The two women who work there are absolute angels. The friendliest people I have ever met and very helpful and polite. They were always offering me coffee and helping with whatever small things I needed to take care of. Absolute delight to be around. The man less so, one night he came to my room aggressively knocking and demanding to... More

I paid about HKD180 per night for a single room with shared bathroom. Tiny room just about large enough for the bed and a desk. Despite the small size of the room, the walls are fairly solid and sound-proof, though you can still hear loud sounds from the corridor. There's a TV and air-con in each room too. Staff cleans... Nothing can complain. We will get what we pay. The staff are very nice. The room is small. The location is good and convince but i am not recommend for a girl who is solo traveler. Because the area of this hotel is quite dangerous ( just for my opinion).

Staying in the mansion is a trip everyone coming to HK should experience, and Apple is a solid choice to do so. Just like most places in HK, the rooms are tiny. Ours was in the middle so there was no window. Regardless, it was dark and quiet and the bed wasn't terrible, so we slept pretty well. The bathroom/shower... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Apple Hostel for 7 nights during our stay in HK. We read so many reviews about Chungking and were a bit hesitant of staying there but there is nothing to worry about!! You get hassled more outside of the building and if your backpackers you would've experienced a lot more hassle in other places.... More

This hostel is strategic because of its location at the Tsim Sha Tsui area. The place is small but private enough so you get a good night's rest after a long day of shopping :) What is great is that the staff is a "kabayan" so we felt right at home. Nica was warm and accommodating and she showed us... More

This budget hostel is a great place for those either transiting Hong Hong, or here for a few days. Located right in the middle of many restaurants and shops make it easy to grab a bite, and do some shopping at incredible prices. Signage from the road could be better as you must look up to locate the entry sign.... More

Chungking Mansions needs a little research before booking if you've never stayed there before. Crammed full of dodgy looking guesthouses, market stalls and moneychangers, it's a 'must do' for most backpackers. Having stayed at another guesthouse nine years previous, we booked back into the Chungking when we visited Hong Kong this year. Compared to other guesthouses, I thought the Apple... More

You should only be looking at this hotel if the alternative is a dorm style hostel. It pales in comparison in all respects except that you have your own room with a lock on the door. If you're on a budget and you don't like sleeping with strangers, this is an ok option, but otherwise go with the hostel The... More
