I've been to this location a few times within the past few years. There is a reason why I select this hotel. It did have good rooms and service when I visited visited in 2008. Eight years later, the quality has declined, but it is still very good. The rooms were clean, and you could purchase some food/drink in the...

We stayed at Redwall with our two sons for two nights in mid December and found it glorious. The people were incredibly nice, spoke flawless English, the rooms were very pretty and cozy and were beautifully and tastefully decorated, as was the entire place. Had amazing, extremely informative and enjoyable tea ceremony with Ying on our second day, and lovely...

I love this hotel. The receptionist and manager have been looking after us like we were the apple of their eye. They are patient with you if you do not understand and need time to think things over. I believe all the moaning English-speaking travellers only stay for a short time and judge by first impressions. But would not many...

The hotel has full set a services: taxi, rent a car, guide, change money etc. Very friendly staff, clean room, not new furniture and bathroom 🚽 🛀. Near the hotel located small shop and chinese fast food. The nearest subway station 🚉 located 15-20 minutes by foot. But the Imperial Palace and Jingshan Park with Buddha' statue - 5-10 minutes...

To keep this short I'll start with the pros: it was in a great location, we could go for walks at night and felt safe, there's a lot of street food and even little restaurants to try, for a tour to the Great Wall this hotel is in the city centre so they can pick you up from here (which...

I stayed in this hotel as part of a tour, and was very glad I was not coming back. The hotel's location is convenient for the Imperial Palace, but the neighborhood itself was questionable and made me feel afraid to leave at night. The elevator to the rooms was located next to very smelly public toilets, which did not do...

The Hotel is well located. Staff is courteous but English language is a bit of a problem ( like most of China). But still can manage with the reception who can converse in broken English. Travel desk has very cooperative people and can talk in English. Rooms are small but Overall it is Value for money.

We stayed at the GWH last week. What a disappointment. Our room was tiny, the bathroom had a shower head and a drain in the corner next to the toilet. So inevitably when you shower the water goes all over the floor. The tiles also had some mold on them. The room stank of stale cigarettes and the window was...

If you like the smell of stale sweat and cigarettes, pealing, failed 80's decor and the sound of clunky air conditions and gurgling pipes this is for you! Otherwise go elsewhere! The rooms are big and the location is good, but clean and smell free is important to me and there are plenty of nicer cheaper places very close by....

The hotel location is just nice, just behind Forbidden City and it is only 10 minutes walking distance to there, in front of the hotel can easily reach bus station and connecting to Dongsi Metro Station. The room is very clean and comfortable, wifi modem can be requested fro hotel staffs. Overall, nice! Wo ai Beijing!
