We stay at the Beijing St. Regis about 15 + nights a year; it is one of our favorite places to relax in Beijing. The staff is super friendly; the amenities, (especially the natural spring-fed hot tubs, saunas, and swimming pool) are exceptional, and the location is ideal. We usually stay in the Diplomat Room; sometimes we will get a suite, especially if we are having friends over for a get together. We are always happy with the room and the service. On our most recent trip, my wife celebrated her Birthday. I asked Pandora and her butler staff if they could do something with the room, and they put together some excellent decorations as well as a fruit basket and champagne. Very well done! In the evenings, we enjoy hanging out in the Press Club Bar. The head bartender Max always genuinely greets us and shares some great conversation. The location of the hotel in the diplomatic area is well situated for walks around interesting places and eateries; we visit Ritan Park each day we stay at the hotel. The St. Regis has always been a top-notch experience for us. ~V…
Perfect in every aspect. Good room condition, a little bit dry air at winter Beijing. Lovely butler team. Fantastic restaurant, Celetial Court, highly recommended. Only the free car parking is gone, now around less than 4 CNY per hour for hotel residences.
Since 2019, I have had long stays in this St. Regis. Usually a week or more. This hotel is located right next to consulates. The decor is dated but it’s an understated old fashion glam. Reminds me of the Old Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong in terms of its vibe. What really makes the stay every time is how attentive the staff are. How warm and helpful they are. There is nothing robotic about the service here, they just TAKE GOOD CARE of you. I want to thank Cathy and her team. When I briefly mentioned that there was a problem with the lift as I was checking out. They really took the time to get back to me and made sure the matter was taken care of. I really appreciate how serious they took their standard of service. If you are in for business travels and you are into sports, this hotel has a squash court, a massive pool and a huge gym. …
All the staff are very polite, especially the Head Butler Pandora and her assistant Dong Peng, who make my staying experience feel like home. Because my stay coincided with my birthday, the butler department specially selected a high-floor suite for me. They decorate the room and prepare a delicious birthday cake for me. When I get out of the elevator, Pandora personally lead other butlers to greet me. They introduce the facilities to me in detail. At six o’clock in the evening, I participate in the saber champagne ceremony. The managers of various departments sing a birthday song for me and invite me to taste the excellent champagne. I also taste Bloody Mary in the executive lounge, which is a specialty wine of every St. Regis. My room type is a St. Regis suite and a small birthday party was held at parlor in the evening. The butler’s service was very considerate. They prepared ice buckets for us for many times and took a group photo for us. During the afternoon, the butler prepared scented tea and dessert for me. The quality of Americano made by the butler is also amazing. There are many types of delicious breakfast, including Western and Chinese breakfast. The staff will make coffee or tea for each person and provide the morning newspaper. Overall, the butler service is worthy on the title "Legend", the St. Regis suite is very large and tidy, the bed is quite comfortable and the bathtub is deep, so you can have a perfect bath experience. This is a perfect experience. I am already looking forward to my next stay.…
After a few nights at the horrible Renaissance Beijing capital, I moved into St Regis. Before I arrived , I messaged the Front Desk about my horrible experience at the other hotel. Given I am a platinum member, they offered me a free upgrade and said they will take care of my visit to make a memorable stay. And they did their very best ! On arrival, I was greeted by Ms Cathy their Front Desk Director who is super nice and helpful. Then in my room, they have given me lovely touch like cookies and sweeties after I told them I don’t need fruits. And the Butler team Ms Pandora and Ms Fiona came to introduce themselves. They travelled extra miles and made me honey lemon tea when they heard I had a sore throat. One day I came back I got a card. It’s this kind of little touch that made it special. I brought the card back and it’s standing next to my other cards 😂 Hotel is all the similar but not always same. It’s the experience and hospitality that made those special ones stood out. I think Pandora and her team is a key to this. The room is a classic luxury suite. The suite itself on the small size but it’s More than adequate. The lounge sitting area is Comfortable and classy of which I like. The bathroom is immaculately clean with good amenities. The bed is comfortable as expected. I had a dinner and breakfast there. Food wise, my lamb chop was made perfection but so so on the fish broth. The set menu is great value for money though, and given the attention to details on the selection of ingredients and plating, I think it’s a worthwhile to try. Breakfast was slightly disappointing, I have seen better. And the fact that they had offered no fresh juice is kinda of surprising. The services at dining room was an interesting one. The young servers were trying hard but can tell training not adequate. More than once they took away knife and folks and forgot to bring back. I was given a almost torn Napkin...of which should not have been used to start with. I must say though the young team tried their best. Always polite and making the effort which I appreciate. Concierge service is disappointing. No one helped at door with luggages. I guess it’s common in China as often or not they don’t send people waiting outside. Called three times for concierge to come and help with luggages and didn’t show up. Ended up being it down myself. Funny thing is they asked their Chief Concierge to be the one standing there to check temperature and green code. Kinda waste of talent really. I will say considering all these as minor hiccups, honestly the Butler team , the Front Desk and the room itself are good enough as a reason for me to go back. Restaurant is also a good spot for casual dinner if you don’t fancy going out.…
