We stay at a lot of Four Seasons hotels. We ended up staying at the Peninsula last minute. The rooms were absolutely exquisite. Large, super clean, very comfortable. The service was excellent--in particular the concierge service. Outstanding location in the middle of a vibrant retail part of town. Highly, highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel's Favorite
I cannot think of anything bad to say about the hotel. Everything was great. And to top it all off, it was in a convenient location. Walkable to Forbidden City & Tiananmen Square & nearby mall. (which is a great plus given the likelihood of getting a taxi and not getting stuck in traffic for what seems like eternity in Beijing). Check in, check out was speedy and problem free with very courteous service. Service was great and staff was friendly and greeted us whenever we entered or exited. Room was very spacious and quiet and bed was so comfortable. Everything was controlled by several in room i-pad devices. Bathroom was spacious and well designed where 2 people can run around without bumping into each other. Added bonus was the TV on the foot of the bathtub where you can enjoy watching your favorite program while soaking in the tub. Concierge was also very helpful in directions and making arrangement for our private Great Wall tour. Also made arrangements on our departure morning to have prearranged transportation waiting to take us to airport. Highly recommonded !

I have to say it’s hard to decide on a favorite hotel after staying in a few good brands . The Peninsula Beijing gave me a deep impression . Located in Wang Fu Jing , They have the fancy brands , Chanel (one of their flagship tenant) , Hermès , Louis Vuitton , Gucci , Armani , and etc . It’s not a big mall attached to it , they are found mainly on the lobby level. I like the simple yet charismatic lobby , with time to hop in and out of the boutiques while waiting for your car or appointment . The Chinese restaurant is a must to try ! Make sure you get the Master Chef to cook up something nice for you ! He has served royalties and celebrities around the world . I like his humbleness and his sincerity to make sure the patrons are well fed and taken care of .

Stay again. Received a cute birthday cake from the hotel. Tasted delicious moon cake. And the restaurant presented champagne for us to celebrate graduation. A smaller Wangfujing Suite this time. Wish a larger room next stay. Thanks to the FO staff and GSM Katherine.

This was our first trip to mainland China and Beijing was our first stop. We arrive at our hotel at close to 7pm after the long journey. We are staying at the Peninsula Beijing in the Wangfujing district. Within walking distance from the main commercial pedestrian artery (Wangfujing Street), the hotel is also within walking distance from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. It seems that the hotel administration was so happy to see us brave Canadian tourists that decided to come despite all the political tension between our nations that they automatically upgraded us to a fancy suite, instead of the regular room we had booked. We were happy to find out the great news at the front desk but our jaws dropped when we reached our suite. The place is literally bigger than our apartment in Montreal. It had a full size bedroom with King size bed, a full size living room with a couch, a dining room with seating for 8, an office area, a full size bathroom, a powder room, a dressing room, a walk-in closet, 3 television sets, 6 telephones and many more features that I missed in the 4 days we were there. Other than that, our stay was extraordinary. The hotel staff were very kind and attended to our every need. The hotel concierges (there were many) were especially helpful. They assisted us in booking tickets for attractions, arranging private taxis for tours, recommended first class restaurants and made our stay very pleasant. It is without any hesitation that I recommend The Peninsula. It will be a welcome haven in an otherwise busy City
