This hotel located about 10 minutes walk from nearest MTR. The room is clean and provides daily cleaning service. The staff are helpful. Sound insulation is a bit bad. The lower floors are already renovated while the higher floors rooms are a bit old. The WiFi is weak inside the room.

My husband and my son (16 years old) checked in to Oriental Lander Hotel in January 2012. We stayed there for 5 nights. We love the room so much although it is a bit small but I am happy that there have another smaller room for my son. The room and the bathroom are neat and clean. There is a place for us to put our luggages and bags too.

I like the room as when we walk in turning to the left is our room and turning to the right is my son's room and bathroom is facing the room entrance.

Another thing I am appreciate about the hotel is the staff there. They are helpful and very friendly. The location of the hotel is not too bad as it only takes about 10 minutes for us to reach MTR Station. It is very easy for us to get food nearby too.

I stayed here with my family as a transit hotel because we arrived 1 day ahead of our convention. Good for short stay, maybe 1 or 2 nights. The room is very small which i don't expect. Toilet/Bathroom is very small. Wifi connection is very weak.

If your staying for 1-3 nights and your not going to stay in the hotel, I think this will be enough already, just don't expect too much. Friendly staff, cheap hotel

Near to MTR Prince Edward exit C2

Booked for 4 days but left after 1 night and had to leave because of severe attack of the BED BUGSSS!!! Still after 8 days have marks from the bed bugs all over our bodies.
Booked for 3 in the room but had to move around in single file because of the tiny room size smaller than by 5 meter caravan.
NEVER AGAIN!! WORST HOTEL EVER! NEVER BELIEVE THE PHOTOS!

This was the second time I've stayed at the hotel, the last time being two years ago. When it comes to hotels in Hong Kong, what is most important to me is cleanliness. I've stayed in several hotels, hostels and apartments in HK, and the thing that always bothers me is the toilet shower combination and in turn the cleanliness of the bathroom. The Oriental Lander meets the requirement of having a shower separate of the toilet. I know this sounds weird thing to find important, but not all hotels at 3* or better have this in Hong Kong. The hotel rooms are rather new and well maintained, so cleanliness is not an issue.

All rooms in Hong Kong are going to be smaller than you expect, but my wife and I managed to make use of the space without issue. Wouldn't be able to fit anymore than two people, but that's not expected from a single room.

The location is also quite good, assuming you know your way around Hong Kong. Hotels in Kowloon are typically more expensive than the island as most tourists come for the TST and Mong Kok areas. With that in mind, I chose to stay in this hotel rather than one on the island. While the hotel isn't on nathan road, it is still walking distance from a subway station, even with luggage. I think this makes for good value in comparison to many other hotels based on the price differential. It's also located near a good dim sum place and a few bakeries probably frequented only by locals, which made for great prices.

The hotel has also improved since my last visit, as they now have wifi internet in the rooms where they only had wired previously. There is also a cafe on the second floor with reasonable prices, though I didn't have a chance to eat there.

Overall, if you are willing to spend for a 4* hotel in HK, then go for it, but if you are staying for over a week and are looking at 3*s then the location shouldn't be an issue and you can't beat the value as it will be nicer than a lot of others at the level that you will pay more for.

yesterday, the room in 11/F is so noisy, I ask receptionist too help me, he tell me that he is busy in doing reservation, reception job and that noise can from the fan machine on the roof.

However, he still say he can use his money to pay for the noisy interruption and don't want to give any trouble to manager and boss. I apprenticate that.

I am happy that staff can use his own money to help the boss in the hotel to save money. If I am the HR, I will recruit him.

By the way, I am sorry that I will not stay in this hotel again as I find that this hotel is cheating the tourist money.

I visited this on the 26th of November, before I go I read the review of others in TA, we Wife and two teen aged Sons) travelled to the hotel by a taxi from the Airport it costed HK$ 235 (including 2 suitecases at the boot)
Checkin was lightning speed no hustle, I book it through Booking.com it was smooth and fine.Triple room cost for 3days was HK$3694 (total room bill).
Plus- 1.check in/out was fast 2. room was clean 3.easy access to MTR and Markets, 4. Some reasonable local restaurants are near by.4. Luggages can be left after checkout free of charge.
Minus- 1.Room are very small (I was told by TA before I go and it was expected) 2. No Restaurents in the Hotel 3.hotel surroundings are ot condusive if you going for shopping and sight seeing no problem. 4.reception girls speak very little English, They can't explain anything because of lack of English knowledge. (They are kind and trying to help)
Comments- It is a budget hotel If your partner or companion expects a plush and pampering this not a place. If you are concern with your budget this place is OK Roome are VERY SMALL BE AWARE.
Room Tip Triple Room I think bit roomy than the others, we were at 8th Floor Road facing it was OK
I may go again

Pros:
1. Friendly reception.
2. The MTR is not too far away. 5-7 min walk away.
3. The neighborhood is quiet, so don't worry of noise from cars or rowdy crowds.
4. The room size is small, but unlikely to trigger claustrophobia. The bathroom is real tiny though. The water pressure is good.
5. The room is clean. Mattress is decent.
6. They clean your room and change the towels every day.
7. Proximity to convenience stores and restaurants.
8. They have a good number of electrical sockets, but unfortunately placed at places far from the bed.

Cons:
1. The rooms are packed so close together that if someone knocks on the door next door, you'd think they're knocking on your door.
2. They don't provide coffee in the room. Just some black tea in sachets.
3. You've got to buy the water they place in the room. Not pricey though (HKD 4) but I wish they could at least provide this basic necessity FOC as in other hotels.
4. The pillows are so thin they provide practically zero support for the head. Ended up putting clothes under the pillows to prop them up.
5. The no of TV channels are disappointing.

I must be specific when I say that it is a 3star hotel but an HK standard Accomodation.. meaning that do not expect it to have a big room because calling it small is even an understatement... but.. tiny is a more accurate description.. and we stayed in a triple room already! sooooo...tiny!

the one thing we definitely like about our 4night stay here is that the room was well maintained and really spotless! complementary water daily, coffee/tea facilities filled up minimfridge is proper... and i'd like to mention it again that its really really clean... which is rare in hotels like this... clean sheets, proper pillow, bath towel, tea cups, carpet, and even the rug is white as snow...

the main highlight is the unexpected lunch we had here...
the chef was amazingly good... the curry was amazing, a combinof chinese and indian curry...

The first thing that would greet you as soon as you enter the Lobby is the amazing aroma thats so unique and refreshing.

The Hotel Rooms are well equipped but must I add , very small !

This is ideal for Short but Comfortable Stays ... The Hotel is located in Mong Kok and is very near to the market Places and food joints and Massage Joints.

The inroom facilities are excellent and overall services are good.

Getting a Taxi may be a little work involved but if you love to walk , the Metro is nearby ...

I don't believe they have any breakfasts as long as I remember. For slippers, I don't recall replacement of them daily, however you may place a special request. :). Or pay 50 dollars more and go to the Lodgeood which is a four star and feels like a five star. It's close to you and they provide slippers daily but no breakfast. It's 2 blocks away and much closer to A2 entrance for Kowloon station
