The hotel is really good, our room 937 was very comfortable. The room was really very clean, the carpet was pleasant to the feet, in general, all the little things were thought out for a sense of comfort. yes, maybe not everything is new, but all the appliances, light, shower work fine, everything is in good condition. I would like to mention the work of the hotel staff separately. They are people who are ready to help, spend time solving the guests' questions. I am especially grateful to Tina Tian - she helped my colleague and me book tickets to the zoo, navigate the map of Beijing, and in general answered our questions all the days that we were (from October 2 to October 5). Always a pleasure to stay at this property. The room was very clean, spacious and very nicely arranged. The food in the breakfast is well presented and offered a good selection and the service at the front desk was stellar. My complements to the front desk staff. Its a pity there is no HBO anymore.

Generally an excellent hotel with a good staff and well maintained facilities. Centrally located and easy to reach with several major subway stations closeby. Generally the treatment from the staff in the hotel is excellent, with an excellent lobby manager who welcomes guests, but some work needed in the health centre and during checkin to make guests feel welcome in the hotel.

Accor member and upgraded to premier floor upon arrival, hotel under Novotel management has been updated and is generally in good condition though some hotel and room features are clearly yesteryears, friendly staff and efficient service, but location makes the hotel a good choice for business and leisure travelers, only complantt being WiFi network was rather slow especially in the evening which needs to be upgraded badly for business travelers

The location of the hotel is very good. Shopping malls, restaurants, metro station, tourist attractions are all very close. The hotel is new and modern. When I checked in the swimming pool, the V9 restaurant was closed and renovation was going on which was not informed on it's website when I booked (I booked at least 20 days before). I knew all those after check in. Check-in was lengthy. You have to take your luggage to the room. It was very noisy in that part of the hotel where I was provided the room. After reporting those to the reception, they generously upgraded to the quieter section of the hotel and to a suite which was very generous of them. The hotel TV has foreign channels such as HBO, NGC, MTV and more which is good. The breakfast was okay and there were not many options. May be because their main restaurant was closed. They should have a dedicated doorman. Hotel is good, but can be improved.…

I was part of a tour group which started in Beijing. I was looking forward to exploring, but unfortunately got ill on the flight and wound up spending extra time in the hotel room. It was a good size, but I got a poor location in a back corner. The room was very dark all the time, and I wasn't able to adjust the air conditioning against the mid-July heat. The breakfast was very good, particularly the yogurt bar and many cereal options. FYI, there's a Walmart down the block (which I recommend for product comparison purposes alone) as well as a couple of malls within walking distance. I found the lobby very comfortable, and the front desk folks spoke enough English.

Nice modern hotel in a good location. Clean rooms and a very good breakfast. Front desk at times had people with poor to fair English but sometimes very good English. Nice lobby with store for souvenirs.

Pros: The hotel in itself is located next to a bunch of eateries as well as a few local landmarks (Forbidden City and the Drum Tower). It’s also a 10 minute walk or so to the nearest subway entrance which I highly recommend. Quiet and Clean. I thought the housekeeping did a fantastic job in restocking whatever we used in a timely manner. For example they provide two complimentary small bottles of water and each day they’d double up how many they’d provide for free. We had a nice room with a King sized bed that was very comfortable. We stayed for a week and so getting our laundry done was inevitable, I did most of my wardrobe for about 400 RMB/56 dollars. Left it in a bag on my bed when we left our room at 7:30am and it was back by 12pm. The Room Service Pizza wasn’t bad at all. There’s an ATM 0.1 miles away from you, next to the school and the library, inside the bank to the left you can’t miss it. Cons The weight room located on the 3rd floor, isn’t 24 hours I know it’s not a huge deal to some but when you’re fighting jet lag it’d be nice to tire yourself out. Also one day they failed to turn the lights on, before you ask, yes I did check the switches lol. The water choices out of the cooler were pee hot or lukewarm. Room Service isn’t close to 24 hours, plan your meals accordingly or you’ll be out searching for food late night (well worth it though) I never saw the sauna opened, or the game room for that matter. Our heat/ac unit didn’t work. It’d come on and run whenever it felt like it. The Internet is decent, don’t expect to stream anything outside of music, but you should be able to surf the web via bing.com not google. Also the WiFi signal wasn’t strong enough to use a VPN. You have 3 English speaking channels to choose from, BBC World, RT News, and HBO. I wish there was a little more people at the front desk that spoke fluent English. It can be difficult to know or understand the message they are trying to convey without playing charades. If you’re looking to be absolutely pampered this isn’t for you, but if you’re looking for a hotel in a solid location where you feel safe and around everything I’d stay here! PS- Bring a face mask or purchase one ASAP upon landing. I’m 6’2 210 and consider myself in above average shape/condition. In less than 48 hours I was spitting mucus intermittently as we walked around. We walked on average 20 miles a day to different locations and throughout points of interest. I thought my lungs could take it lol don’t be like me, it’s no fun turning the shower on hot and sitting down for 20 min ever morning to clear your sinuses!! To my fellow Black people, I experienced 0 racism in their establishment... weird to throw in I know but hey I wish more folks would let ya know and save you the potential headache/danger! …
