5 minutes walk from MTR station and not far from several bus stations. Room is clean. Decent size (Hong Kong standard) for 3 people: 2 single size plus 1 pull out bed. Beds are comfortable. We stayed over a week and room was cleaned daily (sheets/towels are changed upon request). TV, hot water boiler, plus a water jug for guests to fill up water on 2nd floor. 2nd floor terrace allows guests to get some fresh air, coffee and hot & cold water machines are available all time. mini croissants or cup cakes are served free of charge in the morning. That’s a nice touch especially when you’re rushing out in the morning and just want to grab a quick bite. Front desks staff are nice, and the cleaning staff for our room was super nice.

A neat hotel suits travelers who want to stay near Southeast Hong Kong. I stayed there for two nights, and the night market around the hotel provided good food for me.

I had decided to stay here on a last minute reservation which was done through their website. I had wanted to book for two nights, but it seemed the system didn't find a room for two nights, so I just booked for one and figured my second night would just be a different one. Luckily, the staff was able to keep my room though I was getting mixed messages between the night staff and the morning staff.
The room itself was a double room called an "iPlus Premier Family". The bed setup is weirdly unique, with one bed facing the door and the other facing the TV. A empty glass water bottle was provided in the room for filling up water on the second floor, which was slightly inconvenient having to go up and down for a sip. Also on the second floor was and small exercise area, outdoor seating arrangements, and a washer/dryer which accepted tokens from the first floor.
The bed was comfortable, and the AC worked well. Interestingly enough, the bathroom door doubles as a shower door. The toothbrush was a wooden type and came with a charcoaled flavor toothpaste tablet. Outside there were a few breakfast places to try, and it was very close to the MTA and bus routes. All in all, a decent stay.

I was set to give this hotel a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, I had a rather unpleasant experience towards the end. First of all, if you are looking for a modest quarantine hotel for your arrival in Hong Kong, you may want to consider this hotel. The rooms are definitely not the Marriott, but they are not too cramped either. There is enough floor space for you to pace around or even exercise. The room's design, with its big windows, high ceiling, and carpet-less tiles, and white walls also makes the experience less gloomy and depressing. The meals for most part are satisfactory. Dinners often come with pastries and fresh fruit. Breakfast meals however leave much to be desired. The WiFi is also exceptionally fast and I was able to make conference calls and have meetings without any problem.

A major shortcoming of the hotel however is in its SERVICE. On my last night, the staff forgot to put utensils inside my meal pack. I called the receptionist and he said that they would deliver the spoon and fork - they never came and I had to find a creative way to eat (tearing the paper cup and shaping it into a spoon). An earlier incident shows that this lack of care seems consistent. A few days earlier, I ordered a shaving kit via their TripWallet platform. Because I needed to purchase a few more items to reach the minimum amount, I also ordered bananas and chips. The orders came more than 12 hours later and the bananas were unripe (they never ripened until after I checked out). The staff seems to be content and satisfied with delivering the bare minimum (delivering meals, collecting trash) but when asked for some extra comfort, they delay or are nowhere to be found.

Overall, my stay was still generally a pleasant one would still recommend this hotel for the amenities they have provided. My advice to future guests would be to limit your contact with the staff for your needs as there is a big chance that they will not be attended to. Best to order through FoodPanda or Deliveroo for your groceries or have a friend bring these items to you. I do hope the management finds a way to correct this.

This is the second time I have stayed at the iclub To Kwa Wan Hotel. This time I was a little disappointed by the cleaning services. We had to complain to reception that the cleaning ladies did not clean the floor, did not empty the trash bins, did not take away and replace the used, dirty glasses and had to be reminded to change the bed sheets and pillow cases after 2 nights. In addition, the air conditioning could not be controlled so that the room temperature was at a constant 18 degrees C, in other words freezing. We were then provided with an electric heater. It seems that we were not the only ones with the ac problem, as there were several heaters waiting to be distributed at reception.
It was not easy to communicate with the cleaning staff or the staff in the breakfast lounge as their level of English was non existent. This is not one expects of a so-called 4 star, international hotel.
For the price we paid for the room I had expected a better level of service.

