Myself and my boyfriend stayed here in Sep 2009 for about 8 nights as this was the cheapest place we could find available after 5 hours of searching in the sweltering beijing heat. The reception staff speak no english but are friendly enough. Some rooms are big and ours was, it was a twin with air con although we never felt it. Our room was infested with cockroaches and in our whole stay the room was NEVER hoovered, including not having been hoovered before we arrived, leaving the previos guest food remnants down the side of my bed. However the "cleaners" will repeatedly bang on doors around 7-8am each day despite having the do not disturb sign on but then never actually clean the room.
The hotel is a fantastic location next to Wangfujing St and has a food market outside but nothing inside the hotel is worth paying the room price for. We paid about 40USD a night but it is not even worth that unfortunately. More
