The Upper House is a highly individualized small luxury hotel designed by Hong Kong architect Andre Fu. The hotel’s 117 rooms (including 21 suites and 2 penthouses) start at 730sq ft – the largest in Hong Kong. They feature wonderfully spacious bathrooms and dressing areas, and offer either scenic harbour or island views. Calming and contemporary, the rooms are designed to provide a sense of relaxation, warmth and understated luxury.

The upper house is one of my favourite high end hotel in Hong Kong. Love the subtle, contemporary and minimalist design all over the hotel. There’s hardly any rush zone from lobby to escalator, from lift to room - we truly enjoyed the exclusiveness and calm vibe the hotel offers. The standard room we stayed in was fantastically spacious, featuring the gorgeous harbour view. We love the cleanliness and minimalist style which provides a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The huge standalone bathroom, comes also with the awesome view, is no-doubt the highlight of the stay. We enjoyed very much the soaking tub next to such incredible skyline. We also appreciate the great hospitality of hotel staff. We had trouble connecting hdmi (which we later found was our fault), thanks to Patrick the hotel staff who speared no effort helping us (he even brought us an extra TV). Special thanks to Lewis, Guest Experience Manager, for the welcoming drinks and snacks. We had a really wonderful stay (thank you hubby for the sweet weekend escape).

My husband and I stayed at The Upper House to celebrate our anniversary this summer and we were surprised with an upgrade to the Upper Suite. From the beginning of the staycation where we were shown the gorgeous and spacious suite to the end when we enjoyed a decadent breakfast at Cafe Grey Deluxe, the entire experience was a memorable one. We enjoyed complimentary drinks and thoughtful perks such as unlimited popcorn and access to movies. The staff was extremely attentive, especially Lewis from guest experience who made us feel at home with personal touches along the way.

Wonderful experience in 2019 on my last birthday. The Upper House HK team took care of every single detail with great care, surprising me upon my arrival. The room, besides being very cozy, had an incredible view! I found in the hotel a very welcoming and reserved atmosphere, perfect for relaxing even during a trip. Cafe Gray Deluxe (at the hotel's rooftop) is the perfect setting to have a drink at the end of the day and watch the city lights. The breakfast service chosen ‘a la carte’ menu is another highlight of the hotel. I can't wait to return.

I had planned to have a proposal in The Upper House HKG. Before the stay, I had informed the hotel my intention via email. The contact person Matthew was very helpful to ensure all the procedures user-friendly, especially during this pandemic period, his recommendations helped me to make the plan smooth (i.e. allow my friends to assist the room decoration, offer us flexibility of checkin/checkout time). When we arrived, their staff, K, greeted us and showed us around thoroughly. His great hospitality gave us a very good impression of the hotel and rooms. With the hotel staffs' help, my proposal went smoothly and we had a memorable and wonderful night in The Upper House. Before we checked out, they gave us a beautiful photo frame as a gift to record this unforgettable experience. Thank you again to all the staffs and we would definitely get back in the future sometimes!

I booked Upper House for a 2 night staycation plan, but ended up staying for 4 nights (that’s how much I loved it). The suite (upgraded) was super spacious with a very homey feeling and the view.... just amazing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely want to do it again.
