There are a few advantages of this place: The location. On the third floor of the building, in the heart of the shopping area, with the metro pretty close, a park within a walking distance. Very good stall with some delicious sui mai dumplings nearby, as well as the supermarket. The reception is 24/7, which they do not mention anywhere.... More

3 beds squeezed into a 7sq feet room, poor air conditioning, uncomfortable beds and stinking toilets. Rooms located on the other side of the hostel in a building were the hostel was not reponsible for. Nothing in this Comfort Hostel is comfortable to say the least.. Look further and thank me later

We supposed to stay for 3 nights ar Comfort Hostel in October 2016 but we left after the first night. Horrible room, smells like sewer in the bathroom, everything was old and dirty and it was very, very small. Don't go to this hostel if you like real 'comfort'.

Excellent location in a busy shopping area, less than 100 meters from Causeway Bay Station MRT. Efficient staff, somewhat flexible. I was upgraded from a 4 bed dorm to a three bed dorm with private bathroom. Very noisy, whether it is the street noise, noise from guests in the hallways or common room, or renovations in the building (impossible to... More

As many other reviewers have mentioned, this place is very much "you get what you pay for". Hong Kong is an expensive city and for people on a budget, it's difficult to find anything nicer than a youth hostel. We had a small room where only half of the electrical outlets worked but it didn't bother us too much because... More

It sounds like my experience may have been a little different than others - the wifi worked fine for me but the A/C did not. The room was very hot and stuffy, and there were quite a few bugs in the bathroom. The location was great but there was a sign in the building lobby about the hostel that was... More

When I read the hostel's bad reviews from various website, I was bit worried. But I couldn't do anything since I had already booked it (and my money couldn't be refunded) However my personal experience with Comfort Hostel was not that bad. I stayed in female dorm (3 beds) at 3rd fl which is same floor with receptionist desk, common... More

It's not a great place to be honest, poor rooms and bathrooms but it is central (slightly hard to find) and it is cheap. If that's what you want, then it does a job. wifi is ok and there is a common room.

Very good location although it can be a bit hard to find as it's in a building and there is no sign. I stayed in a double room by myself. It would be too small for two people! Very basic but I slept well. No breakfast!

The hostel is hard to find, it has freezing cold rooms, shower/toilet in-one which means the floor is always wet, really bad WIFI, full of cleaning products and stuff in the hallway, and a bit dirty! It is placed at the Fashion Walk, and very close to Causeway Bay metro, so it is easy to get around, and it is... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
