I stayed at the Holiday Inn Haidian and I truly had a great time. I absolutely loved my room. It was roomy, clean sparkling and elegant. The bed was very comfortable. I loved that it had soft and firm pillows. The sheets and comfortable were the kind that you just wish to have on your own bed. After a long trip, it was a blessing to rest in that wonderful bed. I sleep like a baby. The only suggestion that I have is about the A/C. It was set to a specific temperature and I couldn’t change it. I called the front desk. They sent two people but at the end I had to give up regarding this.

I have been to this hotel many many times, but I wont be returning, The room I was given was old, dusty and outdated. This never happened before. When my husband asked for another room, he was told that he would have to pay more for a different room. Because it was my birthday and he went a head and paid more. The second room was smaller than the first, but at this point we just let it go. Now on to the breakfast. The food was very bland and not many vegetarian options. Also, there was so many staff members just walking around, but none of them were taking dishes off of the guest tables. Its a buffet, so at this point you could be sitting there with dishes just piling up on the table. My husband and I just started reusing our dishes as the staff continued to walk around. The final straw for me was the pool. My husband and I were in the cold Jacuzzi and watched one of the hotel workers walk in and and stare at the woman foreigner swimming. She was the only one in the pool and there were no children in the pool. It made us not want to even swim if he was just gonna stare at us. We're adults and it was just uncomfortable. This was disappointing as it was my birthday and I was really looking forward to swimming. Needless to say, I had some personal problems with this hotel and I wont be returning. If you dont find these to be things that would bother you then you shouldnt have a problem.

Dear Kareena, Frist of all, Happy Birthay to you, a belated blessing. We feel so sorry to let our repeat guest leave such a negative comment about your hotel experience, i'm sure this is not our standard of service. Our people might fail to explain the price difference between Deluxe room and Superior room which is better facilities and higher view and please do remind us your birthday if it's not in the duration of your stay here, we will be glad to prepare a birthday surprise for you. We'd like to apologize for the improper behavior our people showed in the restaurant and pool, a series of trainings will come to remind them of service with true hospitality. Thank you for your suggestions and hope your next stay here will meet your expectation as always.

We are here as part of a tour so all our transport is organised. We find the hotel excellent, sparkling room, good breakfast, gym and plenty of space. Very quiet even being at front of hotel. Recommend.

Dear Guest, We are so glad to provide accommodation to guests from all over the world with the same true hospitality. Besides the well-maintained facilities, we hope you have been also taken good care of by our people. Welcome back next time and we can introduce more to you like our authentic Indian flavor restaurant Ramayana and our summer back yard BBQ, I'm sure you will like them.

The hotel was a convenient stay for outings to the Forbidden City, Gardens, etc. Unfortunately, the concierge lacked any sign of "hospitality". My wife, son and I stayed here for several nights - most which were filled with rain - when we asked for an extra umbrella, we were told in broken English, "only one per room". Really? It's not like we were going to steal the darn thing. We managed though, and had a wonderful time in the city. Banks are close, and food across the street at a "local" resturaunt was amazing. Also, there is a grocery within walking distance, just east of the hotel. I highly recommend getting breakfast (and other food) at the grocery.

The hotel exceeded our expectations for a two week stay. Large room with king size bed, electric kettle to make tea, four water battles daily. The breakfast was extensive with Western, Chinese, and Japanese offerings. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for working at Tsinghua University and the closest subway was only a 5 minute walk away.
