The booking site said this was a four-star hotel. I miss read it as it should've been a -4 star hotel. The elevators only work part of the time. The room phone was not working. The closet door mirror was missing. The bathroom equipment was hanging off the wall. The toilet had what appeared to be dried urine. Not a pleasant... More

It's not really a hotel - it's more like a boarding house. The small rooms are on the middle floors of a tower block, sandwiched in between karaoke, bar, mah jong establishments etc. The free wifi is terrible. In/out all the time. The bed is hard and covered with 2 thin sheets. The TV had 2 channels, both in Chinese.... More

The hotel is pathetic, right from the lobby. When you enter there's no reception, noone to receive or guide, no lobby. Entrance has a wierd smell. You have to figure out where the lobby is. Rooms are very small. pictures are very deceiving. They start torturing you from 10.30 for checkout.

Small rooms with hard mattress. Better to pay a bit more to have a better stay. No breakfast provided but there are many affordable eating places nearby.Location ok with walking distance to shops. Still using the traditional key to open room door where others have already upgraded to access cards. It is ok if you just want some place to... More

Good price and value. Heart of party district. Hotel is located on high floors so the view is amazing. Staff is pretty unfriendly tho. Anyway we are not spoiled kids with crazy demands so we enjoyed every minute in this hotel. Anyway who wants to sleep in HK? Stop complaining and try Hong Kong's nightlife ;)

Price was somewhat decent, rooms are filthy, the place smells and the customer service is HORRIBLE!! After check out while waiting in the ground floor lobby we were verbally assulted by one of the staff. I had put my sore feet on my luggage while waiting for another person in our party. The hotel door man came over and proceeded... More

This hotel really should be a one star hotel. The staff are polite but this is not enough when everything smells soooo bad. The rooms are not that clean as its an old hotel and the beds are hard as rock. I did read the bad critics but did not take it too seriously. HK is expensive but it is... More

Although it is a budget hotel, the services are deplorable. The staff are very rude, unfriendly and do not bother about guests! we had to carry our own luggage and was rudely told by the "bell boy" that he was not paid to carry our luggage and that it was not his job! It is located walking distance from underground... More

We stayed there for a couple of days in January 2016. We were told that this was like the coldest weather for the last 60 years. Even though I have asked for the extra blanket, the first night was freezing. The wind was going through the windows as well. The Internet was not so stable. Oh, and you can actually... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
