bit rude, you know he is not gonna check anyway). The same waiter later served us the tea but he didn’t introduce us the tea set. He simply put down the tea set and go away (compared to Peninsula which is hotel of same grade, this service standard is not acceptable). Afterwards 30 min, when we are having our tea set, the same waiter asked us if we want to buy dining coupons. This act gave us a feeling that we are in a low grade restaurant and the waiters have to meet their sales target for dining coupon They shall ask after we finish the tea set. Staff is not well trained for staycation offer that we need to manually remind them for 20% off discount (staff does not know there is a staycation offer and even we have mentioned, they look a bit sceptical and went to double confirm with their manager) Waters of the tea pot are not regularly and automatically refilled. They are only refilled upon request. Quality of tea pot is poor. Water will leak out easily when we pour out the tea. My token of appreciation to another male waiter who noticed I am a left hander. He put all the utensils to my left hand side. This is what I am expecting for a 5- star service. Tin Lung Heen Nice deco and good atmosphere. Environment is clean and spacious with good music. Staffs are polite and professional. They noticed I am left hander after first course and adjust the position of my utensils. Food is good. Clear explanation on each course. Barbecued pork tasted good and soft (even though it is not a fatty pork). Deep- fried crab shell full of soft crab meat. Love the texture on the sea cucumber. Overall experience is very nice. Worth to try. Breakfast in Lounge and Bar Nice view but reception is rude (she told me rudely that window seat is reserved by others) Food is okay. I like the chicken congee which is mashy and soft. Token of appreciation to a foreign male waiter who took the white pepper to my seat in Tosca di Angelo despite his work station is in lounge and bar. This is what we expect for a 5-star hotel.

We recently stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary and everything was perfect as we expected! We were warmly welcomed by Wilson and Charles from rooms, and Bailey, Wakana and Igor took care of us during all our meals at the Club Lounge (which actually includes everyone we met at the Club/Lounge and Bar, sorry that we could not remember everyone’s names). Thank you very much for your hospitality and we look forward to staying again soon!