I thought about it for a day, but I still feel unhappy. I don’t want any more customers to be treated so poorly. I booked a one-night stay at iclub To Kwa Wan Hotel online from October 8th to October 9th, and for a fee, I can delay check-out until 9pm on October 9th. All payments have been made online. Due to the typhoon signal No. 9 on October 8, I was unable to check in on October 8. By 1pm on October 9th, I went to the hotel, and the front desk clerk told me that since there was no check-in on October 8th, my booking had been cancelled. If you want to stay, you have to compare money.
If I check out at 11am on October 9th, I understand your suggestion of canceling the booking, but my BOOKING is at 9pm plus a surcharge. In extreme cases, I believe that normal hotels will be flexible, but the front desk staff only He said he was a newcomer and asked for his last name, but he refused to tell me. The front desk clerk wanted to ask the reservations department, and then asked me to call and ask myself. However, the reservations clerk didn't blame him and cut my line. If the front desk staff doesn't know how to deal with it, he can leave it to his boss to decide, but he doesn't want to call and ask for advice. After that, there was even more trouble. It was my fault! It was me who caused the trouble.
After that, he finally asked his boss and took his mobile phone to the door, but it didn't return to its place after a long time. I believe he was avoiding it. Judging from his appearance, he didn't look young, but he said that he was a newcomer, but he was a newcomer. If you have something you don't understand, ask your boss for instructions instead of running away.
The other front desk clerk who had been sitting next to me couldn't help it. He said that he would go outside to check what was going on, and then come back to help me move the room.
This colleague said that it was a PART TIME that day and it was not convenient to intervene, but he couldn't help but intervene after that. Therefore, being a "newcomer" was too outrageous - making a fuss about guests, asking customers to trouble him, not handling things, and just running away.
Please ask him to come back to chase guests? Please your management should pay attention to the unnamed newcomer and the reservation department chole who cut the guest line. The bad apple can make a company run.
I will never stay in your hotel group again.

The room is clean with an air purifier, and the cleaning staff is prompt a fixing up the room each day. It was a pleasant stay for me.

It was a pleasure staying in this hotel during my 41 days off and on in this hotel. Although the square footage for the room is small compared to other hotels I have been with, the design and cleanliness is above average of those with higher rated ones. The location is also with convenience public transit, market, shops and restaurants access.

On my 21st day and therefore the last evening in the iclub Ma Tau Wai Hotel I’d like to share my experience:

First of all, probably nobody sees a 21 day look up as a vacation or something. Because of that, I‘d suggest to prepare a schedule or something that keeps you mental fit in these days. Sport, Yoga and working on my Thesis helped me a lot, while I have also deepened my language skills with duolingo in French, called many friends and my family and wrote a to do list I was able to finish (things like sort out pictures an contacts on the phone, call old friends, draw an idea of a project I want to start in December and so on). Just keep yourself busy.

Coming to the hotel:
First, I am from the hospitality myself and can imagine challanges the hotel is facing.

The rooms of the hotel have helped to stay happy, as these rooms are very bright, mainly keept simple and in white and had huge windows (sadly not possible to open).

The roomservice was good as well. If I have asked for something on the phone (like fresh sheets, towels, food) it was mostly brought to the room in less than 15 minutes (mostly right away).

The receptionists were always very friendly and have tried to do their best to make my stay comfortable!

The food was most of the time good! I have had the vegetarian option. It felt like it repeated itself in a 3-5 day cycle, but this could also be me, as I am not used to have asian cusine all the time. Only one time I was unhappy, as I have ordered a grouper from the menu twice. The first time it was really delivious, pan seared, fresh and also the veggies were seasoned great! So I decided to order it again 4 days later but then I was very jnsatisfied as it was covered in dough, soaky and the veggies weren’t cooked through.

Lastly, I want to mention, that the hotel gives you a 1.500$ credit when checking in for their a la carte menu, snacks and drinks and useful things (I have ordered a yoga mat and a yoga cube)

Thank you Iclub!

Stayed for a 3-day quarantine. The first day left me traumatized. I was finishing my dinner when I noticed a giant disgusting cockroach crawling up from the outlet insert in the table. The service table left my call on "we will call you later" multiple times until I finally broke down completely and had a crying tantrum (and saw the cockroach again and accidentally screamed in the ear of the operator) on the phone at 2 am. Only then they contacted the health department and eventually relocated me to a different room. The food isn't too bad but my request for a vegetarian menu was ignored completely. The new room was good enough, they placed me in a room for the handicapped so it had some extra floor area.
I don't recommend a hotel that leaves cleanliness issues like pests unattended. If you have already booked a room and cannot change then I wish you better luck than me receiving a clean room.
