This is anexcellent hotel.Extremely friendly and professional staff. The Indian-inspired cuisine is also magnificent. This hotel with suberb vieuw deverses at least 5 stars. Definitly recommended and also very close to MTR which is an added plus. Eddy D
I have been staying here for quarantine a few times since last year. All staff here is professional and friendly. From check in until check out, all my experiences were great! I did appreciate front desk staff for their efficiency. Smooth and quick check in process. Our delivery also always arrived very fast. Food is never cold when receiving. I would like to give compliment to the operator Man Hon for my stay recently. There was some problems with the lighting . He always showed his caring and empathy to me. I really appreciated. Although we were always away home from one month during this pandemic time, east hotel always make us feel like home. Thank you very much for taking care for us.
The room is nice, clean and spacious enough. Well equipped with filtered tap water, nespresso machine and microwave. Mini bar fridge is just cool enough for chilling drinks. Full set toilet amenities. Unfortunately (I'm on the 12th floor 03) not nice view, looking at the housing building which it's very close distance. Can actually see into the apartments clearly and the residents can see into our room clearly. No privacy.
We had another very good staycation at East Hong Kong Hotel last month, reserved directly through the hotel website where we found best price and deal arrangement. Our stay was very similar to the past and everything went very smoothly from check-in, to meal and bar experience, to sleep quality through check-out. Rooms are modern, smartly configured, functional and spacious. Lighting, A/C, TV, wifi, safe, fridge, kettle, shower water pressure all worked just fine. Furnishing was as expected and importantly, the bed was very comfortable. Location is very good is you want to be near an MTR Station and have access to good restaurants, bars and shopping which are a plenty in the Tai Koo and Quarry Bay area. The hotel rooftop bar called Sugar offers incredible views of the harbour when sky conditions are favourable. We had a very good breakfast at Domain Cafe as well. Deliveroo and foodpanda can being meals from a wide range of eateries in the general vicinity. Overall, very little I can think of that would have improved our staycation at Hotel East last month. This is a good property for Hongkongers seeking a staycation in a nice neighbour area of Hong Kong.…
This is a quarantine hotel for aircrew and the lack of compassion, sympathy & duty of care towards crew mandated to quarantine is unacceptable. Personal exercise equipment is not delivered to their room, claiming it's overweight (without bothering to weigh it). However, if you 'reserve' one of the hotels' exercise equipment, the hotel has no issue delivering their own equipment....weight is no problem then $$$
Love from Australia! My great regards to Edmond, Lucas and Victor! Rooms have cool tech like soda water dispenser (my favourite, especially since my wife has me drinking 3L of water per day), smart curtains, smart lights... The gym is also honestly the best I've found in any hotel I've ever stayed in; and the best I've ever found anywhere in Hong Kong! Props to the designer! I would prefer a legitimate Olympic squat rack of course!
Our big thanks to Victor, Lucas and Edmond! Made us feel very welcome in both big and small groups. The rooms and technology are super modern, as well as the hotel location, amenities, and attached shopping!
I booked a room for my daughter to celebrate her birthday with friends. I was asked if this is a special occasion when making reservation direct at the hotel web. Of course I wrote birthday celebration. You asked, for a reason, right? I answered, for an expectation. It doesn't matter whether it's normal like a small birthday cake, or big like a feast or small like a greetings upon check-in. But there was nothing. Why asked then?
I have stayed in EAST last weekends, checked-in was smooth I need to say, but Sat was my birthday and I did not receive any room-upgrade, any fruit plate, not even a greeting word. when we got to the corner room, facility is old and even the water heater is broken and it BURNED MY HAND...I mentioned it to the guest service hotline and left to ate the dinner, and when we came back, I only got a new water heater and the extra quit has been dropped in the bed which pressed over my coat.....not any compensation gesture....unbelievable... Next morning when we went to eat breakfast at 1/F, service I can call super terrible, the lady wear a pony tail and in dress(which I recognize as waitress, unlike those in pants), when I stood next to her and waved my hand to call her nicely for enquiry, she just ignored us so obviously and I felt so embarrassed! In the end, it is another lady in pants came from bar counter far away and saved us, thanks her for telling us where we can get the milk. I just could not believe this stay is so horrible and I don't know if its related to that we speak mandarin. FOR the arrogant lady we met in the morning during 12/5, choose another career please if you don't devote urself in service industry.…
If u are looking for a quality staycation, I would highly recommend this one above Tai Koo MTR Station. You will be welcomed by a young team at the front desk. The check in time is reasonable and the staff are very helpful. Once you were in the room (I stayed on 22/F floor, seaview), you will be so relaxed. Maybe next time I should try the suite or room with a bath tub for more enjoyment. I went for some exercises before dinner and the gym staff were helpful. He explained the equipment to me patiently. We sweated and we went back the other morning as well. Dinner at Feast is highly recommended. Freshly shucked oysters and the crab legs were 2 of my favourites. I also tried quite some “made to order” hot dishes such as turkey rolls, clams cooked jn sake, pan seared scallops and they were all super yummy. For dessert, crème brûlée is something cannot be missed. I would also like to thank Helen and her team for her sincere hospitality and speedy service provided. We had a wonderful birthday celebration with top quality semi buffet dinner, which we all really enjoyed to the fullest. I will go back again soon for another staycation, and for sure will try different room type.…
