The most difficult thing about Butterfly on Wellington was figuring out how to get there from the train station the first night (hint: if arriving on the airport train, do not walk directly out of the station when you get to Central as you want to take exit C if you have luggage to haul around, and you walk there...

I was upgraded to a reasonably spacious room at a cost of HKD 156. The room was clean and well-equipped. Staff is polite and efficient. One advice about the deco - the red flower pillow and butterfly's scattered on the bed are annoying when one tries to rest in the bed. Furthermore, they looks bloody ugly!

Stayed at the Butterfly on Wellington for a night, before I flew out of Hong Kong. I knew I wanted to stay on the HK side, near the center of the city, and close to a MTR subway stop. The Butterfly was just a few minutes walk from both the "Central" and the "Sheung Wan" stops - and about the...

Wouldn't mind having breakfast option though; or perhaps ability to pick up a breakfast bag + hot coffee from reception. Location was excellent, having stayed many times before. Important for HK also is the fact you can usually get a taxi from outside the Hotel within a few minutes.

The location is great. It is right in the thick of the action. Bustling bars, restaurants and markets are all around it but you can walk (with a rolling suitcase) quite easily to or from Central and Hong Kong stations in 10 minutes or so. Our room on 18th floor had a nice view of the ICF tower. There is...

Easy access to the Airport express and MRT stations. Cafes and restaurants nearby. Fun neighborhood. Staff were very friendly and helpful giving suggestions and making recommendations. Bathroom privacy and counter area could be a cold cern for some

It's our first time to stay in a boutique hotel & it's a different experience. Love the charm of the street. Fruit stalls, lots of resto, convenient stores, queens road near by, Yung Kee resto near by. It's a different feeling. I would recommend it.

The hotel is in an excellent location - many attractions and restaurants are walking distance. It also has great wireless and the additional mobile device the hotel provides helped ensure that we had Internet wherever we went in Hong Kong. Loved the mobile Internet add-on as it made life much easier.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
