The Cote Cour used to be a primary school before it was renovated into a hotel. I want to say it is about halfway into the hutong (not close to the roadside, a bit of walking to get out into the main roads on either side) so it's not easily accessible/findable by taxi but totally possible. Just remember landmarks and... More

The hotel is a renovated and converted courtyard residence in a quiet neighborhood of central Beijing. The space is beautiful and utterly charming, with a nice courtyard for lounging. The rooms are on the small side and on the rustic end of the spectrum but totally comfortable. Breakfast is delicious too. This is a great retreat if you are looking... More

We loved our stay at Hotel Cote Cour. From the beautiful courtyard setting, the rooftop eating, the walk in and out of the alley each morning (always something interesting going on), to the unique decor in each room, this was exactly what we were hoping to experience with our stay here. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you... More

A lovely, peaceful, relaxed hotel in an ancient hutong but away from the noise and bustle of Beijing. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the contrast of busy sightseeing during the day and relaxing on the rooftop terrace or in the beautiful courtyard on our return. Our room was really comfortable, overlooking the courtyard, and all the staff were... More

The room was a big enough to have 2 super single beds. It was all tastefully decorated. They have a little courtyard that you can chill out in. Breakfast is a mix of East & West cuisine, it was enough to fill you up before heading out. The staff were very helpful and spoke English fluently, there were no troubles... More

Stayed in this hutong hotel for 3 nights. Hotel has a romantic atmosphere and could stand with some minor improvements. The best part is staying in the hutong, which is safe and interesting to see, and by far the best part of staying here. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from one end of the hutong alley, 5 minutes... We stayed for three nights and loved it. The location requires you to walk in through an old inhabited Hutong district. Gives a real flavour of the old Beijing. You're invited into a lovely well maintained courtyard in the middle of the hotel rooms. Our two rooms were not beside each other, which was a disappointment. The children (three) were... More

This lovely hotel in a hutong alleyway is an oasis from the noisy, busy, often dirty streets of Beijing. The alleyway itself isn't fancy but provides an interesting glimpse of daily life in historic Beijing. Inside the courtyard hotel is another world. It's exceptionally clean and the setting is lovely. It's a real bonus to be able to sit out... More

This is a very cute boutique hotel, in a hutong style. Unlike a lot of hutong that is either too old or too busy, it is located in a nice quiet clean street. Bit difficult for taxi to drive in so they might drop you off at one of the end of the street, but the walk isn't too long... More

This is a lovely hotel located in a quiet hutong neighborhood. The courtyard and common spaces provide peaceful places to relax, the staff was delightful, and the food was excellent. Even the hotel cat, Bam Bam, added to the comfortable ambiance. Our rooms were a perfect blend of Chinese aesthetic and modern Western comfort. They're not particularly spacious, but are... More
