Also the temple streetnight market is just 5min walk. The hotel staff was not very friendly. The road that leads to the hotel was stinky. But if you are just... More

Had to stay here as part of the 'China on a shoestring' tour and it's the most uncomfortable hotel I've even been to. The bed is so hard it's like sleeping on concrete, it might actually be more comfortable to sleep on the floor. Tried to ask the reception for extra bedding but they dismissed me saying they don't have... More

Stayed here at the end of a G Adventures tour and was so shocked by the hard beds! There was a rollout futon style extra bed in the room so sleep on that instead! Good location, the main street, Nathan Road is a 5 min walk away and it's very close to the night market.

We had booked to stay for three nights. Our flights were delayed due to the China airlines flights, which meant we could no longer use our booking. Although this was a non refundable booking, the hotel very generously decided to not charge us, given the circumstances. Excellent customer service, and we were highly grateful, given the stress of flights being... More

The hotel is located right directly near Austin station but you need to make sure you get out of the right exit. The other mtr station nearby is Jordan station, but beware! You will need to walk quite a bit from Jordan station and Hong Kong roads aren't exactly visitor-friendly. My family and I got lost several times trying to... More

The Hotel is near to MRT station which just need around 3 mins walk. Besides that, it also near to temple street. So far our experience from the reception is good. But one thing is their mattress are hard.

Place is spacious and comfortable when you are comparing with other Hong Kong hotels. Unfortunately, services are really depending on your luck to see who you meet with at the desk! Ask for non-smoking level as well as non-smoking room if you are with your little ones.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, the people on the reception is really bad with what they do! there is only one guy smiling and answered our questions. the room was adequate but you cant turn down or turn off the AC, the shower is weirdly only going from very very hot to very very cold... We booked two family rooms, good room size. Our shower drainer was blocked and only got fixed on second day. No wifi access for 3 days inside the room. Travel with young & older kids, I do not like the location.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
