3 taxi drivers and they were all confused by the location of this hotel! it does feel like you've taken a wrong turn when the lane appears to be launderettes and groceries only but tucked away in the corner is The Temple. Beautiful setting, artwork (in the gallery and sculptures outside) & restaurant. Service was faultless, the food was very... More

I went to The Temple Restaurant (TRB) for my birthday. Firstly it was an added bonus that there is an art gallery here as well. There was a terrific photo exhibition on when we were there and id recommend arriving early for dinner to give a chance to see whatever is on for you. The food here is top class... More

I brought clients to The Temple Hotel for dinner and both Erica and Bianca went out of their way to make our evening the most memorable of our trip to Beijing. The food was excellent: a delicate Foie Gros, buttery pumpkin soup, the most tender herb crusted lamb, and a lemongrass panna cotta. I still have dreams about this meal.... More

Fantastic Hotel with excellent location and World Heritage Tag. The hotel has been meticulously restored and offers both history and chic art. We had lunch at the restaurant that offered a variety of choices and the staff was caring, knowledgeable and had attention to detail.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the main road tucked away into a narrow alley is the chicest boutique hotel in Beijing. I stayed at the Peony room which features a very comfortable Chinoiserie four poster bed and a eclectic mix of mid- century, contemporary and Chinese furniture. Breakfast is served al fresco with a view of the temple.... More

Just enjoyed a wonderful stay at this new boutique hotel. We stayed in the restored Monks Quarter and found it so serene with luxurious touches everywhere from the in room iPad to the Nespresso machine and wonderful shower. The staff were excellent and attentive to every detail and The Temple Restaurant (amazing) is on the grounds. Close to Jingshan Park... More

A geniune Budist temple is the setting for one of the best hotels I have been in in terms of authentic experience and unique setting. Sleep in the quarters of budist monks and have a chance to walk to the forbidden city. The restaurant is one best in the city and gives you a chance to escape from the Chinnesse... More

I read about the Temple Hotel in the Wall Street Journal and was fascinated. A Ming dynasty temple, converted to a television factory during the Cultural Revolution, had fallen into disuse and decrepitude. Discovered by a man with a vision to restore it. And restore it he did. The Temple Hotel is not easy to find - our driver, bringing... More

The Temple is simply amazing with attention to detail being paramount. Our hosts were welcoming and informative. Our room was huge and very comfortable with the highest quality furnishings and bedding. The actual temple is a wonderful space to do yoga or sit quietly and reflect. The court yard provides a buffer to the outside neighborhood. Our breakfast was delivered... More

Temple Restaurant Beijing (TRB) is lauded as one of the best fine dining experiences in Beijing and The Temple Hotel’s art space, The Gallery, regularly presents exhibitions by world’s most interesting artists, both local and international.
