A fantastic place to stay in an original neighborhood (Hutong). The rooms are spacious, very clean, originally decorated and the beds are very comfortable. Heating or AC are present. Rooms surround a private courtyard. Service is perfect and (most) staff speaks English. Upon arrival we got a some fruit and a personalized note. When we left we received some Chinese tea to take home. Very thoughtful! The included breakfast is to your order (to choose from Continental, American or Chinese, any additions cost extra). The restaurant is very neat and cozy and their menu offers many choices and they have some delicious wines to enjoy. If I ever go back to Beijing, I surely will return to this amazing place!
This is really a perfect place for your visit to Beijing. The hotel is located in a hutong not far from The Forbidden City, Beihai Park, Bell and Drum Tower and Tian’Anmen Square. Staff is friendly and always willing to assist you, rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Restaurant offers fine local and international dishes. Jingshan Garden Hotel made our trip to this great city even more special.
Jingshan Garden Hotel is located a block inside the hutong and is an oasis of calm. Taxis and vans will pick you up and drop you off on the busier street, so you have to walk a block or so, but it's a sweet little walk down a narrow street. The hotel restaurant is good, which is important since we didn't find anywhere nearby to eat. We were there during cold weather, but the room and restaurant are cozy. In warmer weather, the courtyard would be a lovely place to sit. The front desk helped us get taxis since it's almost impossible to get them on your own. 30-40 minute interesting stroll to the Forbidden City. Would stay here again.
The hotel style and condition is nice and well preserved in a traditional Hutong. The location is good in walking distance of the Forbidden City, although the closest metro station is around 15 minutes away. The service is good and polite and they try to communicate in English and give you some support in your travel.
This hotel is located in a more local area of Beijing. You will be greatly disappointed if you are expecting facilities/amenities similar to that of a 5 star hotel as it is a boutique hotel after all. However, the service provided by the hotel staff is impeccable. When we checked in, we were provided with a printed out guide of Beijing attractions, restaurants and even maps of The Great Wall and Forbidden City. Breakfast choice, albeit small (only 3 choices), the food provided was scrumptious and filling. I particular enjoyed the traditional breakfast of congee, mantou and siew mai. The hotel also gave us a pack of tea leaves as a take home souvenir when we left. I truly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The hotel grounds were beautiful and facilities adequate. The only downside would be that it is quite far from the metro, about 20minutes walk. …
