I just learned that they're remodeling a part of this place. I arrived this afternoon and loud drilling is going on just on the other side of the wall. I've been confused because the courtyard and the dining area doesn't resemble the photos. I asked the lady ("Jane") and with

This is not really a hotel. It is more like a few rooms with almost self-service facilities. There was no one at the desk when we arrived so just picked up a key (which was identified with our name) and let ourselves in. There was rarely anyone at the front desk and there was

Hello, the hotel is down a lane off the main street. Taxis can certainly get down the lane, but not all Beijing taxi drivers would know the exact location of the hotel. However, the hotel has its own vehicle and driver. Email or phone the hotel and they will arrange for the car to collect you and your bags and bring you to the door of the hotel. There is ample hot water. We were there is April when it was reasonably warm so we are not aware if there is ample heating. I would guess there is. There is certainly ample warm bedding!
