This is an authentic style small hotel on one of the many hutong streets in the Qiamen section. A giant Buddha, red lanterns, couches and plants in an indoor courtyard all greet you. The rooms are small, but have a kettle to boil water (or make instant coffee) and plastic slippers for the shower are provided. The Chinese style buffet breakfast changed daily, but always consisted of four hot dishes (rice, egg and tomato, vegetables, breads), side dishes of nuts, vegetables and two or three hot soups. It certainly filled us up for the day. The location was perfect, in a narrow hutong alleyway off the bustling and amazing Qianmen pedestrian street. Tiananmen Square is a 15 or so minute walk away, as is two metro stops on line 2 and line 7. The only problem was they charged us an additional 11% tax over our Booking.com fully paid reservation, and they charged it in US dollars. Not nice!

If it was possible to give a place 0 stars, this would be a contender at the front of the queue. The hotel itself is in a very good location but unfortunately that's where anything positive about this place ends. The hotel itself and the rooms are falling apart. Half the lights dont work, wallpaper is peeling off the filthy walls, the bathroom has more cracked tiles than a mosaic and enough black mould in there to warrant a hazmat suit. The place is noisy with paper thin walls and the front desk staff are rude (especially the young lady who works there, not only rude but also will help you with nothing). The general smell of the place leaves much to be desired and most of the corridors are used to hang other peoples laundry which is drip drying all over the floors. If you literally just want somewhere to sleep maybe this is for you, but its the most overpriced hotel for what it gives you. Personally as painful as the prices are in Beijing its most likely worth paying a bit extra to stay somewhere else.

A very nice budget hotel with a great location close to the city center and the city's main attractions. You can reach Tianmen square and the forbidden city in 10 min walking. Also very close to the subway(Qianmen st), restaurants and stores.

First of all I would like to mention that the Hotel located in one of the central area. Very close to Qianmen Street, where you find many shops and restaurants. 10 minutes walk to Qianmen Metro Station and very easy to find just use offline map. The Forbidden City is in walking distance 25 mintues from the Hotel. We spent 3 nights here and the Staff from the Reception has a basic English but they very helpful. The hotel provide WIFI at the Lobby and the hotel room as well but unfortunately in 3 days we cannot connect at all, so we did not have internet connecion for that time. When you booking a room, do not book a standard room because it is very tiny. Try a higher option. The Standard hotel room is very basic, do not expect to much. When you arrive in Capital Airport and if you choose Airport Express Link train you have direct connection from Dongzhimen station with line 2 to Qianmen Metro Station. In overall is in great location to discover Beijing.

Management has outsourced every function of the hotel including valet, room service, housekeeping, etc. As such, everyone is focused on their own service and operations with minimal to no focus on the overall hotel guest experience. We were staying for 8 days and revived no housekeeping on the 2nd day, 7pm service on the 3rd and limited sevice on the 4th.... complaints go without note and must speak Spanish to communicate with the staff anyways. Completely mismanaged operation with limited regard for customer experience. No concept for level of service to qualify as a premium resort. Rooms are great but not worth the hassle. If you stay here at the hotel just be prepared to be self-sufficient... and better bring the Spanish translator. 2 stars only for the quality of the room. Sevice gets no stars given the level of effort. Could be something good if got management or operations that really cared.
