Did not even get to stay in the hotel, but am giving a poor rating due to their inflexibility. Due to the virus, we were requesting to have our trip refunded or rescheduled. We understand the policies, but we were hoping for their understanding and consideration especially when we are risking our health. They were not very helpful, which was very disappointing since we were very excited for our trip. Maybe look for another hotel which is more helpful.
The hotel is located on the upper floors of the building in the corner of Lockhart and Marsh roads, there are entrances from both roads. A11 bus stops are nearby for arrival ( Hennesy Road) and departure (Gloucester Road).Tram stop is a block away in Hennesy Road, nearest MTR exit from Causeway Bay is just a few minutes walk away. Around the area are lots of restaurants. The room was okay, it was small, 14 sq mtrs as described. It was clean, bed was comfortable, there was a desk just by the window and adequate room lighting. Bathroom had adequate space, toiletries were provided and towels, but no hand towels. Location was excellent and staffs were friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Found this was a great location - 5 minutes from boat crossing to Kowloon, about 30 minutes walk to the Peak tram, 40 minutes walk to train station - we were there to see Hong Kong.... walking was ideal. Plenty of restaurants within the area.... Rooms were clean, nicely decorated and we found for 3 nights the size was alright. Staff spoke good English, pleasant although reserved. We left something in the safe, after a bit of emailing the Hotel had it transferred to us, which we really appreciated..... surprised however and so was our bank by proposed charges to do a bank transfer??? Especially given that Hong Kong is such a financial centre- however our mistake and they were helpful.
It is called mini hotel, so small room. But the staff in the front desk during check out has very poorly manners. The lay out is very inconvenient. The check out time is at 11am which is way too early and they will LOCK YOUR DOOR. Me personally will not think about using this hotel again.
Hotel Ease is in a decent location in Wan Chai but it is closer to Causeway Bay. About .7 from the MTR but very lively area. Room is very very small. Which I heard is normal in Hong Kong so I wasn't too surprised but the bathroom was actually pretty big and nice so I appreciated that. Desk: The notes said there is a desk, there really isn't. The "desk" held the coffee and hot water boiler so I could not call it a desk. You will not be able to work on it, also there is no where to sit. Bed: hard and not comfy. No fitted sheets. They provided two new bottles of water daily so that was nice. STRONG Negative: I used the bath towels to remove my make up AFTER I showered which I always do. I already showered and washed my face but a bit got on the towels. They changed me $39.77 USD to laundered the towels. This is absolutely insane. I was so scared to dirty any of their previous towels or bedding or sheets afterwards.…
