The Upper House came highly recommended by a friend who had spent his birthday there. Hence, the expectation was set at the highest level. The staff placed a lot of efforts into making you feel welcome before arrival - with e-mail correspondences on preferences, special occasion celebrations, dining bookings etc. The check-in was a smooth process, and there was no waiting. Sebastien was kind enough to walk me to my room directly and gave me a room tour. He was considerate enough to leave the paperwork for signing at the room which was very thoughtful. All queries I had regarding the room / activities to do during staycation was answered for me before I even have to ask, which is something truly amazing. Sebastien and his team was very kind and presented me with a welcome drink voucher together with a small sweet plate to celebrate my birthday. The room itself was very spacious with views of both the views of the peak and the victoria harbour in one go. Sebastian has kindly reminded me that the curtains needs to remain closed during the night as neighbors were able to see through the tinted windows. The bathroom a room in itself. It housed a gigantic bathtub in the middle of the room and had amazing views from it triangular windows. The room service is impeccable. The "maxi" bar is an unlimited bar, and staff was able to re-fill it within a 3 min gap from a phone call. This was amazing time which even 5-star hotels are unable to deliver. The amenities are what you would've expected from a top notch hotel, if not better (even the bathrobes are made from soft materials). The bed itself was a super king size bed that can fit 3 adults and the house made a special touch of adding extra soft bedding cover to me feel like sleeping on top of a cloud. Salisterra, the new restaurant on the top floor, had reserved one of the best table facing the victoria harbour for my birthday dinner, with our favorite bartender still serving the restaurant after its renovation this year. On top of all these services, the housekeeping staff even managed to clean up my room and made sure the curtains were rolled down by the time I returned from dinner, even refilling my bottled water supplies. The only thing that was inconvenient was the electrical socket next to the bedside, which was too hard to reach.

Thanks again Sebastien, our guest experience manager, to greet us again with the welcoming champagne, for my second stay at Upper House. Room is spacious with nice mountain view, being upgraded to the 80 studio type. I wish next time will be a suite if possible. :-P The new restaurant Salisterra has nice food and good view, enjoyed the delicious breakfast there. I highly recommend the hotel for staycation as it provides the guests with relaxing environment and courteous service. The stay at Upper House would never be disappointed.

The Upper House has always lived up to our expectations and exceeded them. We have been staying at this stunning hotel - "our home away from home' - a few times since it opened. On this occasion, to be honest, we were initially booked into another 5 star hotel for our stay, This was because we believed that there was still renovations underway at the Upper House. We had a few issues with the other hotel, and by chance we re-visited the Upper House to see if it was available. My husband coincidentally met the General Manager, Kristina, as he walked into the hotel for a 'look see'. Kristina was so friendly and showed him around the finished renovations of the new restaurant 'Salisterra' (which looks great BTW). We immediately changed our reservations and we are so happy we did. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a room upgrade, 2 glasses of bubbly and many welcoming smiles. Paul, Assistant Director of Guest Experience, made us feel immediately at home and welcomed back. Our stay was effortless. We had lunch and drinks at the new restaurant, and the food was exceptional. The Langoustine Ravioli was especially memorable. Cant recommend the Upper House enough, and we hope to be back for another great stay.

I booked The Upper House for a relaxing time-out from my busy schedule and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I was upgraded to a suite and upon arrival I found so many bespoke amenities to make my stay super relaxing. The infamous bathtub didn't disappoint - I could have stayed in there all day! Was also lucky enough to be one of the first to try their new restaurant Salisterra - service was top notch and I highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert. If you're into your fitness, try to book into a super exclusive class in one of the suites - one of the best workouts I've ever done and the silver lining was I got to go back to my room and soak in the tub :) The service is really personalised and warm - even though I've been coming to The Upper House over the years for various events, dinners etc, my staycay just elevated the hotel for me into a league of its own. Highly recommend!
