We are here for 1 night due to last mins trip arrangement and the room was better than our expectation. We stay in Private room for 2 pax with private bathroom located on the groud floor, the room is spacious, well lited with good airconditioner, the bathroom is tidy and clean, even though it is a hostel, the room have...

The Shijia hotel is better known as Beijing Saga Youth Hostel. It is defenitly not a hotel, but a hostel. We stayed in a private room with private bathroom. The room was spacious and clean, though never cleaned during our stay (and we stayed 6 nights). The bar downstairs is nice, with cheap beer and open 'till midnight. Also good...

A good, well established hostel in an attractive Hutong. It's closer to Tiananmen Square than you might realise. Still a bit of a walk to the nearest subway station. Also, there's not a great abundance of restaurants, etc around the hotel. More just little shops selling packaged food. The staff were very friendly, and sell stamps and post your postcards...

This is one of my favourite hostels in Beijing. The staff are very welcoming and competent in their job role, especially the bar staff Jimmy and Jeff! The happy hour deal is really good with 2 local beers costing £1.50! The rooftop is good to chill on and the area itself is quite centrally located! Denshikou metro station is 10...

The restaurant of this hotel is so nice! Feel awesome to take a big bite in open air, Shijiahutong. I enjoyed the traditional Hutong building, Siheyuan yard, very nice western food at one moment! Cant praise more to have a meal there for business meal or lovers' meal, but it is expensive since it costs 150 RMB per person.

This was the first hostel we stayed at on our travels and it was brilliant! The staff are so helpful and their English is excellent. They pointed us in the right direction for food, the subway and even booked train tickets for us. We went on the Great Wall trip which can be booked through the hostel which is excellent....

Staff is outstanding - couldn't be sweeter. Rooms are fine, but the walls are like paper. You can hear everything that happens in the rooms and halls around you, including voices, showers, toilet flushing, and the partying in the restaurant if you're unfortunate enough to be above it.

Very nice, friendly and helpful staff, clean and good rooms, good location, not far from the subway station and not far from famous attractions like temple of heaven, forbidden city, or silk market. Also, there is a bar/restaurant inside the hotel which is very convenient. And it's very good and not expensive. I would recommend it!

This is the first time that I have ever stayed in a hostel. I think that you need to adjust your expectations because this is not a hotel nor do they do things that are remotely western. Just roll with it and you'll be fine. First, the good parts. The staff is excellent. They were able to provide us with...

I got a couple room and the room was nice and clean. Is not so far to the subway station, to me was not a problem to walk to the subway. The pollution in all city was terrible so the hostel couldn't help us in this problem. The gave us information about maps and touristic attractions. The staffs were kind...
