The room, located in a dingy building, is hardly enough for one person. approximately a 8x10 room which includes a bathroom. The lighting in that room is one 50 watt bulb. The rooms are infested with ants and other insects. They promise a host of services include basic toiletries and linen, none of which is provided until you insist repeatedly....

Had a very good stay. The room is very small, even for Hong Kong standards, but I was okay with that. The cleanliness and ventilation of the room are very good. Some flies in the bathroom, but no bugs or roaches, which are so common in Hong Kong. The staff only speaks Putonghua (Mandarin) and understands only most basic English...

Location is easy to find. It's at the Central of Mongkok. Very near to Mongkok MRT, about 5 mins walking distance. Area is quite clean and safe. We were given the same room as per stated in picture. When we arrived, no one at the reception that we have to wait a bit. The bed is sufficient for all of...

This accommodation is ideal for backpackers and budget travelers. DO NOT stay if you are on holidays or on a romantic break, it is not suitable. The reason why, is because if you are a backpacker is more likely that you will have your own travel towel and a sleep sheet, so you don't have to use theirs because they...

Everything fine- could be a but cheaper for that small room. Location was good, staff friendly, bed confortable, really small bathroom, WiFi worked well, Entrance not that easy to find. Our room was on the 12th floor- elevator took a long time because the building was crowded the most of the time. :)

My room was on the fourth floor, so it was pretty easy to take the stairs - no elevator issue for me. The building is pretty shabby, but lively. I was down the hall from a gym and a couple of cafes. Though the walk up the staircase doesn't inspire much confidence, the hallway and the room itself were much...

My husband and I stayed at HOmongkok hostel for 5 nights .Our room was one of the smallest double rooms I think. Basically, we had a bed between two walls and a tiny bathroom. Barely enough space to stand together at the same time. We also had a small window but it gives onto an air column. Positive : It...

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighborhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
