OK, we didn’t pay too much per room per night and the rule that you get what you pay for seems to be true. So this review is in that context. Firstly, I was allocated room 11 on floor 18. If you get allocated room 11 don’t accept it, the window is tiny and the room feels like a prison cell. The rooms are ok and the best features are the clean and comfortable bed and the water pressure in the shower. The shower is not large but is sufficient but note that the water takes quite a while to heat up. The room has a TV but the choice of channels is limited, no major international stations to watch. There’s a Bluetooth clock/speaker, Aircon, minibar fridge (empty), closet, safe, tea/coffee/kettle (supplies are limited so you may want to bring your own). A few of points to note:- The hotel is close to a major traffic junction and so if you are sensitive to noise at night beware. There is major construction going on next to the hotel currently with large cranes which operate from around 8am to 6pm on weekdays, I’m not sure about weekends. The hotel seems to charge for everything considered ‘extra’. Currently all bars and restaurants in Hong Kong close at 6pm due to coronavirus restrictions so if you’re on a staycation you need to order a food delivery. If you want the hotel to to provide a plate, knife/fork, wine glass etc, the hotel will charge you. If you want more water bottles than the daily allocation the hotel will charge you. The amounts are not significant but the principle of charging for everything extra is very annoying and outdated; where’s the spirit of customer service in this hotel? It doesn’t seem to exist here. All in all underwhelmed, nothing really strongly positive to report here.

This hotel has an inviting lobby with friendly and courteous staff. The room is nicely decorated. The beds are firm and comfortable and the bathroom is of a decent size. However, with two twin beds taking up most of the area, the "desk" is reduced to just a coffee table with an accompanying short chair. If you intend to do some work on your laptop, this setup would be very uncomfortable. Also, since the location of the hotel is isolated, count on at least 5 minutes of walking to reach any restaurants or shops. If these caveats are of no concern, then the hotel is very good.

Hotel is nice room, make sure you get the deluxe, but book last minute as the rooms are so much cheaper. we booked it a few months ahead for $110AUD per room but a week earlier its like $75 then a day before it's like $55 per room, crazy cheap if you don't mind being next to cemetery. Concierge was helpful and nice, check in staff was not friendly but i think its fine for a cheap hotel.

I came downstairs to ask if they had a convertor and the front desk told me they didn’t have any. I asked if there was a place I could walk to buy one and he said maybe 7-11 not really giving me a real answer. (I know I am not the first person to ask this.) I decided I’d just try later.
The location is a bit isolated so I wanted to order some room service, but my phone in my room wasn’t working. I went downstairs to ask about my phone, and the same person tried to explain to me how to use the phone like I’ve never used a phone before. After finally convincing him that I think the phone wasn’t working, he said he’d send someone up. After an hour I came back downstairs and he said he would send someone up AGAIN. After 2 different people came up (the first one really said , I’ll show you how to use a phone in Cantonese to me) the repair guy told me he couldn’t fix it and would come back tomorrow. I had to go downstairs and try to just order food there. He then said the kitchen just closed, and that I should just download a food delivery app. I explained that it kind of sucks to have a room that doenst have a working phone and that if he could just help me and he said sorry I can’t do anything.
I’ve worked in hospitality and know it’s a painful job sometimes but the very least they could have done is to offer me another room, maybe breakfast or even TRY to help me search for a place that I could buy a charger from. I ended up walking a few KM to buy cup o nooodles to eat for dinner (no convertors at 7-11 btw)

We stayed in your hotel during 2 - 4 Dec, the service level was impeccable. The check in process by Aaron was so smooth and seamless. His welcome is very warmly that explained the hotel facilities and introduced some travel recommendations in detail so we have a better understanding to visit around Hong Kong. The design and experience of the room also very nice. Although the view of the room is the city view, but also have a different feeling, looking at the streets of Hong Kong is also a kind of enjoyment. The quality of the bath supplies in the room is also very good, and I can see that the hotel is very careful on the facilities configuration and personal service! If I back to Hong Kong in the future , I will definitely choose to stay in the Emperor hotel again. Overall my stay was fabulous! Thank you Aaron. Appreciated for your effort!

We had an incredibly pleasant stay at The Emperor. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, providing a peaceful and well-equipped environment, making it a standout choice. The room was also spacious for two people, with a beautifully designed bathroom and excellent water pressure in the shower.
The staff were exceptionally polite and responsive to our needs, ensuring our comfort at all times. I even had a friendly encounter with the housekeeper, which added a personal touch to our stay.
One of the highlights of our visit was The Crown, the hotel's rooftop bar. It provided fantastic drinks and stunning views, best for relaxing and photo shooting, a memorable experience indeed.
The hotel's location is nice, with easy walking access to downtown and you will get everything you need out there. We will definitely return again.

This is my first time to stay at the emperor hotel due to the businessin Hong Kong island. I have to say thank you to the front desk staffs especially the Assistant Manager - Aaron. There were many peoplewaiting for checking in when I wasarrived at the hotel lobby. Aaron very nice to gave me a warm welcome and mentioned sorry to keep me waiting in the long queue. I was so surprised that Aaron offer me a free upgrade for my rooms and he listened patiently to my inquiries and answered them in detail one by one. He also gave me his business card and said that if I needed any help, I could contact him at any time. I think this is the professional in hospitality, it makes me feel the warmth of home. Lastly, please allow me to say thank you Aaron and your friendly front desk team again.

I stayed at The Emperor Hotel for three nights. I arrived early due to an early flight to Hong Kong, and I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the manager, Sanny. He offered me an early check-in, and Sanny’s warm and friendly approach made me feel very welcome.
Another pleasant surprise was the exceptional service provided by Amber. She gave me a wealth of sightseeing information, which added value to my stay. The breakfast was also quite good.
However, my only complaint is that the room was a bit small, which was somewhat challenging as I had four large suitcases. Nevertheless, I understand that this is a common issue in many Hong Kong hotels due to the limited space in the city.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and am definitely planning to stay here again in the future.”

These past few years can be indeed described as ‘turbulent’ for most people living in Hong Kong. I have been a regular guest at this hotel during this very unusual time when norms such as leisure traveling became an almost unreachable luxury.
Weekend getaways, as a result, is a substitute of ritual traveling and also act as safe haven for the currently stressful environment of the Hong Kong society.
I must say, I have been well taken care of, from the efficiency of the front desk operation, the friendliness of the F&B staffs at breakfast time who caters to my specific needs and the house keeping department, always equipped with ample supplies in my room to ensure my weekend getaways are stress free experience.
Of special mentioning, Mr. Sanny Chan from the front office, provides absolutely the best of service, his talent of problem solving skills, ranks first class in hotel industry and contributes to one of the main reasons I decided to be a returning guest on such a regular basis.
